Mrs. Myrtle Elizabeth Jones, 70, of Grantville, Ga., died Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at an Allen Road address.
Mrs. Jones was born February 14, 1930, in Moreland, Ga. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dock Jones, and two sons, Pat Jones and Tim Jones.
The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home Thursday, June 22 from 6-9 p.m. and on Friday, June 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral will be at Gordon Road Church of Christ Friday, June 23, at 4 p.m. Mansel Carpenter will officiate. Burial will be at Pitts Cemetery on Gordon Road.

Mrs. Pauline Yarbrough Nichols, 85, of Covington, Ga., formerly of Heard County, died Monday, June 19, 2000 at Newton County Hospital in Covington, Ga. after several years of declining health.
Mrs. Nichols was born Nov. 3, 1914 in Randolph County, Alabama, to the late Charlie Peter Monroe Yarbrough and Gillie Martha Edmondson Yarbrough. She was preceded in death by her husband Looney Glover Nichols. She was a housewife, and retired seamstress from the Toddle Tyke Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church.
A funeral was Wednesday, June 21, at 2 p.m. from the Ephesus Baptist Church with the Reverends Fred Cook and Doris Williamson officiating. Paula Haggard, granddaughter of Mrs. Nichols, offered a tribute to her grandmother, and Kay Piper offered music. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Anthony Nichols, Shane Nichols, Ben Bramlett, Randy Yarbrough, Paul Nichols and Sean Yarbrough.

Mr. Davis was born May 18, 1897 in Carroll County to Ben Davis and Exie Horsley Davis. He was a retired farmer.

Mr. Henry L. "Hank" Horton, 40, of Newnan, died June 21, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mr. Horton was born October 9, 1959 in Coweta County. A 1977 graduate of Newnan High School, he entered the U.S. Army in 1979 where he served until he became disabled.

Mrs. Daniel was born Nov. 23, 1932 in Lee County, Ala., to the late James and Rosa Prophitt. She lived in Troup County most of her life, and was a Baptist.
A funeral will be held Monday, June 26, 2000, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Mrs. Sallie S. Hill, 94, of Newnan, died Wednesday, June 21, 2000, at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Hill was born Nov. 15, 1905, in Coweta County. She was a member of the Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and had served as the president. In 1996, she was honored as "The Oldest Mother in Church Today," by the Spring of Life No. 604.
A funeral will be held Monday, June 26, 2000, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. H.H. Dyer will officiate, assisted the the Revs. J.T. Coleman, R.W. Sutton, M. Brittian, Jr., and others. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery, and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Rubye Rives Baggarly, 94, of Senoia, Ga. died Monday, June 26, 2000 at Fayette Community Hospital.
Mrs. Baggarly was born December 7, 1905 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, James Harrison Baggarly, and sons Warren Ayers Baggarly and Walter Rives Baggarly.

Mr. Thomas D. Chisolm, 81, of Moreland, Ga., died Saturday, June 24, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Mr. Chisolm ws born July 6, 1918 in Kemper County, Mississippi, son of the late Johnnie and Mattie Clay Chisolm. Before making his home in Moreland in 1980, Mr. Chisolm lived in DeKalb County and was the retired owner of Chisolm Television and Stereo Service. He was a member of the Luthersille Baptist Church and was a former member of the Luthersville Lions Club.
A funeral was 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 26 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Joe Felder and the Rev. Clarence Denney officiated, and burial was in the Luthersville Cemetery.

Mr. Evans was born January 19, 1917 in Coweta County, son of the late John Vincent Evans and the late Sara Haynie Evans. An Army vetern, he was a lifelong resident of Coweta County, was a member of Moreland United Methodist Church, and was retired from William L Bonnell Company in Newnan.
A funeral was 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, at Moreland United Methodist Church. Dr. Gene Minix, the Rev. John Evans and the Rev. Richard Huycke officiated, and burial was in Southview Cemetery at Moreland.

Mr. Sims was born September 8, 1949 in Albany, Ga. He worked as business office director at Newnan Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He graduated from Georgia Southwestern in Americus, Ga. and also worked as business manager at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

Mr. James F. Hudson, 75, of Happy Hill Road, Carrollton, Ga., died Monday, June 26, 2000 at the VA Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Hudson was born in Carroll County November 11, 1924, the son of the late William Otto Hudson and Letha Lorena Harper Hudson. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army. He was a retired equipment operator and a member of Central Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Hudson, and a sister, Effie Whitten.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred Marie Hudson of Carrollton; two children, Kendall and Kathy Hudson of Augusta, Rene Hudson Davis of Atlanta; two stepchildren, John & Vanessa Miller and Eddie Miller, all of Temple; one nephew, Joel Whitten of Newnan; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Frank A. Pease Jr., 76, of Roswell, Ga., devoted husband and father, died June 25, 2000.
He was a decorated Naval Aircorp veteran of World War II and son of the late Frank A. Pease Sr. who was past National Commander of the World War I Veterans.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Hausman Pease and four children, Larry F. Pease and James R. Pease, daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and John Tucker of Newnan and Susan and Van Westmoreland of Sandy Springs; six grandchildren; mother-in-law, Penny Hausman of Buckhead and brother-in-law Dick Hausman.

Mrs. Eloise C. Thompson, 80, of Newnan, Ga., died Saturday at Starcrest of Newnan nursing home.
Mrs. Thompson taught for 41 years at numerous schools in Georgia, including Jarrell, Cane Creek, Woodbury and East Newnan Elementary. She earned a B.S. Degree in elementary education from Fort Valley State College and a Master's Degree from West Georgia College. She was an active member of Newnan Chapel United Methodist Chruch and a member of various organizations such as the Retired Teachers Association, the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Club Inc. and the Smooth Ashlar Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star in Newnan.
Surviving are son, Tommy L. Thompson of Richmond, Va.; loving and devoted niece, Mr. and Mrs. Ricardo (Ella Lou) Cowan, College Park, Ga.; brother, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie B. Mr. Arnold was born August 30, 1964 in Atlanta, Ga. A graduate of Lakeshore High School in College Park, he played football, ran track and became a great skater. He was a member of the Executive Club and was an in-home barber. He was also employed by Orkin Exterminating Company.

Mr. J. Littleton Glover Sr., 89, of Woodbine Circle, Newnan, Ga., died Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at his residence.
Mr. Glover was born April 6, 1911 at 45 College Street, Newnan, to Fannie Virginia Jones Glover and Howard Clarke Glover. A partner in the law firm of Glover and Davis in Newnan, he began his law practice in Newnan in June 1935 after graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law. Mr. Glover's counsel included both business and legal matters. He served as president of the local county and circuit Bar associations and was also a member of the Board of Governors of the Georgia Bar Association, later the State Bar of Georgia.
He served as director of various businesses including Newnan Cotton Mills, Manufacturer's National Bank of Newnan (later First National Bank in Newnan), Newnan Federal Savings and Loan Association (later First Citizens Bank), Batson-Cook Company, West Point Foundry and Machine Company, The Piedmont Hotel Company, Parrott Properties Inc. and Newnan Industries Inc. He served as chairman of the Boards of Manufacturer's National Bank, Newnan Federal Savings and Loan and Newnan Industries.
Active in the community, he served on the Newnan Water and Light Commission, the governing board of what is now Newnan Utilities, during the 1970s and '80s when the utility capacities of the system were greatly expanded in order to provide for the future growth of the community. He was active in a number of civic clubs, serving as president of Newnan Rotary Club, Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, Newnan Country Club, Newnan-Coweta United Way and the Newnan Chapter of the American Red Cross.
He served for many years on the Newnan Board of Education and was instrumental in the development and construction of the present Newnan High School campus on LaGrange Street.
He was a life-long member of Central Baptist Church and was a trustee for many years. For 65 years he served as General Counsel to what is now the Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries Inc., also serving as a trustee and member of the executive committee from time to time.
Because of his love and devotion to the work of the Children's Home, its staff and most of all to the children that it served, the family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to The Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries Inc., P.O. The family will receive friends Saturday morning, July 1, at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan between 9:15 and 10:30 a.m.
A funeral will be at Central Baptist Church of Newnan Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ken Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.
Pallbearers will be Randy E. Connell, Jerry Ann Conner, Peter A. Durham, W. Robert Hancock, Alan W. Jackson and A. Mitchell Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Glover & Davis.

Mrs. Virginia E. Sanders
Mrs. Virginia E. Sanders, 72, of Franklin, Ga. and formerly of Mystic, Ga. died at Specialty Select Hospital in Atlanta Tuesday evening, June 27, 2000.
Mrs. Sanders, who retired from General Electric as an executive secretary, was a graduate of Georgia State University. Mrs. Sanders was a member of Mystic Baptist Church in Mystic, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Sanders, eight brothers and one sister.
Surviving are her son, Mack Callaway of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughter, Carolyn Maggard of Franklin; sister, Martha Pat Hodges of Lawrenceville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home in Newnan Friday, June 30 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Jones Funeral Home, with Dr. Bob Daugherty officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Otis Williamson
Mr. Otis Williamson, 90, of Hogansville, died Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at his home.
A funeral will be conducted 4 p.m. Friday, June 30 in the Chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Jimmy Brown will officiate and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.
Pallbearers will be Bubba Pittman, Kenny Phillips, Buster Cook, Jimmy Williamson, Joe Evans and Eddie Williamson.
Mr. Williamson was born August 24, 1909, in Heard County, son of the late Will and Dovie Harrison Williamson. He had lived in Hogansville since 1957 and was retired as office manager for Williamson Pulpwood and Timber Company. He was a member of Bland Memorial Baptist Church in Stewart County, where he had served as deacon.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lois Bradshaw Williamson of Hogansville; daughters, Mrs. Martha Keel and Mrs. Peggy Toney, both of LaGrange; sons, Danny Williamson of San Diego, California and David Williamson of Hogansville; sister, Mrs. Annie Ruth Tucker of Hogansville; brother, the Rev. Johnny Williamson, of Hogansville; special friends, Mrs. Novelle Gray and Bubba and Carol Pittman, all of Hogansville; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
