Mr. Kent was born February 2, 1951, and was a resident of Troup County most of his life. He was a member of the Holiness church and was employed by Daniel Lulmber Company in LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Hixie Searels.

Mr. Smith was born November 22, 1910, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was the son of William and Mary Ellen Sheridan Smith. He attended St. George Catholic Church, and was an engineer and operator of heavy equipment.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Smith of Sharpsburg, and several children: Constance Crews of Sharpsburg; Charles Joseph Smith Jr., of Cape Coral, Florida; Barbara J. Mrs. Street was born January 22, 1957, in Fulton County to Marvin and Edith Ivester London. She was a registered nurse, and attended Resurrection Lutheran Church.
A funeral will be held Monday, December 13, 1999, at Resurrection Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. Gordon Myers will officiate, and burial will be in the Senoia City Cemetery.

Mr. Huckabee was born June 8, 1953 in Hogansville. He lived in the Atlanta area for a number of years before returning to Hogansville in 1991, was a member of Emmanual Baptist Church, and was employed by Loy's Office Supplies in LaGrange. Mr. Huckabee was a musician and was a former member of the Possum Trot Band in Atlanta.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Huckabee of Hogansvillle; mother, Mrs. Jane Huckabee, also of Hogansville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Tim Smith of Grantville and Jennie and Randall Allen of Hogansville; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Iris Huckabee of Eastman; cousins, Mrs. Becky Jane Hill and Mrs. Elaine Daniel, both of Roanoke, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lessie P. Ball, 74, died December 14, 1999.
Mrs. Ball was born March 27, 1925, to the late Otis and Willie Swanson Almond. One of 15 children, she was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she served on the mother's board.
A funeral was held Saturday, December 18, 1999 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Willie L. Geter officiated, assisted by the Rev. T. L. Harris and the Rev. J. T. Coleman. Burial was in the church Cemetery, and her nephews served as pallbearers.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Oliver Ball; two sons, Walter Allmon and his wife Mae of Buffalo, New York, and Michael A. Ball of Newnan; seven grandchildren, Carol A. and Robert Watts, Mark and Kim Allmon, Merrie and Keith Bayard, Tasha Allmon, Laquesha Ball, Perinthius Sierra Ball, and Clara Ann Ball; six great-grandchildren, Kelly N. Jones, Brittany Allmon, Brandon Allmon, Danielle Bayard, Keith Bayard, Jr., and Kenyatta Ball; two sisters, Rozell Lewis and Ora Satterwhite, of Buffalo; sister-in-laws Virginia Bailey, Iretha Almond, Lula Almond Allen, Leona Hunter Almond, and Ruth Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Sallie Mae Bolds, 75, died December 14, 1999.
Mrs. Bolds was born November 5, 1924, in Mascote, West Virginia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Berda Bolds. She moved to Coweta County at a young age, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
A funeral was held Saturday, December 18, 1999, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. J. L. Hendricks, Pastor; the Rev. George Harris, Eulogist; and the Rev. H.H. Dyer, the Rev. J.E. Butler, the Rev. Roy Thomas, and the Rev. Wayne Evans assistants. Burial was in the church Cemetery, and the Masonic Brothers served as pallbearers.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Mrs. Ora Bolds, sons, Charles and George Bolds, and Adolphus Hill, Jr.; daughters, Mary Alice Harrison, Rosa Dell Clerk, Beatrice Hogan, Charlotte White, and Connie Walton; nephew Ezra Bolds; nieces, Rebecca Bolds Brooks, and Patricia Bolds Ross; grandchildren Bryant T. Cooper and Carmen Cooper; great-grandson Zerion J. Cooper, six god grandchildren, 11 great-god grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Opal Lanelle Cox, 75, of Decatur, died Saturday, December 18, 1999 at Eden Garden Assisted Living Home.
Mrs. Cox was born January 19, 1924 in Cleburn County Alabama. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Bosom Buddies. She was a retired secretary for Burroughs Business Machines.
A funeral will be held today, December 19, 1999, at 3 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. James L. Sanders and the Rev. John Beyers will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Surviving are her brothers, Fred and Gary Cox of Newnan and Joe Cox, Jr., of Sharpsburg; her sisters, Evelyn Floyd and Geraldine Smith of Newnan, and a sister-in-law, Mabel Cox of Union City.

Mr. William Cecil Brackett, 69, of Newnan, died Friday, December 17, 1999 at his home.
Mr. Brackett was a member of Victory Tabernacle Church in Newnan, and was retired from the American Can Company.
A funeral will be held today, December 19, 1999 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Williams will officiate, and burial will be in Pitts Cemetery in Moreland.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Mary Brackett; son Steve Brackett and daughter, Susan York, both of Newnan; step-son, Johnny and Treasa Rooker of Newnan; step-daughters, Charlotte and Roger Harper, Pat and Willard Marks, and Peggy and Allen Lambert, all of Newnan; brothers, Roy Brackett of Marietta, Edward Brackett of Sharpsburg, David Brackett of Thomaston and Randy Brackett of Salem, North Carolina; sisters, Vivian Nix of Marietta, and May Moore, Irene Walker and Paulette Eubanks, all of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bartley Jackson Cash
Mr. Bartley Jackson Cash, 96, of Scenic View Dr., Alto, Ga. died Sunday, December 19, 1999 at Habersham County Medical Center following a short illness.
Born in Banks County, Ga. on July 18, 1903, he was the son of the late Freeman Melvin and Thodosia Perkins Cash and was preceded in death by his wife Lois Duckett Cash as well as six sisters and two brothers. He worked on TVA projects in North Carolina and Tennessee. He was the first operator of the filtration water plant in Cornelia in 1935. Mr. Cash then went to Newnan, Ga. in 1941 and was in charge of the water works until 1948. He was in charge of the water works of Milledgeville, Ga. until he retired in 1972. Mr. Cash was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church in the Hollingsworth Community. He was a lifetime member of the Georgia Water Works Association.
A funeral will be Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home South Chapel in Baldwin with the Rev. Gene Todd, the Rev. Glover Morgan and the Rev. Robbie Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann D. Cash of Alto, Ga. and Eloise Cash Grenga of Newnan; sister, Emily C. Tidwell of Chamblee, Ga.; brother, Nelson Cash of Evans, Ga.; two grandchildren.
