John Robb
Mr. John Robb, age 67 of Jasper, passed away July 25, 2001 at
Mountainside Medical Center.
He is survived by his sons, William and John Robb, both of
Woodstock, Kenneth Robb, Jasper, and Gary Robb, Germany; daughter, Vicky
Roberts, Florida; sisters, Charlotte Laramie, Lila Allen and Nordene
Bowler. Fifteen grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive. He
was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Walter Robb.
A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. Friday at the home of his son.

Infant Andrew Chadwick
Infant Andrew George Chadwick passed away July 26, 2001 at
Northside Hospital-Cherokee.
He is survived by his parents, David and Debra Chadwick, Jasper;
sister, Brandy Leigh Chadwick, Jasper; grandparents, Pearnelle Greer,
Ellijay, and David and Barbara Chadwick, New York.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Gospel
Temple with the Rev. Robert Lawson officiating. Interment followed in the
church cemetery with Eddie Stowe and Ray Hughes serving as pallbearers.

Onita Chastain
Miss Onita Chastain, age 77 of Jasper, formerly of Cartersville,
Passed away Friday, July 27, 2001 at her residence. She was the daughter of
J.W. and Emma Chastain and a faithful member of the Northside Church of
Christ for 29 years.
She is survived by three sisters, Blanche, Iris and Montana
Chastain, all of Jasper. Remembered by many cousins, loved ones and good
friends.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29 from the
Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Mr. Douglas Sims and Mr. Norm Fields
officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The following
served as pallbearers: Norm Fields, Ernest Burnette, Frank Medlin, Johnny
Boyd, Jake Robinson and Guy Dickenson.
Herbert Barnes
Mr. Herbert Floyd Barnes, age 69 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday,
July 29, 2001. Mr. Barnes retired from the Cherokee County Sheriff's
Department and was a member of the Riverdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Barnes of Canton; son, Herman
Floyd "H.F." Barnes of Jasper; daughters, Nashala Lynn Carmona of Alabama
and Barbara Ann Fowler of Jasper; brother, James Riley Barnes of Canton;
sister, Bettie Sue Bishop of Ball Ground. Twenty-one grandchildren and one
great-grandchild also survives.
The funeral service was held Wednesday, August 1 at 2 p.m. from the
Riverdale Baptist Church with the Revs. Edwin Weaver and Thomas Wheeler
officiating. Burial followed in the Cherokee Memorial Park.

Estie McGhee
Mrs. Estie McGhee, age 88 of Jasper, passed away Saturday, July 28,
2001 at Mountainside Medical Center.
She is survived by one son, Billy McGhee, Ellijay; three daughters,
Janis Stancil, Jane McGhee and Sue Payne, all of Jasper; one brother,
Herbert McArthur, Ranger; one sister, Minnie Westbrook, Jasper. Twelve
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. She was
predeceased by her husband, Clinton S. (Jack) McGhee; two sons, Sammy and
Jimmy McGhee; and one daughter, Diane Towery.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 30 from
Whitestone Baptist Church with Dr. Charlie Boggan and Rev. Corey Rich
officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The following
served as pallbearers: Mike Smith, Mike King, Cam and Danny Towery, Kelley,
Kelley and Max McGhee and Hank Edge.

Reba Golden
Mrs. Reba Golden, age 88 of Jasper, passed away Monday, July 30,
2001 at Mountainside Medical Center.
She is survived by one son, Steven Golden, Albany; three daughters,
Joanna Ray, Jasper, Nancy King, Apopka, Fl., and Avis Godfrey, Springfield,
Ga.; one sister, Jewell Cashin, Villa Rica. Fourteen grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1 from
the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles O. Walker
officiating. Interment followed in Hill Crest Cemetery in Villa Rica. The
family request in lieu of flowers make donations to Wildwood Health Care
Christmas Fund.
Carolyn Moore
Mrs. Carolyn Denise (Mouse) Denson Moore, age 36 of Cumming,
formerly of Jasper, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2001 at Mountainside
Medical Center.
She is survived by one son, Sam Moore, Cumming; one brother,
Charles Denson, Cedartown; two sisters, Jennie Jordan, Cedartown, and Diane
Denson, Villa Rica.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4 from
the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Step officiating.
Dorothy Beck
Mrs. Dorothy (Dot) Beck, age 76 of Jasper, passed away Tuesday,
Nov. 6, 2001 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.
She is survived by one son, James Beck, Jasper; one daughter, Rita
Stokes, Jasper; one brother, D.J. Free, Jasper. Three grandchildren, six
great-grandchildren and one niece also survives.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7 from the
Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Childers officiating.
Interment followed in the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery. The following
served as pallbearers: Guy, Pat and Randall Childers, Michael and Danny
Edwards and Teddy Howard. The family did accept flowers or donations to

Mrs. Lerida Bravo, age 82 of Pembroke Pines, Fl., passed away
Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001 at Mountainside Medical Center.
She is survived by one daughter, Lazara Bravo Echols, Jasper; one
sister, Olga Gonzalez, Pembroke Pines; four grandchildren, Angelo Bravo Jr.
and Lisa Echols Hendrix, Jasper, Barbara Bravo Gallagher, Calhoun, and
Talani Casariego, Marietta. Five great-grandchildren also survive.
The interment was held Saturday, Nov. 10 at Southern Memorial Park
in North Miami Beach, Fl. with Rivero Funeral Home in Hialeah, Fl. in
charge of the graveside service.

Infant Michael Daniel, one month old, passed away Monday, Nov. 12,
2001 at Athens Regional Hospital.
He is survived by his parents, Dana Daniel, Locust Grove, Ga., and
Shelly Howard, Nicholson, Ga., grandmother, Barbara Fields Howard, Jasper;
great-grandmother, Inez Fields, Jasper; Godmother, Lonna Pendley,
Nicholson; one sister, Elizabeth Michelle Daniel, Locust Grove.

Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Pastor Vince Mercardante officiating.

William Mulkey
Mr. William Columbus Mulkey, age 69 of Fairmount, passed away
Friday, Nov. 16, 2001 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Mulkey was born Oct. 23, 1932 in Gordon County to the late Mr.
and Mrs. Grady and May Mulkey. He retired after many years of service as an
equipment operator from Wilbanks Construction Company in Canton and was a
member of Salacoa Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by six sisters,
Helan Mulkey, Annie Ruth McDaniel, Lonetta Hall, Dorothy Parks, Doris
Bryant and Margurett Hancock; and two brothers, Herman and Billy Mulkey.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marcelle Mulkey, Fairmount;
daughters, Beverly Holt and Robin Guthrie, both of Fairmount, and Judy
Jones, Rydal; sons, Andy Mulkey of Fairmount and Randy Mulkey of Jasper;
sisters, Gladys Hibbert of Adairsville, Betty Jean Hall of Calhoun and
Louise Patterson of Acworth; brother, Robert Mulkey of Fairmount;
grandchildren, Heather, Eric, Beth, Brook, Brandon, Nicole, Joshua, Cody,
Kane, Brandie and Kathryn; one great-grandson, Tanner. Several nieces,
nephews and cousins also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Salacoa
Baptist Church with the Revs. W.L. McSwain and David Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Sally Jones arranged the music. Pallbearers were: Heath and Eric Holt,

Rose Devlin
Mrs. Rose M. Devlin, age 80 of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., passed away
Friday morning, Nov. 2, 2001 at her home.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Mr. Harry Devlin, Ft.
Lauderdale; son and daughter-in-law, H.A. and Bonnie Devlin, Bent Tree; and
two grandsons, H.A. Devlin III, University of Florida in Gainesville, and
Harris Devlin, Bent Tree.
The memorial service was held on Nov. 13 at St. Basil Church,
Miami, Fl. with Father Peter officiating.
Willie Padgett
Mr. Willie C. Padgett, age 59 of Talking Rock, passed away
Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001 at Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell, Ga.
He is survived by one son, Chris Padgett, Atlanta; one daughter,
Becky Burch, Covington; four brothers, J.T. Padgett, Ball Ground, Terry,
Ronnie and Marvin Padgett, all of Jasper; four sisters, Carolyn Taylor,
Kingston, Sharon Daily, Waynesville, N.C., Ellen Smith, Chattanooga, Tn.,
and Erma Lee Morris, Jasper. Three grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17 from the
Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. J.T. Padgett and Ronnie Padgett
officiating. Interment followed in Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery. The

Padgett, Jonathon Ray and Rickey Smith.
Callie Jordan
Mrs. Callie Blackwell Jordan, age 104, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002.
A lifelong resident of Marietta, she attended the school at the Campground Academy and also attended 102 camp meetings at the Marietta Camp Meeting. She was a charter member of the Roswell Street Baptist Church, a charter member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1033 and also a member of Jasper Chapter #479 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her daughters, Coleen Whitlock, Canton, Calista McGriff, Marietta, and Rebekah Jordan, Norfolk, Va.; son, Clelland Jordan, Marietta. Thirteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m. from Roswell Street Baptist Church with the Revs. John Crooks and Kent Jennings officiating. Interment followed in Kennesaw Memorial Park. Hay-Gantt Funeral Home of Marietta was in charge of the arrangements.
Barbara Hines
Barbara Vinson Hines, age 74 of Jasper, passed away on Oct. 9, 2002 at Mountain Health Care Nursing Home.
She is survived by three sons and their families, William E. Hines, Walnut Grove, Ca., Wade and Diana Hines, Loganville, and Charles and Marie Hines, Jasper. Survivors also include several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Born in Cedartown, Ga. Oct. 9, 1928, Ms. Hines settled in Marietta and then relocated to Jasper after retiring from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta. She was cremated, per her request, and a private service was held by her family.
Tammi Cossin
Mrs. Tammi Young Cossin, age 27 of Jasper, passed away at her residence Oct. 15, 2002.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Cossin, Jasper; parents, Ed and Minnie Young, Jasper; one son, Logan Cossin, Jasper; one brother, Wesley Young, Jasper; two sisters, Julie Stell and Nicole Young, both of Jasper.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerrol Young officiating. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Ms. Janice Norrell, age 23 of Talking Rock, passed away Oct. 17, 2002 at North Fulton Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Rick and Mattie Ayers, Tate, and Jackie Norrell, Canton; fiancee, Shane Almond; two sons, James Royand Jacob Ray Tripplett, both of Talking Rock; one daughter, Rachel Shable Tripplett, Talking Rock; one sister, Jackie Lynn Waller, Canton.

Mrs. Carol Brooks McKenzie, age 49 of Jasper, passed away Oct. 16, 2002 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Craig McKenzie, Jasper; step-daughters and step-son-in-law, Alycia and Russ Collins, Lawrenceville, and Megan McKenzie, Columbia, S.C.; one brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Elaine Brooks, Jasper; one sister and brother-in-law, Claudel and Neal McKenzie, Jasper. Nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. from Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Revs. Moss Fountain, Joey DuBois, Johnny McPherson and Greg Weatherby officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Randy and William England, Keith Brooks, Mark Whitfield, Randy Pinyon and Steve Schultz.
