He was the son of Mrs. Annie Pearl Cook of Newnan.

Mr. Frank Frazier of Newnan died April 8, 2000 at Starcrest of Newnan.

Mr. Frazier was born August 4, 1907 in Coweta County. A member of Newnan Chapel United Methodist Church, he was a World War II veteran and was emloyed as a cab driver for about 48 years.
Surviving are his son, Flemming Mathis; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; nieces, Mrs. Myrtice C. Arnold and Mrs. Rosa Mae Houzah; ten great nieces; seven great nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be Wednesday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at Newnan Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hulon Kemp officiating, assisted by other ministers. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church cemetery. Family friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Ernest Russell Willeford
Mr. Ernest Russell Willeford, 88, died April 6, 2000.
He was born October 31, 1911 and grew up in Verona, Kentucky where he lived until he graduated high school. During the 1930s he owned a gravel hauling business and he and his crew worked in Mississippi helping build highways. During World War II he worked at Brookley Field, Mobile, Alabama, making airplane parts. After WWII he moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he worked for C&S Airlines. After the merger of C&S Airlines and Delta Air Lines, he was transferred to Atlanta and lived in East Point, Ga. for 30 years where he was a member of East Point Presbyterian Church. After his retirement from Delta Airlines, he moved to Sharpsburg, Ga. where he lived for 16 years and was a member of Newnan Presbyterian Church. Also, during his retirement, he spent the winter months traveling and living the last 19 winters in Good Life Resort in Mesa, Arizona.
He is survivied by his wife of 46 years, Desima Dean (nee Muir) Willeford; a daughter, Ann Willeford of Duluth, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Ellouise Willeford of Florence, Kentucky; two grand-nieces; 1 grand-nephew; 2 great-grand-nieces and 2 great-grand nephews, all of the Bloomington, Indiana area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Patti (nee Brown) Willeford; his brother, Orville L. Willeford; his niece, Bonita (nee Willeford) Prince.
A funeral was 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at Carmichael Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Ga. with the Rev. Meg Jackson-Clark officiating. Burial was 11 a.m. Monday at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi.

Mrs. Jessie Mae Hand, 74, of Hogansville, Ga., died Wednesday, April 12, 2000 at Georgia Baptist Meriwether Hospital in Warm Springs.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 14 a Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville. The Rev. Wesley Boatman will officiate and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Mrs. Hand was born August 15, 1925 in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Jesse and Ozell Breed Davis. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and was a retired nurse's aid.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Patrice Hand of Hogansville; two step-sons, Joe Lyons of Valley, Ala. and Bob Lyons of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Amy Hand and Amanda Hand, both of Blacksburg, S.C., William Hand and Andrea Hand, both of Franklin, and Kasey Hand of LaGrange. She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Hand.

Mr. Holland was born August 30, 1929 in High Point, North Carolina. He was retired from Hamilton Arnall Insurance Agency in Newnan after 40 years of service. He was a graduate of Newnan High School, Class of 1946; and of the University of Georgia, Class of 1950.

Mrs. Mary Miller Roughton, 74, of Hogansville., died Friday, April 14, 2000, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Mrs. Roughton was born November 29, 1925, in Geneva County, Ala., to the late Amos and Mary Ester Woodham Miller. She lived in Hogansville for the past 12 years, and was a member of the Hogansville Senior Center and the Calvary Assembly of God in Columbus.
A funeral will be held today, April 16, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Danny Wilson will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. today.

Mrs. Elder was born Feb. 10, 1916, in Coweta County. She attended Coweta County schools, and was a retired dietitian for the Newnan Public School System. She was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school, and served on the Missionary Board and the Usher Board.
A funeral will be held Monday, April 17, 2000, at 1 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. Willie J. Johnson will preside, and Bishop Wilford Durrah, Jr., will give the eulogy. Mrs. Nancy Merrell Ward, 68, of Newnan, died Thursday, April 13, 2000, at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Ward was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Coweta County to Milus and Hattie Wilkerson. She attended Coweta County schools, and was a member of Newnan Chapter 483, Order of the Eastern Star, where she had recently received her lifetime membership pin. Mrs. Ward was a joyous, laughter-filled person who brought sunshine wherever she went. She was a member of the Greater Mt. Zion AME Church, where she sang in the Gospel Choir, served on the Women's Missionary Society, and the Hospitality Committee, Stewardess Board number 2. She was also involved in the Newnan Senior Citizen's Center, the Rainbow Social and Civic Club, and the Annie B. Gibbons Assembly. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Ward.
A funeral will be held Monday, April 17, 2000, at 2 p.m. at the Greater Mt. Zion AME Church. The Rev. James A. Alexander will officiate, assisted by the Revs. Cornelius Scott, W.J. Johnson, and Newt Oliphant. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Mr. George Eugene "Pete" Harmon died Saturday, April 15, 2000 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Ga.
A funeral was Tuesday, April 18 at 1:30 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. W. L. Geter, pastor, officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Samuel Harmon Jr., Willie Calvin Sutton Sr., Willie Calvin Sutton Jr., Harold Burks, Alga Meriwether and Theodore Meriwether.
Mr. Harmon was born May 27, 1936 in Coweta County to the late Mr. Hewlette and Mrs. Eddie B. (Bowens) Harmon. He joined Shady Grove Baptist Chruch at an early age. He served in the U. S. Army from 1953 to 1956. He married the late Mrs. Betty (Johnson) Harmon Feb. 2, 1927 and she preceded him in death August 14, 1987.
Surviving are sons, Mr. and Mrs. Michael (Connie) Harmon, Quinton Harmon; daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton (Bernice) Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin (Celeste) Ogletree; brothers, Samuel James Harmon Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Edna) Harmon Sr.; sister, Mrs. Billie Ann Hampton; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mary Woodard Harmon, Mrs. Elizabeth Hutchenson; brothers-in-law, Bobby Johnson, Thomas Johnson; six grandchildren, Tabitha Hall, Kina Harmon, Kristy Hall, Ebony Ogletree, Jamal Ogletree and Michelle Harmon; two great-grandchildren, Tamelia Hall and Brianna Hill, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pauline E. Harvey of Senoia died Sunday, April 16, 2000.
As an executive secretary for Hilton Hotels, she was awarded Secretary of the Year and the Flying Orchid Award from Delta Airlines.
Surviving are her son, Thomas A. Gray of Senoia; sister, Maydell Everheart of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother, William C. Brumbeloe of Wildwood, Florida; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at graveside 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20 at Crest Lawn. The Rev. Henry Hulgan will officiate. Family members and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m.

Ms. Elizabeth Ann Pennell, 47, of Boone Road, Newnan, died April 17, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.
Ms. Pennell was self-employed and was a member of Elim Baptist Church. She was born November 8, 1952 in Alma, Georgia to John Pennell and Helen Thomas Pennell.
A funeral will be Thursday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at Hillcrest Chapel funeral Home in Newnan. The Rev. Ford Ash will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Velma Taylor Wells
Mrs. Velma Taylor Wells of College Park died Monday, April 17, 2000 at South Fulton Medical Center.
A native of Coweta County, Mrs. Wells was born May 25, 1910, the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Velma Love Taylor. She was the widow of the late Clinton Atkinson Wells. A graduate of Agnes Scott College in 1932, Mrs. Wells was a career educator, retiring in 1975, having taught seventh grade at the North Avenue School in Hapeville, and was assistant principal at the time of her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Pullen of Rome; a sister, Louise T. Downs of Sharpsburg; a grandson, James Ellis of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews including Ted Taylor of Peachtree City.
A funeral will be Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at 2 p.m. at graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Ollie S. Calhoun, 67, of Martin Mill Road, Newnan, died April 18, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Calhoun was born August 30, 1932 in Carroll County, daughter of Hugh and Sally Buchanan. She was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Calhoun was known as the First Lady of Calvary Baptist Church.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 21 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Calhoun officiating, assisted by the Rev. Bryan Calhoun, the Rev. Melvin Payne and the Rev. Henry Calhoun. Pallbearers will be Anthony Beckom, Scott Fitzpatrick, Tommy Dunn, Milton Norton, Brad Garrett and Jeff Norton.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Mrs. Rosavelt J. Delaney of Luthersville, formerly of Palmetto, Georgia, died Sunday, April 16, 2000 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Ga.
A funeral will be Thursday, April 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church on Todd Road in Greenville, Ga., with the Rev. A. C. O'Neal officiating, assisted by the pastor, the Rev. E. J. O'Neal, the Rev. Marguerite Brittian, the Rev. W. R. Starks and the Rev. Wendell Dowdell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Mrs. DeLaney, the fourth child of six children, was born in Meriwether County, Ga. to the late George and Janie Jackson on March 28, 1904.
At an early age she joined the Macedonia Baptist Church. Later in life she moved her church membership to Ramah Baptist Church, Palmetto, Ga. where she served in many capacities; and from there to Fellowship Baptist Church where she was a member of the mother board and Senior Choir until her health began to fail.
She received her educational training from the Meriwether County Public Schools. She was a very good homemaker where she enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Melissa Parks and the Rev. Marguerite Brittian, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mable Trammell; two sons, Robert Delaney and James Delaney; grandsons, Clarence Trammell Jr. and Kenneth Brittian; seven granddaughters, the Rev. and Mrs. Wendell Dowdell (Doris), the Rev. and Mrs. Isaac Sumulin (Mary), the Rev. and Evangelist Kenneth Johnson (Melissa), Ms. Serita Brittian, Ms. Sherri Brittian, Ms. Marnita Delaney and Ms. Sophia Delaney; one granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. Angela Parks; sister, Mrs. Zora Lambert; 15 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Nicholas C. Reduto, 79, of Peachtree City, Ga. died April 19, 2000.
Mr. Reduto was born May 8, 1920. Formerly of Inman/Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was vice-president of Butte Knit Manufacturing Company. In addition to his family his hobbies included his two pet dogs.
A memorial service will be held at Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home chapel in Peachtree City Tuesday, April 25 at 7 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. David Scott Thompson of Ft. Pierce, Florida. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. A private family burial will be held later.

Mr. Mance Thomas Reese Sr., 76, of Newnan died Thursday morning, April 20 at Dogwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fairburn, Ga. after an extended illness.
Better known as "Tommy" to his friends, Mr. Reese was a retired finishing carpenter and long-time resident of Newnan. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving at the "Battle of the Bulge" in the European Theatre. Mr. Reese is predeceased by his wife of 36 years, Mrs. Annie Myrle Reese.
He is survived by sons, Mance T. Reese Jr. of Griffin, Ga. and Ronald D. Reese of Fayetteville, Ga.; daughters, Mrs. Sharon Deaton of Hampton, Ga. and Mrs. Mary McWaters of Okeechobee, Florida; step-daughters, Mrs. Merlene Cook of Calhoun, Ga. and Mrs. Patricia Parker of Madison, Ga.; step-son, James Thomas of Conyers, Ga.; brothers, R. Mr. V. R. Stephens, 79, of Hogansville, Ga., died Wednesday, April 19, 2000 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 21 at First Baptist Church of Hogansville. The Rev. Bobby Boswell, the Rev. Harold Willis and the Rev. Bill Deakins will officiate and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Mr. Stephens was born June 5, 1920 in Carroll County, son of the late Mirrie Neal Stephens and the late Sarah Henrietta Williams Stephens. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, was a graduate of the University of Georgia, and was a vocational agriculture teacher. He began his teaching career in Heard County and retired from Hogansville High School in 1977. He was a member of the National Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association, a past vice-president of the Georgia Vocational Agriculture Teachers Association, and a past president of the Hogansville Education Association.
Mr. Stephens was a longtime deacon and Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church of Hogansville, was a member and past president of the LaGrange Camp of Gideons International, and helped establish the Heard County Camp of Gideons. He was a former member of the Troup County Board of Assessors, the Troup County Planning Commission, and the Hogansville Planning Commission, and was a past president of the Hogansville Kiwanis Club.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Adams Stephens of Hogansville; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Dena Stephens of Mountville; four sisters, Mrs. Margie Shelnutt of Athens, Mrs. Earline Sorrells of Cedartown, Mrs. Dondra Keheley of Lakemount, and Mrs. Wanda Hall of Runaway Bay, Texas; four brothers, Hollis Stephens of Burke, Virginia, Hiram Stephens of Roanoke, Alabama; Huell Stephens of Hogansville and Leland Stephens of McDonough; three grandsons and their wives, Brad and Sandra Stephens of Hogansville, Shane and Tisha Stephens and Ryan Stephens, all of Jakcson; and a great-grandson, Aaron Stephens.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Stephens.
