Mrs. Baldwin was born January 25, 1937 in Scottdale, Ga. She was a homemaker.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 2 from 8-4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan.

Mr. Michael Thomas Cook
Mr. Michael Thomas Cook, 40, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Newnan, died at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma June 29, 2000.
Mr. Cook was a 1977 graduate of Newnan High School, where he was a member of the Newnan High School Marching Band, in which he played the bass drum and lettered all four years. While in high school, Mr. Cook was president of the Library Club and was recognized by Who's Who in American High Schools in 1975 and 1976. Following high school, Mr. Cook attended West Georgia College and Clayton State College. He was employed in the construction industry as a scaffolding specialist, and was a member of the Newnan Optimist Club for many years.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his father, Sam C. Cook Jr., who died in 1987.
Surviving are his mother, Shirley H. Cook and brothers Sam C. Cook III and Robert E. Cook, all of Newnan, Ga.
The family will receive friends Sunday, July 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home on Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard in Newnan.

Mrs. Tennie Almon Williams, 85, of Hogansville, died Friday, June 30, 2000, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.
Mr. Williams was born Dec. 26, 1914, in Heard County to the late Luke and Emma Stephens Almon. She had lived in Hogansville since 1945 and was a member of Highland Baptist Church. She was retired from Uniroyal Inc. and Bailey's Florists in Hogansville. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alice Rebecca Williams.
A funeral will be held today, July 2, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Dr. Jimmy Brown will officiate, and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. Mrs. Ida Mae Stanley Dees died Sunday, July 2, 2000 at her residence.
A funeral will be Friday, July 7, at Clark Chapel United Methodist Church in Luthersville, Ga. at 3 p.m. with pastor, the Rev. J. C. Neal officiating and the Rev. James Stanley as eulogist. Burial will be in the Rocky Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Luthersille. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters as flower bearers.
Mrs. Dees was born to the late Monroe and Ella Bradley Stanley of Mexia, Alabama. She was married to the late Charles Dees Sr. As a young girl, she accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal savior and realized that she had "a charge to keep and a God to glorify." Her humbleness, warm smile and dedication to hospitality and ministry produced what many term as "a woman of excellence."
Mrs. Dees was educated in the Monroe County, Alabama School System. Her joy and excitement was centered around agriculture and domestic activities. She loved plants and flowers and could write the definition of the word "green thumb." This virtuous woman enjoyed providing dedicated service to her family and community. For numerous years she served as church clerk and Sunday School superintendent for the Pilgrim Baptist Church, Pensacola, Florida. She embraced the words "I won't complain."

Mr. Rufus Vester Dick, 83, of Franklin, Ga., died July 3, 2000 at Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Ga.
Mr. Dick was born in Kentucky January 19, 1917 to the late Joshua Green Dick, and Gladys Spaw Dick. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Agnes Dick. He was an elder in the Franklin Kingdom Hall Church, and a farmer by trade. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army.
A memorial services was held for Mr. Dick Wednesday, July 5 at 7 p.m. at Franklin Kingdom Hall with Mr. Bryan Light offering the message.

Throughout his life in Newnan, Mr. Drake was known as an aggressive learner, an artistic creator and a kind and courteous person. He was chosen as the "Most Likely To Succeed" of his high school senior class.
Mr. Drake was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mr. W. D. Pearson of Newnan and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan (Iula) Drake of Sharpsburg.

Mr. Hill, the oldest of 12 children, was born November 30, 1908, to the late Flora Dennis-Hill and the late Lewis Hill. In 1930 he married the late Hattie Hood-Hill. They had 15 children, nine of whom are still living. He was a family business owner and shared his many talents with family and friends.

Mr. Lee Norris "Nemo" Henderson of West Washington Street, Newnan, will be remembered at a funeral Sunday, July 9, 2000 at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 572 Old Carrollton Road, Sargent.
The Rev. John Farmer, pastor, will officiate, along with the Rev. Willie L. Geter as eulogist. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The remains will lie in state from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Visitation this weekend is at Andrews Mortuary, 704 U.S. Highway 29 North, Newnan.

Mr. Henry L. McCright Sr., 87, of Snellville, Ga., died July 6, 2000.
Mr. McCright was employed with J. A. Jones Construction for more than 35 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church and was formerly a member of Decatur Presbyterian Church.
A funeral will be Saturday, July 8, at 2 p.m. at Wages Snellville Chapel with the Rev. Will Dietrich and Dr. Richard H. Jones officiating.
Burial will be in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Stephanie Allese Hill, 42, of Newnan, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mrs. Hill was the daughter of Milton and Lucy Hill. She graduated from Newnan High School, and worked in the family business as a seamstress.
A memorial service will be held Monday, July 10, 2000, at 6 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. Mr. Vincent Beetles will officiate.

Mrs. Myrtice R. Mims, 91, of Newnan, died Friday, July 7, 2000, at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Mims was born April 22, 1909, in Dooly County, Ga., to the late Charlie and Anna Estelle Sullivan Register. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Franklin, and was a homemaker.
A grave-side service will be held today, July 9, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Sunny Side Cemetery in Cordele. The Rev. George Nelson will officiate.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Young and her husband John of Newnan; grandsons, Luther T. Stephens and his wife Chris of Gautier, Miss., and John William Hessler and his wife Kelly of Utica, Mich.; great-granddaughters Natasha Marie Stephens of Gautier and Hannah Marie Hessler of Utica; brother, Julius E. Mr. Joseph "Ronnie" Watkins, Sr.
Mr. Joseph R. "Ronnie" Watkins, Sr., 68, of Newnan died Wednesday, July 5, 2000.
Mr. Watkins was born Feb. 17, 1932, in Boston, Mass. He retired from the United States Army with 30 plus years of service as a military police officer, and also served on the The City of Atlanta Police Department and the Fulton County Sheriff's Department. A member of Capitol View Masonic Lodge 640 F&AM, he was also a member of the Yaarab Temple and Scottish Rite.
A funeral will be held Monday, July 10, 2000, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperly Funeral Home in Peachtree City. Pastor Ferrell Dowdey will officiate, and burial will be in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Miriam June Mixon (Kim) Ambrose, 60, of Hogansville, Ga., died Sunday, July 9, 2000 at Hospice LaGrange.
A funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 13 at Sanders United Methodist Church in Calvin, Louisiana. The Rev. Glenn Daniel will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Ambrose was born June 6, 1940 in Newellton, Louisiana, daughter of the late Russell Carson Mixon and the late Edith Ann Liggett Mixon. She was a member of the Church of God and had lived in Hogansville for the past 15 years. She was employed as a sales assistant and marketing director for Wachovia Interstate/Johnson-Lane Investment Company in LaGrange.
Surviving are her husband, Ben T. Ambrose Jr. of Hogansville; daughter, Mrs. Corinn Higgins of Diamond Head, Miss.; son, Benjamin Thomas Ambrose III of Cordele; sister, Mrs. Teresa Shumake of Winnfield, La.; five brothers, Mickey Mixon of Picayune, Miss., Russell Mixon and Robert Mixon, both of Lake Charles, La., John L. Mixon of Winnfield, La., and Robert Rovira of Angie, La.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
