Ruby Thompson Youngblood
CORDELE - Funeral service for Ruby Thompson Youngblood, 93, of Cordele will be at Chapel Of Rainey Funeral Services at 2 PM Monday, Dec. 6, 2004. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.
Mrs. Thompson died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Pinehill Nursing Home in Byromville.
Mrs. Youngblood was retired from the Cordele Uniform Company as a seamstress. She was the daughter of the late Grace Laney Thompson and Edward Thompson.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Harold and Janette Youngblood of Cordele, a brother Roy Thompson of Plains, grandson David Youngblood of McDonough and grandson and wife Keith and Angelique Youngblood, Great-grandchildren Lindsey and Allison Youngblood all of Cordele.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today.

PITTS - Graveside services for Emmie A. McGlamry, 86, of Pitts will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Pleasant View Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Brett will officiate.
Mrs. McGlamry died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Crisp Regional Hospital.
Mrs. McGlamry was born in Heard county on August 24, 1918. she had lived the greater part of her life in Wilcox County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Hunt and Martha Susan McDowell Hunt. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil “Hubert” McGlamry, and a son, Mike McGlamry.
She is survived by four sons, Robert Neal McGlamry of Vienna, Ronald E. (Nell) McGlamry of Eastman, Harry T. (Linda Sue) McGlamry of Pitts, and David H. (Jamie) McGlamry of Pitts; a daughter, Jamie (Royce) Rhodes of Pitts; a sister, Corene Davidson of Pitts; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Frazier & Sons Funeral Home.

Frank Nickolas ‘Nick’ Virga
COBB - A funeral mass for Frank Nickolas “Nick” Virga, 26, formerly of Americus was held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, in St. Theresa’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence A. Lucree officiating. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Virga died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, in the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. Born Aug. 25, 1978, in Americus, Nick was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Americus. He attended Southland Academy through the ninth grade and graduated from Americus High School in 1997. He was a student at Darton College and worked with United Parcel Service. He was a Boy Scout, played sports in high school, was an avid sportsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an animal lover.
Survivors include his mother, Janice Freeman Dowdy and her husband, Bill, of Albany; his father, Frank E. Virga of Albany; a brother, Vincent Anthony “Tony” Virga of Albany; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Virga of Birmingham, Ala.; a beloved friend and companion, Lindsay Hurndon and her daughter, Leslie; and a number of extended relatives.
A rosary prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

CORDELE - Funeral services for Ruby Thompson Youngblood were held in the chapel Of Rainey Funeral Services at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004. The Revs. Eve Tomberlin and J.T. Smith conducted the service.
Soft music was provided by Imogene Gilliam. The service was concluded with the congregation singing “Amazing Grace.”
Pallbearers were Ronnie Youngblood, Darrell Youngblood, Ranson Youngblood, Gary Youngblood, Dennis Hall and Dale Albritton.
Interment followed at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.

Lang died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004, at Crisp Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Weber died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
She was the daughter of the late Romeo Houle and the late Christine (Carrier) Houle.
She is survived by one daughter, Annie D'Amours of Mont-St-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada; a son, Stephane D'Amours of Verchere, Quebec, Canada; a step-daughter, Lori Ann Houseknecht of Charlotte, NC; three step sons, Edward Weber of Los Angeles, Ca., Charles R. Weber, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fl., and William Charles Weber of Fort Lauderdale, Fl.; three sisters, Yolande Houle of Coaticook,Quebec, Canada, Monique Houle of Lac Simon, Quebec, Canada and Daniele Houle of Compton, Quebec, Canada; one brother, Remi Houle of Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada and a grandchild Simon D'Amours of St Julie, Quebec, Canada and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McKenzie died Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at her residence.
A native of Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Bank and Beulah Quinn Spivey. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Also, she and her husband lived in Chicago, Ill., for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Charlie McKenzie of Montezuma; a sister, Daisy Keith of Park Forest, Ill.; her mother-in-law, Seabrite Seay of New York; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

James David Fitzgerald
CORDELE - James David Fitzgerald, 81, of Cordele died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, in Crisp Regional Hospital.
Mr. Fitzgerald was the son of the late William Fitzgerald and Ollie Viola (Mitchell) Fitzgerald. He was a retired commercial fisherman and a member of the Pope City Baptist Church.
He is survived by a sister, Ruth Rowland of Apopka, Fla.; a brother, Edgar Fitzgerald of Milwaukee, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews including Faye Tyson of Cordele, Angela Cape of Albany, and Melvin Black of Cordele.
Graveside services will be today, Dec. 10, 2004, at 4:30 p.m. in Pope City Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilcox County.
Arrangements are being handled by Rainey Family Funeral Services Inc. where the family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m. until time for the service.

CORDELE - Funeral services for Marie Gisele Denyse (Houle) Weber were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Third Street Baptist Church. The Rev. Billy Wayne Priest conducted the service and Rainey Family Funeral Service was in charge of the arrangements.
Tommie Jean Beacham, organist, and Amie Tienda, pianist, played soft music. The service was opened with a song recorded by the Rev. Weber. Mrs. Tienda and Tommie Jean Beacham accompanied Todd and Bill Priest as they sang “Amazing Grace” and “Victory In Jesus.” Chaz Weber sang “If You Could See Me Now.” Eulogies were given by Remi Houle and Denita Raye. The service was closed with a recording of the Rev. Weber singing.
Pallbearers were Stephane D’Amours, Chaz Weber, Remi Houle, Bill Priest and Todd Priest.
