Mr. Charles A. Davenport, 69, of Grantville, Ga. died Thursday, March 30, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Stanley Rogers will officiate and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

Mr. Davenport was born March 25, 1931 in Fayette County, son of the late William Robert Davenport and the late Nellie Kate Turner Davenport. Before making his home in Grantville five years ago, he lived in Heard County and was a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary W. Steele of Grantville; six sisters, Mrs. Sarah Alexander of Lilburn, Mrs. Reba Parker of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Mary F. Mrs. Nellie Littlefield McConnell, 95, of Hogansville, died Friday, March 31, 2000 at Alvista Care Home in Greenville, Ga.
A funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 3 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Wesley Boatman and the Rev. Fred Whitehurst will officite and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

Mrs. McConnell was born August 25, 1904 in Randolph County, Ala., daughter of the late Bob and Cis Cook Littlefield. A resident of Hogansville and Franklin most of her life, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville and was a retired licensed practical nurse.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Era Piper of Pasadena, Texas and Mrs. Bonnie Bowman of Senoia; son, John Mulkey of Lakeland, Florida; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-9 p.m. Saturday and 4-9 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Schaub was born September 10, 1927 in Phenix City, Alabama, daughter of the late John Henry Seaborn and Mary Clifford Hunter Seaborn. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Phenix City. Mrs. Schaub was preceded in death by her husband, Will Schaub.

Mrs. Lillian Jewell Pollard, 88, of Newnan, died Friday, March 31, 2000, at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Jewell was born Dec. 5, 1911, in Fayette County, to Lillie Whitlock and Tollie Chandler. A homemaker, she was a member of Line Creek Baptist Church.
A funeral will be held today, April 2, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. The Rev. Franklin Treadwell will officiate, and burial will be in the Line Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Walls was born June 5, 1909, in Heard County to the late James and Molly Holsombeck Shirey. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, and moved to Columbus nine years ago. She was retired from Uniroyal, Inc., and was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Hogansville.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Newnan High School Class of 1946 and the University of Georgia Class of 1950.

Mr. Fred Otis "Buddy" Gartrell died Wednesday, April 5, 2000 at Southern Regional Hospital in Riverdale, Ga.
Mr. Gartrell was born September 2, 1944 in Washington, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Otis Gartrell Sr. He was reared from an infant by a devoted aunt, Mrs. Elmira Butler. He joined the Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and received his primary education in Coweta County, graduating from Central High School in 1962. He was preceded in death by his aunt October 15, 1999 as well as by his parents and sister, Ms. Dorothy Gartrell and brother John W. Gartrell.
A funeral will be Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m. at Sellers-Smith R. W. S. Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Rufus Smith Sr. officiating, assisted by evangelist Pearl Moreland and Minister Lavania W. Lovett. The body will be cremated following the funeral service. Honorary pallbearers will be the classmates of Central High School of 1962.

Muller Lee "Mutt" Jones, Jr., 78, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000 at Vaca Valley Hospital in Vacaville, California.
Col. Jones was born April 16, 1921 in Roscoe, Ga., the son of the late Muller "Mutt" Lee and Ada Hearn Jones. He was a 1938 graduate of Newnan High School and attended the old Monroe A & M Academy.
Enlisting in the Army Air Corps in 1943, he served during the Berlin Airlift, Korean Campaign and in Vietnam. He was a Command Pilot at the time of his retirement as Colonel in the United States Air Force in 1973.
The funeral will be held in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home Monday, April 10, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tony Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road, Newnan.

Mrs. Alyce Mullins O'Neal Redwine
Mrs. Alyce Mullins O'Neal Redwine, a former resident of Newnan, Ga., died of Alzheimer's disease on April 4, 2000 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Mrs. Redwine was born in St. Louis, Missouri, June 6, 1912. She attended Central Methodist College and Washington University in St. Louis and was associate executive secretary of the St. Louis Metropolitan Church Federation until moving to Atlanta in 1952. In Atlanta she served as minister of education at the Audubon Forest United Methodist Church. Her first husband, Clarence Edgar O'Neal died in 1964.
She married Lloyd Redwine (who preceded her in death) in 1966 and moved to Newnan in 1970 where she lived until 1993. In Newnan she was an active member of the Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Audrey Mullins Simpson of St. Louis, Missouri; son, Dr. Edgar C. O'Neal of New Orleans, Louisiana; granddaughter Colleen Ruth O'Neal of Brooklyn, New York; and a grandson, Patrick Blaine O'Neal of Santa Monica, California; in addition, Lou and Hugh Murphy, sister- and brother-in-law of Newnan, Grace and Earl Redwine, sister- and brother-in-law of Newnan, and Elizabeth Fowler, sister-in-law of Scottsboro, Alabama.
A memorial service will be conducted at Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 15 at 2 p.m. The service will be conducted by Bishop L. Bevel Jones and the Rev. John Evans.

Enlisting in the Army Air Corps in 1943, he served during the Berlin Airlift, Korean Campaign and in Vietnam. He was a Command Pilot at the time of his retirement as Colonel in the United States Air Force in 1973.
The funeral will be held in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home Monday, April 10, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tony Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road, Newnan.
Family visitation is Sunday, April 9, from 7-8:30 at McKoon Funeral Home.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Louise Hurston Jones of Vacaville, California; daughters Maureen (Ed) Vande Hei of Vacaville, Donna (Barry) Norris of Salem, Oregon, and Marcia Jones of Vacaville; grandchildren Tracye Louise Johnson of Suisun, California, Scott Allen Johnson of Ft. Myers, Florida, Bryan (Daradee) Norris of Phoenix, Arizona, and Bret (Charlotte) Norris of Wilmette, Illinois; great-grandchildren Michelle Lauren Johnson and Tara Nicole Johnson of Suisun, California; sister Imogene (Johnny) Brown of Newnan.

Ms. Bessie Livingston, 96, died Friday, April 7, 2000 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga.
Ms. Livingston was born October 8, 1903 in Floy County, Georgia. She was a retired cotton textiles worker. Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be Sunday, April 9 at 2 p.m. Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan. The service will be conducted by Rev. Powers Witcher. Ms. Livingston will be buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

?Mr. Ervin R. Burlew, 100, of Greenville, Ga., died Thursday, April 6, 2000 at his home.
?Mr. Burlew was born March 28, 1900 in Salem, New Jersey, son of the late Roy and Mary Louise Dare Burlew. He had lived at Greenville since 1981 and was retired from Owens-Illinois Company.
?Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Iris D'Agestino of Kady, Texas, Mrs. Dinae Smith of Dover, Delaware, and Mrs. Mary Puckett of Greenville; four sons, Roy Burlew of Greenville, Ervin R. Burlew Jr. of Hampton, Jack Burlew of Pillsgrove, New Jersey, and Jesse Burlew of Millville, New Jersey; a half-brother, Roy Burlew of Midlothian, Virginia; 26 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
?The family was receiving friends Sunday morning at the funeral home and plans a private burial service later.
