Ms. Conrad was born Jan. 16, 1917.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Roscoe Road in Newnan with the Rev. Russell Kendrick officiating.
According to the deceased's wishes, her remains were donated to the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.

Mrs. Dianne M. Harrington, 41, of Eastman, Ga. died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
A native of Appling County, she had lived in Eastman for the past 10 years. She was a Quality Assurance R.N. and Administrator for Pine Care Management Inc. She was a member of Eastman First Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Eastman First Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband, E. M. "Gil" Harrington III; parents, Brookie and Fern Mayers of Baxley, Ga.; sisters, Linda and James Cox of Fayetteville, Ga. and Becky and Dan Maloy of Dallas, Ga.

Mr. Robert Michael Weir, 61, of Sharpsburg, died Monday, May 29, 2000 at Newnan Hospital after a sudden illness.
Mr. Weir moved to Sharpsburg last year from Cumming, Georgia where he lived after retiring as a Stationary Engineer for the New York Board of Education. A self-taught historian, Mr. Weir was known for his tremendous sense of humor and his voracious quest for life.
Mr. Weir is survived by Mrs. Brenda Weir of Newnan, Ga.; son, Mr. James Michael Weir of Brooklyn, New York; daughters, Miss Regina Marie Weir of Brooklyn, New York and Mrs. Karen and Larry Turley of Newnan; grandson, Master Luke Robert Turley; granddaughter, Miss Savanna Kathryn Turley; a niece and two nephews.
The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home in Newnan Thursday, June 1 from 7-9 p.m., during which time Pastor Randy Gravitt will officiate a Celebration of Life service. The Funeral Mass will be at Jones Funeral Home chapel Friday, June 2 at 10 a.m. with Father Leo Herbert officiating.

Mrs. Wilma T. Parks Patterson, 71, of Luthersville, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Patterson was born March 12, 1929, in Meriwether County. She received a B.S. degree at Fort Valley State College and did further studies at Atlanta University and LaGrange College. Mrs. Patterson retired in 1990 from the Meriwether County Board of Education after 44 and a half years of service. She was a member of the New Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Luthersville, where she sang in Choir No. 1 and was church secretary.
A funeral will be held today, June 4, 2000, at 1 p.m. at New Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Grady Lawrence will officiate, assisted by the Revs. Arthur Birts and L.C. Godfrey. Burial will be in the church Cemetery, and her nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Jack Bennett Gordy, 76, of Cartersville, died Friday, June 2, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Gordy was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Alvaton to the late William T. B and Annie Jones Gordy. Mr. Gordy, a veteran of World War II, was retired from Lockheed. He was a member of the Cartersville Church of Christ, Carl Boyd Post 42 of the American Legion, Buddy Hill Post 6124 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he served as commander from 1974 to 1976, the I.M.A.W., and the National Rifle Association, and was an honorary member of the Georgia Sheriffs Association. Gordy was missing in action and a prisoner of war in the European Theater in WWII, where he served in the Army Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nona McLendon Gordy; daughters Patricia Anne and Elizabeth "Libby" Elaine Gordy; brothers, W.J. "Bill" Gordy and D.X. Gordy; and sister Sarah Gordy Moore.
A funeral will be held Monday, June 5, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville. Mr. Bobby Gayton and Mr. Ralph Wallin will officiate, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan. Mr. Stonaker was an avid fisherman who filled his retirement days with fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He retired from Cagle Foods after 17 years, and was a deacon of Miracle Way Baptist Church for six years.

Mr. Allison was born April 26, 1918 in Summerville, Ga., son of John Allison and the former Julia Jones. He was retired from the United States Army after two terms in Korea. He also worked as a Heating and Air Conditioning Installation instructor. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was born November 14, 1916 in Cherokee County, Alabama. He was employed by McKoon Funeral Home for many years and also worked as a carpenter and a merchant. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Estelle Little Ashley.

Navy and the U. S. Marine Corps, and attended Inverness, Florida, Church of God.

Mrs. Catherine McGee Morrow Buchanan, 94, died May 23, 2000.
Mrs. Buchanan was born and raised in Coweta County. After marrying Glenn M. Morrow, who died in 1971, the young couple moved from Newnan to Atlanta. Later, she spent many years in Rome, Ga. where she and her second husband, George W. Buchanan (deceased) were employed at Battey General Hospital. After returning to the Atlanta area, she lived in Smyrna, Ga. She retired from Crawford W. Long Hospital where her work in the sick babies and children's ward was dear to her heart. Called "Bucky" by all, she was often the first person a sick child called for.
She is also predeceased by her parents, W. K. McGee and Amanda McGee Jones; her five siblings; and her eldest grandchild, H. D. Phillips Jr.
Surviving are three daughters, Frances Morrow Phillips of Smyrna, Ann Morrow Latham of Powder Springs, and Joyce Morrow Pair of Atlanta; seven grandchildren, Elaine Phillips Lee, Judy Lively Worsham, David Lively, Brenda McCray Davenport, Pamela McCray, Lisa McCray Howton and Vicki Pair Eubanks; sixteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kate Buchanan DeLoach.
Her remains have been interred in the historic Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Sharspburg, the home church of the McGee family.
A memorial service will be dedicated to Mrs. Buchanan at Cokes Chapel at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 11. Cokes Chapel is located at 4096 Lower Fayetteville Road, Sharpsburg, Ga. 30277. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Cokes Chapel Cemetery Fund.

Surviving are sons, Dirk Haldy of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Paul J. Haldy of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Laurie Shcick of Ft. Worth, Texas; sister, Virginia Lee Hartmann of Cinni, Ohio; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Emma Louise Hurston Jones
Mrs. Emma Louise Hurston Jones, "Ms. Emma," 84, died Tuesday, June 6, 2000 at Vacaville Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Vacaville California.
Mrs. Jones was born October 30, 1915 in Carroll County, Georgia, the sixth child of the late Thomas Jefferson and Ada Belle Bentley Hurston.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Muller Lee Jones Jr. and sisters Clelon Broadwater, Ara Cottle Baird, Minola Hurston and brothers Ralph Hurston and Loyd Hurston.
Mrs. Jones, affectionately known as "Ms. Emma," was a devoted wife and mother. Her sense of humor, her southern cooking and her devotion to family made her a treasure.
A funeral and celebration of life will be held in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home Monday, June 12, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tony Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road, Newnan.
Family visitation is Sunday, June 11, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.
Surviving are daughters Rosa Maureen (Edward) Vande Hei of Vacaville California, Donna Lee (Barry) Norris of Salem, Oregon and Marcia Kathleen Jones of Vacaville, California; grandchildren Tracye Louise Johnson of Suisun City, California, Scott Allen Johnson of Fort Myers, Florida, Bryan Frank (Daradee) Norris of Phoenix, Arizona, Bret Lee (Charlotte) Norris of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren Michelle Lauren Johnson and Tara Nicole Johnson of Suisun City, California; sister Elgie Dee Bottoms of Newnan.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Dr. V. Wayne Kimble, 60, of McLean, Virginia, died Friday, June 2, 2000 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Dr. Kimble was born February 23, 1940 in Newnan, Ga. He was a veterinarian and was a veteran of the United States armed forces.
A funeral was Friday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Holdredge officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road.
Surviving are son, Bryan Kimble of Annandale, Virginia; daughter, Letitia Smith of Anderson, California; grandchildren, Brandon Smith and Jacob Smith, both of Anderson, California.

Mr. Bennie Frank Ransby, 73, of Newnan died June 7, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mr. Ransby was born August 24, 1926 in Heard County.
A memorial service will be Saturday, June 10 at the chapel of Roscoe Jenkins Funeral Home in Newnan with Pastor Darry Felix officiating.
Surviving are wife, Rosa Lee Ransby; four sons, Willie Frank Walker (Florence), Bobby Lee (Mary), Olin Walker all of Newnan, Willis Walker (Jennie) of Carrollton; daughters, Mae Belle Taggart (Bennie) of Newnan and Mary Ferguson (Robert) of Dayton, Ohio; three brothers, Robert Ransby, Daniel Ransby and John Robinson Jr. of Newnan; two sisters, Idella Ransby-Huggins of Dayton and Ollie Harris of Roswell, Ga.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
