Mrs. Lavonia Cranford Gibson, 80, of Cherokee Street, Newnan, died Thursday, December 21, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.
Mrs. Gibson was born April 16, 1920 in Coweta County, daughter of the late Clifford Alfred Cranford and Emily Power Cranford. A legal secretary, she retired from the Coweta County Solicitor's Office in 1990.
The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan today, Dec. 23 from 10 - 11 a.m.
A funeral will be held at McKoon Funeral Home chapel at 11 a.m. today. Dr. Joel E. Richardson will officiate.
Surviving are her son, Ronald Allen Gibson, Rome, Ga.; nephews, Dr. Clifford A. Cranford Jr., John Herbert Cranford, both of Newnan; niece, Candace C. Hancock of Newnan; three grandchildren and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Virginia Ann Helin, 77, of Willowbrook Drive, Douglasville died Thursday, December 21, 2000 at Starcrest of Newnan.
Mrs. Helin was born April 26, 1923 in Newnan. She was a bookkeeper.
A funeral was held December 22 at McKoon Funeral Home with Father Leo Herbert officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Robert M. Key, 71, of Grantville died Thursday, December 21, 2000 at his home.
Mr. Key was born June 15, 1929 in Randolph County, Alabama, son of the late Irving and Zady Lipham Key. A former resident of Columbus and Atlanta, he had lived in Grantville since 1977.
Mr. Key was a member of Midland Masonic Lodge in Columbus. He was a retired commercial and industrial painting contractor.
A funeral will be held today, December 23, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Herschel Phillips will officiate, and interment will be in Grantville Cemetery.
Members of Midland Masonic Lodge will serve as pallbearers and will provide Masonic graveside rites.

Born on Jan. 17, 1926 in Coweta County, Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Newnan High School and LaGrange College.

Mr. James F. "Jimmy" Jordan, 73, of Newnan, died Saturday, Dec. 23, at his home.
Mr. Jordan was born in DeKalb County, son of Rosser Frank Jordan Sr. and Myrtle Brown Jordan. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Georgia Power as senior operating procedures specialist. In retirement, he pursued his hobbies of book collecting and building replicas of vintage World War I and II airplanes.
A funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Powers will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday between 6-9 p.m.

Mrs. Jeanelle Lockridge
Mrs. Jeanelle Lockridge, 81, of Sharpsburg, died Friday, Dec. 22, at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital of heart and respiratory failure.
Mrs. Lockridge was born May 26, 1919, in Paulding County. She was the first in her family to attend college. She earned her teaching degree at West Georgia College and began a 30-year teaching career in Coosa County, where she met her husband, Claude Coleman Lockridge. Mrs. Lockridge had a passion for teaching and was known for the posters and art she used as teaching tools. She taught primarily the second and fourth grades and won many awards. Mrs. Lockridge was chosen to be the first teacher to teach an integrated class in Fulton County.
Mrs. Lockridge attended the Colonial Hill Baptist Church in East Point, and attended First Baptist Church of Newnan after moving to Newnan in 1976.
A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Helms and Dr. James Stewart will officiate, and burial will be in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bernice Stone, 83, of Newnan, died Dec. 23, 2000, at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Stone was born in Heard County to Jesse and Edna Rainey Reagan. She was a member of Westview Christian Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Earl Stone.

Miss Wilson was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and a strong Christian. She was also a member of the Coweta Cannons Soccer Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Annette Boyd of LaGrange; two sons, Ronnie Wright of Conyers and Danny Wright of Newnan; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Breed and Mrs. Thelma Sparks, both of Valley, Ala.; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Mrs. Edythe Estep Harris, 97, of Newnan, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Harris was born to the late Eli Cleveland and Helen Fulcher Estep in Saba County, Texas, in 1903. Mrs. Harris had lived in Newnan for 12 years, having moved here from Lubbock, Texas. She attended Southwest Texas State and West Texas State, and was a school teacher for several years. She married John Wesley Harris in 1924, was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 60 years, and was a charter member of the 1935 Study Club.
A grave-side service will be held Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Revs. Gary Parrish and Terry Thompkins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home.

Mr. Terry L. Hendricks, 44, of Hogansville, died Tuesday, December 26, 2000 at his home.
A funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Terry McComb will officiate and burial will be in Ketchem, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. Hendricks was born August 28, 1956 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he graduated from Harrison High School in 1974, and was a member of Colorado Springs Seventh Day Adventist Church. He had lived in Hogansville for a number of years and had been employed at Yamaha Manufacturing in Newnan.
Surviving are his wife, Susie Monahan Hendricks of Hogansville; daughter, Dr. Barbara Packer of Rockmart; his parents, Bill and Arlene Hendricks of Ketchum, Oklahoma; two brothers, Bill Hendricks Jr. of Colorado Springs and Rick Hendricks of Vinita, Oklahoma; a half-brother, Michael Chadwick of Idaho.l

Mr. Jonnie Trammell Paschal
Mr. Jonnie Trammell Paschal, 83, of Newnan, Ga., formerly of Heard County, Ga., died Thursday, December 28, 2000 at Newnan Hospital after an extended illness.
Mr. Paschal was born in Heard County, Georgia November 19, 1917 to the late Heaber Cliford Paschal, and Claudia Lee Adams. He was a retired machinist for the William L Bonnell Company in Newnan. He was a faithful member of the Centralhatchee Baptist Church, and a loving husband and father. He was a member of the Sylvan Masonic Lodge.
A funeal will be Saturday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at Salem Methodist Church with the Reverends Doug Bingham, Lynn Janney and Herbert Chambers officiating. Mr. Paschal will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Paschal of Newnan; son, Gene Fletcher Paschal, also of Newnan; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kermon Denney, 71, of Franklin, Ga. died December 23, 2000 at the Newnan Hospital.
Mr. Denney was born May 26, 1929 in Randolph County, Ala., son of Ary Butler Denny Skinner and O-Lee Denney. He was a building contractor and served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Denney was a Presbyterian by faith.

Mr. Herman Eugene Gaddis, 57, of Franklin, Ga. died December 21, 2000 at the LaGrange Hospice in LaGrange, Ga.
Mr. Gaddis was born in Cobb County, Georgia, son of Paul Gaddis, Sr. and Pearl Hyde Gaddis.
Mr. Gaddis was a house-painter by trade and a Christian by faith.
Funeral services for Mr. Gaddis were Saturday, December 23, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lynn Janney officiated. The burial followed at the Mount Bethel Cemetery in Roswell, Ga.
Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Diane Roper Gaddis.

Mrs. Maymie H. Lee, 79, of Peachtree City died Friday, December, 29, 2000 at the Douglas General Hospital in Douglasville.
Mrs. Lee was born November 30, 1921 in Fulton County daughter of Warner and Kate Moore Hill. She lived in Peachtree City for 40 years and was retired from Dixie Frozen Foods. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 127 in Atlanta. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include a daughter and son in-law, Katherine and Lonnie Ivey, and a grandson, Andy Ivey all of Sharpsburg.

Mrs. Martha Jean Addison McKenzie, 54, of Newnan died Saturday, December 30, 2000 at the Emory-Peachtree Regional Hospital.
Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2000 at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Lee Coggin will officiate. The burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. W. L. Rogers, 71, of Franklin, Ga. died Monday, December 25, 2000 at the Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.
Mr. Rogers was born May 4, 1929 in Heard County, Ga., son of Olin Spears Rogers and Lillian Arrington Rogers. He was a retired machine operator for the Callaway Mills in LaGrange, Ga. He was a Christian.

Mrs. Mary Wilkerson, 86, of Hogansville died Friday, December 29, 2000 at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange.
Mrs. Wilkerson was born May 16, 1914 in Meriwether County daughter of Emmett Hope McKoon and Lula Perkins McKoon. She was a lifelong resident of the Hogansville are and was a member of Union Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday December 31 in the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Chapel. Rev. Bill Smith will officiate. The burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in the St. Marks Community of Meriwether county.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in dezath by her husband Smith Wilkerson.
Survivors include several nephews and cousins.
