Mr. Stanley Robbins Sr., 87, of Franklin, Ga. died February 2, 2000.

Mr. Robbins was born August 1, 1912. He was the husband of the late Lucille Robbins. He was a retired truck driver after 47 years and served in the U.S. Army and Navy as a medic.

The family received friends at Manns-Ferguson Funeral Home in Livonia, MI last weekend. A funeral was Feb. 6 at 3 p.m. at Manns-Ferguson. Burial was in Parkview Memorial Cemetery.

Surviving are children Lori A. Robbins, Stanley E. Robbins Jr., Judith A. Norton and Lance A. Robbins Sr.

Mr. Robert Rabbit Williamson
Mr. Robert Rabbit Williamson, 80, of East Fields Street, Newnan, died February 3, 2000 at Beaulieu Nursing Home in Newnan.

Mr. Williamson was born October 2, 1919 in Heard County, son of Lee Williamson and Pearl Thrower Williamson. He was member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church.

A funeral was Saturday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. with Dr. Bob Daugherty officiating, assisted by the Rev. L. O. Thompson. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. Pallbearers were Edward Norton, Eddie Norton, Tommy Norton, Michael Norton, Gary Williamson and Larry Webb.

Surviving are his wife, Velma Williamson of Newnan, stepdaughter, Wilburn and Shirley Eason of Newnan; stepson, Bobby L. and Jane Dean of Carrollton; brother, Lonnie Williamson of Newnan; seven step-grandchildren, Randy Eason of Newnan, Wayne Eason of Marietta, Donna Smith of Eva, Alabama, and Teresa Brown, Michael Dean, Debbie Dean and Tammy Dean, all of Roopville, Ga.; eight step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Nora Drake Beckom, 88, of Gainesville, Ga., died Tuesday, February 8, 2000 at New Horizons West.

Mrs. Beckom was born October 19, 1911 in Georgia. She was a retired sewing machine operator.

A funeral will be held at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan Thursday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Drake officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

Pallbearers will be Cem Drake, Sonny Drake, Charles Gowens, Rodney Haynes, Danny Melson, Lamar Melson and Harry Spencer Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Syndell Bowen Sr., 61, of Franklin, Ga., were held Saturday, February 5, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home chapel in Franklin, Ga. with the Rev. Talmadge Chandler officiating.

The U.S. Navy Honor Team presented the American Flag, and the program included a patriotic rendition.

Pallbearers were Jeff Hines, Waynes Combs, David Bowen, Lawrence Lipford, Bob Krach and Vince Edwards. Honorary pallbearers were the officers of the American Legion Post 148: Commander - Frank Cook, Dock Davis, Taylor Lee, V. D. Massey, Ben Hill and Talmadge Davis. Burial was in Franklin City Cemetery.

Mr. Bowen was born March 23, 1938 to Mrs. Gilberta Bowen and the late Lewis Sundell Bowen. He was a Navy Veteran of the Cuban Conflict and was vice-commander of American Legion Post 148. He was a retired order filler for Kmart Corporation. He was a member of the AARP and First Baptist Church of Franklin, Ga.

Surviving are his wife, Faye Edwards Bowen of Franklin; mother, Gilberta Bowen of Roswell, Ga.; daughters, Lydia Sheffield of Acworth, Ga., Kecia Cole of Meansville, Ga., and Lisa Mills of Franklin, Ga.; sons, David Bowen and Kenny Stephens, both of Franklin, and Keith Mashburn of Keni, Alaska; sisters, Betty Morris of Cumming, Ga., Rena McClure of Roswell, Ga. and Patricia Shivers of Buford, Ga.; brother, Bob "Robert" Bowen of Mabelton, Ga.; nine grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Linda Mae Webb Eley, 50, of Moreland, Ga., died January 31, 2000 at Newnan Hospital after several months of declining health.

Mrs. Eley was born August 19, 1949 in Troup County, Ga. to Irene Boyd and William Webb. She was a waitress by profession and a member of Riverside Baptist Church in Heard County. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elbert Eley Sr.

A funeral was Thursday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Ga. with the Rev. Terry Calhoun and the Rev. Milton Winslett officiating.

Pallbearers were James Eley Jr., Joe Eley, David Collins, Billy Hand, Bobby Joe Dean and Robert Webb. Burial was in Centralhatchee Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hassle Lee Knott, 78, of LaGrange, Ga., died February 4, 2000 at the Twin Mountain Nursing Home in LaGrange.

Mr. Knott was born August 31, 1921 to the late John Jackson Knott and Mary Elizabeth Smith in Randolph County, Alabama. He was a home builder by trade. He served in World War II and was a Baptist by faith.

A funeral was Monday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home chapel in Franklin, Ga. with the Rev. Ridley Parmer and the Rev. Frank Shiver officiating.

Pallbearers were Junior Parmer, Morris Harris, William Evans, Bill Parmer and Richard Newbury. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery in Woodland, Alabama.

Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Ener Yearta of LaGrange, Ga.; daughter, Ms. Kay Simmons of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fannie Dutton Jordan, 81, of 5th Street, Arnco, Ga., died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.

Mrs. Jordan was born July 10, 1918 in Coweta County, Ga. She was a homemaker and member of Arnco Baptist Church. Her husband Mr. Jessie Lee Jordan preceded her in death in 1983.

The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 11 from 7-9 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.

A funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Paul Dennis will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andy Jordan, Chris Jordan, Kevin Harris, Brad Binion, Steve Millians, Buddy Gaddy and Charles Combs.

Mr. Thomas Edward Harris Jr. of Hope Shirey Way, Newnan, died at his home Tuesday, February 8, 2000.

Mr. Harris was born December 31, 1938 to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Harris. A brother and sister, Clifford Harris (CF), and Carrie Lou Redwine preceded him in death.

A funeral will be held at graveside Friday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Cemetery in Newnan with the Rev. A. R. Cooper officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Surviving are his sister, Mrs. Rosa H. Reid; brother-in-law, Mr. Alvin F. Reid of Atlanta, Ga.; and two nieces, four nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Erma Gean Smith Abner, 69, of Franklin, Ga. died Thursday, February 10, 2000 at the Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, Ga.

Mrs. Abner was born April 10, 1930 to the late Helf Edon Smith and Mary Frost Smith in Randolph County, Alabama. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Abner. She was a faithful member of the Cabin Creek Baptist Church and a past member of the Franklin Church of God. She had served both churches in many positions, including teaching Sunday school, president of the Ladies Ministry, and the clerk of the church. She was a retired seamstress for Baby Cloze Inc.

A funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. at Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Ga. Burial will be in Franklin City Cemetery.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Kathy J. and George R. Casey Jr.; one granddaughter, Kimberly M. Powers; four sisters, Miriam George, Lona Grant, Sue Burke and Jeanette Johnson; two step-brothers, Aubrey Pope and Robbie Pope; aunts, Kate Carroll and Ruth Smith.

Mrs. Angela Denise Kline, 36, of Oaklawn Circle, Newnan, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.

Mrs. Kline was born November 4, 1963 and was a native of Peachtree City, Georgia. She was a homemaker.

A funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. at Tri-County Baptist Church. The Rev. Patrick Gill will officiate, and burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens on Highway 54.

Pallbearers will be Elijah Kline, Glenn Kline, Ronnie Monroe, Tony Monroe, Greg Pratter and Ronnie Pratter.

Mr. Karon Eugene "Gene" Crews, 21, on Hogansville, died Feb. 10, 2000, near Franklin.

Mr. Crews was born Jan. 31, 1979, In Lagrange, and lived in Hogansville all his life. He was a carpenter and a Baptist.

A funeral will be held today, Feb. 13, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Paul Stitcher will officiate and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery

Mrs. Charlie Maud Adcock, 86, of Senoia, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at a family member's home.

Mrs. Adcock was born March 14, 1913, to the late Charles and Bessie Crawford Byram. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert T. Adcock, her siblings Matilda Cooper, Alma Bowers, and John Byram, and her sons Charles and James Adcock.

A funeral will be held today, Feb. 13, 2000, at 4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. Father David Epps will officiate, and burial will be in the Senoia City Cemetery.

Surviving are her children, Lynda and James Swicord of Senoia, Larry and Rita Adcock of Senoia, and daughter-in-law Lynda Adcock of Senoia; siblings, Edna Banks of Turin, Lois Williford of Palmetto, Ruth Brittain of Cleveland, and Talmadge Byram of Tyrone; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Parks Wingo Avery
Mr. Parks Wingo Avery, 66, of Village Lane, Newnan, died Saturday, February 12, 2000 at his residence.

Mr. Avery was born February 23, 1933 in Coweta County. He retired from Coca-Cola sales in 1988 after 30 years of service. A veteran, he served two years in the United States Army. He was a 1950 graduate of Newnan High School and graduated in 1956 from Clemson University where he had an athletic scholarship, was a letterman and 2 years an All-American.

The family will receive friends at Newnan Presbyterian Church Tuesday, Feb. 15 following the funeral service.

The funeral will be at Newnan Presbyterian at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. Harry Barrow and the Rev. Meg Jackson-Clark officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

A funeral was held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14 at C. J. Mowell and Son Chapel in Fayetteville, Ga. Burial was in Westminster Memorial Gardens. Dr. Dan Houston officiated.

Mr. Charles A. Estes, 85, of St. Marys, Ga., died Sunday, February 13, 2000 at Camden Medical Center in St. Marys, Ga.

Mr. Estes was born in Meriwether County, Ga. and had been a resident of St. Marys for the past 32 years. He had retired from Camden County Board of Education where he had served as principal of St. Marys Elementary School in St. Marys for 12 years. Prior to his retirement from Camden County Schools, he had served as principal in Ocilla, Ashburn and Sharpsburg. He was a member of First Baptist Church, St. Marys, where he was an honorary deacon.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, St. Marys. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. The Rev. Keith Harwood will officiate. Pallbearers will be Charles Smith Jr., John E. Dubose, Hugh Gibbs Flanders, Edwin Merrow, Dr. Phil Hooten and Frank Flanders III. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of First Baptist Church of St. Marys.

Mrs. Bill Brogdon Spence, 80, of Sugar Hill, Ga., died Sunday, February 13, 2000.

Mrs. Spence was a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County, Ga. She began her working career at the shoe shop in Buford, then later at Chicopee in the Luminite Division. She opened her beauty shop in 1962 in Sugar Hill where she continued to work until her death. She was a graduate of Terrell Beauty College in Gainesville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Buford, a member of the Bykota Daisy Shadburn Sunday School Class and of the Abundant Life Fellowship at First Baptist. She was devoted to her family, her church and her beauty shop.

A funeral will be Wednesday, Feb. 16 at First Baptist Church in Buford at 2 p.m. with remains placed in state at 1 p.m. The Rev. G. Stephen Wood and the Rev. Charles Pirkle will officiate. Burial will be in Sugar Hill Cemetery. There will be open visitation at the funeral home Tuesday.

Mr. Michael Lamar Adams, 43, of Lake City, Ga., died February 11, 2000 in Lake City after several years of declining health.

He was born in Heard County, Ga. to Anna Templeman Adams, and the late Huey Adams Jr. on November 17, 1956. He was a truck driver by profession. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a Christian by faith.

A funeral was Sunday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Carlton Rivers officiating. Burial was in Antioch Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Adams, Timothy Cox, Rodney Denton, Huey Adams, Ross Adams and Mike Denton.

Mrs. Prather was born May 10, 1917 in Coweta County. She was a member of the Summer Hill Baptist Church in Moreland, and later joined the Old Mount Bethlehem Baptist Church in Newnan where she served on the usher board.

A funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. at Summer Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. J. T. Coleman officiating, assisted by the Rev. Rufus Smith, the Rev. Crafford Smith, the Rev. Robert L. Teagle and the Rev. R. W. Sutton. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the deacons of Old Mt. Bethlehem and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be The Brotherhood.

Mrs. Charlie Maud Adcock, 87, of Senoia, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2000, at a family member's home.

Mrs. Adcock was born March 14, 1912, to the late Charles and Bessie Crawford Byram. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert T. Adcock, her siblings Matilda Cooper, Alma Bowers, and John Byram, and her sons Charles and James Adcock.

A funeral was Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at 4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home with Father David Epps officiating, and burial was in the Senoia City Cemetery.

Surviving are her children, Lynda and James Swicord of Senoia, Larry and Rita Adcock of Senoia, and daughter-in-law Lynda Adcock of Senoia; siblings, Edna Banks of Turin, Lois Williford of Palmetto, Ruth Brittain of Cleveland, and Talmadge Byram of Tyrone; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mildred Ellis Chester, 80, died Saturday, February 12, 2000 at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro, Ga. after an extended illness.

The Bulloch County, Ga., native was married for 47 years to the late Eulie Chester. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Statesboro.

A funeral was Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jake A. Futch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James N. Barnes and the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Faye Chester and Adrian and Gwenn Chester, all of Statesboro, and Gene and Patricia Chester of Newnan; daughters and son-in-law, Pat Morris of Hopeulikit, and Delina Sue and Gary Silver of Atlanta; brothers, John Paul Ellis and Lannie Ellis both of Hopeulikit; three sisters, Wilma Davis of Winnabow, N.C., Ulmer Hodges and Helen Hayslip, both of Statesboro; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. William Roy "Bud" Dingler, 77, of Welcome-Arnco Road, Newnan, Ga., died Tuesday, February 15, 2000 at his residence.

Mr. Dingler was born December 1, 1922 in Georgia. He was a retired machinist, having worked at William L Bonnell Company in Newnan. He also served his country in the armed forces.

A funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. at graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. C. A. Jernigan will officiate. Pallbearers will be Buddy Dingler, Jeff Dingler, Will Dingler, Benjamin Long, Stephen Morris and Jody Newman.

Mr. Charles R. Ferber, 82, of Hogansville, Ga., died Monday, February 7, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital after several years of declining health.
A memorial service for Mr. Ferber in Florida is in the spring.
Mr. Ferber was born June 28, 1917 in Washington, D. C. to the late Charles Louis Ferber and Ester Agnes Hesen Ferber. He was a retired printer with the Atlanta Journal and Constitution. He was a decorated World War II veteran, and a Catholic by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn A. Ferber of Hogansville, Ga.; daughters, Margot Spradlin of Alexandria, Va., Susan Cramer of Hogansville, Ga. and Kathryn Quattrone of Fairfax, Va.; sons, Robert A. Ferber of Stockbridge, Ga. and William Thomas Ferber of Tucson, Az.; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Murrill Emma Leach, 85, of Newnan, died Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at Fayette Community Hospital.
Mrs. Leach was born January 15, 1915 in Penobscot, Maine.
The family will receive friends at the home of Brian and Marie Dameier on Friday, Feb. 18 between 6 and 8 p.m. The home is located at 170 Springwater Chase near Sharpsburg.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Bob Carter of Newnan; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ms. Annie Pearl Thompson

Ms. Annie Pearl Thompson, 75, of Atlanta and a native of Coweta County died Monday, February 14, 2000 at Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta.
Ms. Thompson was born in Coweta County July 17, 1924. A former member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Newnan, she was most recently a member of the Antioch Baptist Church, Atlanta. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law James A. (Carrie) Thompson of Atlanta; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Blount and Jessie Mae Arnold; sisters-in-law, Virginia and Eunice Thompson; a host of nieces and nephews.
Several sisters and brothers preceded her in death: Mattie Bell and Margaret Thompson, Rawson, Millard and Alonzo Thompson.
A funeral was Saturday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. W. J. Johnson officiating, assisted by other ministers. Burial was in Eastview Cemetery, Pallbearers were nephews and friends.

Mrs. Rose Marie DeSatnyik Westlake, 87, of Georgia and formerly of Fords, NJ, died Monday, February 14, 2000 at her home in Whitesburg, Ga.
Mrs. Westlake was born Sept. 2, 1912 in Perth Amboy, NJ. She lived in Fords, NJ for 70 years, moving to Georgia 10 years ago. She was the bookkeeper with the family-owned Exxon station in Fords for more than 30 years before retiring.
She was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords; past president of the PTA School #14 in Fords; helped establish the library at the school; former member of the Fords/Keasbey Senior Citizens.
Her husband, William T. Westlake Jr., preceded her in death in 1990.
A funeral will be Saturday at 8:45 a.m. at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Fords Ave., Fords, NJ. It will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords, NJ. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn, NJ.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 p.m.

Mr. Jasper Clayton "J. C." Hart, of Gordon Road, Senoia, died Thursday, February 17, 2000.
Mr. Hart was a master firefighter. He worked for Fuller Brush for 18 years before he began his career with the Clayton County Fire Department. He had served for 24 years and currently was at station 11 where he was driver of an air and light truck.
A funeral will be Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. at Harps Crossing Baptist Church with remains placed in state at 1 p.m. Dr. C. Robert Allred will officiate. Burial with full honors will be at White Oak Presbyterian Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City.

Mr. Watford was a retired plasterer. A veteran of the U.S. armed forces, he served in the Air Force.

Mr. Roy Willis, 82, of Newnan, Ga., died Tuesday morning, February 15, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mr. Willis, a native of Glen Dean, Kentucky, moved to Newnan 15 years ago. A member of the United States Marine Corps., he saw action in the South Pacific during World War II.
Mr. Willis is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Mrs. Alice Mae Willis.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Mr. David Edward Parker, 74, of Newnan, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his home.

Mr. Parker was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Coweta County to the late Hines Hill and Minnie Hold Parker. He served in the United States Navy, and was retired from Murray Printing Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Lyle Parker.

A funeral will be held today, Feb. 20, 2000, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry Holloman will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Freeman, Joey Lyle, Vince Ozmore, Bobby Parker, Kevin Phillips, and Brian Riede.

Surviving are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ozmore, Mrs. Katherine Freeman, Mrs. Irene Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Rainey, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lyle, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rubye Shelnutt, 87, of Newnan, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Shelnutt was born Sept. 30, 1912, in Coweta County to the late Lonnie Ples and Edna Mae Pate Sewell. A homemaker, she was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas Shelnutt.

A funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. Searcy Jackson and the Rev. John Riley will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors today, Feb. 20, at McKoon Funeral Home between 6 and 9 p.m.

Surviving are her sons, Edwin and Howard Shelnutt of Newnan, and Riley Shelnutt of Windham, N.H.; sister, Frances Brown; grandchildren, Brenda, David, John, and Phillip Shelnutt, and great-grandchild Tyler Shelnutt.

Mrs. Julia Stokes Stevens, 97, of Decatur, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000.

Mrs. Stokes was born in Alexander City, Ala., to the late William and Bell Branch Stokes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Frank Stevens, Sr., and a son, James Ormond Stevens.

A funeral will be held today, Feb. 20, at Rosehill Cemetery in Royston. The Rev. Joe F. Stevens, Jr., will officiate.

Surviving are her children, Joe F. Stevens, Jr., Wade Sid Stevens of Decatur, William Don Stevens of Wetumpka, Ala., and Dorothy Waller of Athens; 17 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Castles was born February 23, 1929 in Monroe, North Carolina to Earle Millings Castles Sr. and Edna Shell Foster. He was a welder and a member of Haralson United Methodist Church.

A funeral will be held at Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22 with the Rev. Danny Wilson and the Rev. Troy Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Billy Castles, Brad Castles, Randall Pitts, Kain Allison, Paul Powell, Blue Askew, Nick Waters and Chris McKoy.

Mrs. Sara James Dale, 86, of Woodstock and a former resident of Hogansville, died Saturday, February 19, 2000 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21 at St. James United Methodist Church in Hogansville. The Rev. David Pickard officiated and burial was in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange.

Pallbearers were Lewis Portwood, Lex Portwood, Dennis Brock, Luby Johnson, Greg Bowen and Thomas Dale.

Mrs. Dale was born January 8, 1914 in LaGrange, daughter of the late Lovick and Maudie Hines James. She lived in Hogansville for 55 years, was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, and was retired from Uniroyal Inc. after 40 years of service. She was the wife of the late Thomas L. Dale.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, James T. and Yvonne Dale of Kennessaw; brother, L. P. James of LaGrange; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Emily and James Tanner of Woodstock.

Mrs. Smith was born October 23, 1920 in Coweta County to William Albert Lyle Sr. and Ida Lou Stephens Lyle. She was retired from the textile field. Her husband, Woodson Thomas Smith, preceded her in death.

A funeral was held Monday at 4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan with the Rev. Burdett Wantland officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Frank Freeman, Jason Freeman, Joey Lyle, Vince Ozmore, Danny Phillips and Brian Riede.

Surviving are sisters Katherine Freeman, Louise Ozmore of Newnan and Sara Ann Rainey of Newnan; nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Winkles was born August 12, 1906 in Coweta County. She was a homemaker and member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

A funeral was held Monday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ramey officiating, assisted by the Rev. L. O. Thompson. Burial was in Rock Springs Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen Proctor, Robbie Cason, Daniel Cason, Bubba Proctor, Greg Letourneau and George Letourneau.
