Henry Davis Baker, 80, of Brunswick died Aug. 20 at his residence.
Mr. Baker was a native of Camden County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Brunswick Pulp and Paper Co. Mr. Baker was a member of Rising Daughter Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rising Daughter Baptist Church with the Revs. Rayford Blue and T.L. Benton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rising Daughter Baptist Church Yard Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be officers of the church, Andrew Heck Jr., Curtis Clinch, William Buggs Jr., Horace McGahee, Melvin Lewis and Alonzia Moses.
Mr. Baker's body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Survivors include his wife, Louise W. Baker of Brunswick; two sons, Levi Baker and Joel Baker, both of Brunswick; two daughters, Bobbie Jean Shackelford of Miami, Fla., and Geraldine Tremmell of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Ed Baker of Brunswick and Jim Baker of Waverly; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Jacobs "Dot" Morgan, 71, of Brunswick died Thursday in the Brunswick hospital of the Southeast Georgia Health System.
A native of Brantley County, she resided in Glynn County for most of her life. She was a member of the Brunswick Church of God of Prophecy and a retiree of the Brunswick hospital of the Southeast Georgia Health System, SPD department.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with the Revs. William Beasley and Andy Young officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Survivors include a son, Tyrone Morgan of Brunswick; two sisters, Janette Horton of Brunswick and Jewell Dena Davison of Milford, Del.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eldon Morgan.
Edo Miller & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Millie Branch, 79, of Darien died Sunday afternoon at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Pat McCord officiating.
Burial will follow in Upper Mill Cemetery in Darien.
The family will receive friends at Chapman Funeral Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Active pallbearers will be Harrison Branch, Gary Johnson, Calvin L. Cook Jr., Johnny Cook, Joseph Crews and Darwin LaGarce.
Mrs. Branch was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Branch and her parents, Thomas & Cora Spain.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Harrison & Dorriann Branch of Darien; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn & Calvin Cook of Darien; two sisters, Aurelia Mann & Leveta Raffaniello, both of Lynchburg, Va.; three granddaughters and a grandson-in-law, DeDe Branch of Brunswick, Laura Hawk and her husband Brandon of Saylorsburg, Pa., and Jennifer Paetzell of Allentown, Pa.; a great-grandson, Taylor Asbell of Brunswick; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A native of Lynchburg, Va., she had lived in Glynn and McIntosh counties since 1972, she was retired from C & M Home Cleaning and was a homemaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525.

Martha Claire (Jones) Davies, 78, of Bradenton, Fla., died June 15, 2006.
A native of Brunswick, Mrs. Davies had come to Manatee County from Detroit, Mich., in 1953. She was a homemaker and, along with her husband, James, owned Davies Paint and Wallpaper from 1953 to 1999. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bradenton and membership director of Manasota Diabetes Group.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Davies, to whom she was married in 1945; and her parents, Wayne and Grace Jones.
Funeral services were held June 19 with the Rev. Rick Lineburger officiating at the First Baptist Church of Bradenton.
Interment followed at Manasota Memorial Park.
Survivors include her daughters, Jayma Gallespie of Fort Myers, Fla., and Kristi Tungren of Nahunta; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of local nieces and nephews.

Hugh Mayberry

Hugh H. Mayberry, 77, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at his residence on St. Simons Island.
He was born in Peekskill, N.Y., and graduated in 1947 from Kent School, Kent, Conn., and earned a degree in business administration from William Jewel College, Liberty, Mo., in 1951. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
During a 45-year career in the paint industry, he served as president of Dixie Paint and Varnish Co. and founded Interstate Paint Corp.
A committed community servant, his involvement included service on many boards and president of the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce. One of his lifelong commitments was to the Navy League of the U.S., culminating in service as the national president. He founded the local chapter of the Sea Cadet Unit. He was a member and served as a deacon of St. Simons Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gwen Mayberry; daughters, Margaret Shedd (Peter) of Athens, Allyson Jackson (Edward) of Sandy, Utah, Mimi Mayberry-White (Tom) of Brunswick, and Joan Borick (Paul) Clemson, S.C.; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Lotta M. Hunter of East Lansing, Mich.
Memorial services will be at 11 a. m. Wednesday, July 5, 2006, in St. Simons Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Golden Isles Council of the Navy League, P.O. Box 1782, Brunswick, GA 31521 or the St. Simons Presbyterian Church.

Larry W. Jenkins, 55, of Clarkston, Mich., died Wednesday at the Brunswick hospital of the Southeast Georgia Health System.
He was retired from the U.S. Navy, having served his last duty station at Naval Submarine Base King's Bay. He was a Baptist.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Coats Funeral Home in Waterford, Mich.
Interment will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra N. Jenkins of Clarkston, Mich.; two daughters, Valerie Cyr of Jacksonville and Sandy Pete of St. Marys; four sisters, LaVerne Jewell of Madison Heights, Mich., Paulette Hughes of Brunswick, and Carol Duffie and Debbie Latham, both of Watervillette, Mich.; three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sheila Lynn Sullivan, 49, born September 3, 1955, died at her home in Brunswick.
Ms. Sullivan graduated from Savannah High School in 1973 and was crowned Miss Savannah in 1974.
She is survived by her parents, Herbert and Uleta Sullivan of Savannah; son, Matthew Jacobson of Plantation, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Leta and Carl Carter of Savannah and Paula and Gary Phillips of Summerville, S.C.; two nieces, Shelley Weinzetel of Greenville, S.C., and Christy Glenn and her husband, Lee, of Madison; nephew, Thomas Carter of Savannah; aunt, Rilla Chancey of Orlando, Fla.; and numerous cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2005, in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors in Savannah.
The family will receive friends and relatives following the service.

Sandra Lee Moore, 52, of Brunswick died Monday at the local hospital.
Mrs. Moore, a native of Sewickley, Pa., had lived in Brunswick for the past year. She was a nursing assistant.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil Moore of Brunswick.

Lucy Pearl Gault Schnorr, 77, formerly of Darien, and most recently of Pikeville, Tenn., passed away August 17, 2005, at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn.
Her parents, Orie Carithers Gault, formerly of Royston, and Clyde Thomas Gault, formerly of Darien, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Glenda Buttrick Shelton of Knoxville, Cecile Buttrick Morock of Jacksonville and Thomas Russell O'Neill of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Hugh Woodward "Rusty" Shelton III of Bradenton, Fla., and Jodi Renee Shelton-Heon and Wendy Marie Shelton, both of Knoxville; her uncle, Raymond Gault of Darien; and numerous cousins.
An oceanside, candlelight memorial service will be held at sunset August 27, 2005, on the Jekyll Island North Beach.
