Betty Ann Kelley
Betty Ann Kelley, age 69 of Canton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9,
2004. She was employed by Canton Textile Mills for many years and a member of
the North Canton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William W. Kelley, Canton; son, the
Rev Larry Kelley, Taking Rock, sister, Edith McPherson, Woodstock. Two
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also
survive. The funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. from the
Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Kelley
officiating.
Interment followed in Macedonia Memorial Park.

Jasper Chastain
Mr. Jasper Doyle Chastain, age 84 of Ball Ground, Ga., passed away
Sept. 11, 2004 in Knoxville, Tn. He was born Oct. 8, 1919 in Gilmer County,
the son of the late Mack and Ethel Chastain. He was a member of the
Ebenezer Baptist Church, a veteran serving with the US Army and was a retired
auto mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine McArthur Chastain of the home;
sons and daughters, Mark and Shirley Chadwick Mason and Lynda Chadwick, all
of Ball Ground, Melvin and Mary Chadwick, Etowah, Tn.; grandchildren,
Casey and Corey Chadwick, Shane and Stacey Chadwick and Kelly and Kevin Moss;
step-grandchild, Tammy Ray; great-grandchildren, Shae and Sy Chadwick
and Owen Moss; aunt, Lois Powell, Dawsonville.
The funeral service was held Tuesday at 3 p.m. from the Ebenezer
Baptist Church with the Revs. Emmett Burgess, Calvin Grogan and Edwin Weaver
officiating. Music was by the church choir. Pallbearers were: Johnny
Cornelius, Ernie McArthur, Corey and Shane Chadwick, Kevin Moss and
Jason Richards. Honorary pallbearers were: Kenneth Howell, Larry Davis, Jerry
Green, Paul Ellis, Pete Weaver and Johnny Parton. Interment was in the
church cemetery with military rites by the North Georgia Honor Guard.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Horace King
Mr. Horace Bernard King, age 81 of Jasper, Ga., formerly of
Colquitt and Dougherty counties, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004 at his home.
Mr. King was born in Moultrie, Ga. on July 19, 1923, to the late
Bernard Carson and Nomie Hall King. He served in the Army during WW II and was
a deputy sheriff for the Dougherty County Sheriff¹s Department in Albany
for 30 years. He was a member of the Rock Hill Masonic Lodge and was
honored for 50 years of service. Mr. King accepted Christ as his Savior at Rose
Hill Baptist Church in Hartsfield.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Louis
King; and sister, Earline King Curley.
Survivors include his wife, Myron Moree King of Jasper; daughters
and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Richard Combs of Jasper and Kay and Ronald
Gold of Marietta; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Glenda King of Ball Ground;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian King Howell of Albany, Joyce and
Lew Bevan of Naples, Fl. and Barbara and Cecil Bowers of Moultrie; brothers
and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Alice King of Moultrie and Raymond and Mary
King of Albany; grandchildren, Brent Whitfield of Gray, Ga., Kevin King of
Kennesaw, Whitney Evans of Greenville, S.C., Kelly Payne and Kimberly
Combs, both of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Garrett Whitfield of
Gray and Bennett Evans of Greenville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. from Rose Hill Baptist
Church in Hartsfield with Mr. King¹s nephew, Danny Moree, officiating.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A memorial service will be held in
Jasper at a later date. Pallbearers are: Brent Whitfield, Kevin King,
Craig Evans, Brian Payne, Cecil Bowers and Lew Bevan. Honorary pallbearers
are: Ruis Phillips, Elwood Moree, Marvin King and representatives from the
Dougherty County Sheriff¹s Department. Those desiring to make

Leonard 'Tom' Childers
Mr. Leonard 'Tom' Childers, age 58 of the Ryo Community, passed
away Sunday, August 29, 2004 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Childers, Ryo Community; two sons
and daughters-in-law: Shaun and Julie Childers, Calhoun, and Tony and
Melissa Childers, Jasper; eight brothers: Max and Guy Childers, both of
Jasper, Ed Childers, Sylvester, Ga., Junior and Herman Childers, both of Calhoun,
Melvin Childers, Talking Rock, Bobby and James Childers, both of
Fairmount; sisters, Linda Childers and Bonnie Pruitt, both of Jasper; five
grandchildren, Mitchell Childers, Megan Childers, Matthew Cochran,
Madison Cochran and Jessica Cochran.
The funeral service was at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1 at Ryo
Baptist Church with the Revs. Herman Mulkey and Wilburn Childers officiating.
Interment followed in the church cemetery. The following served as
pallbearers: Mark Childers, Chad Childers, Corey Childers, Chris
Childers, Randy Childers and Brian Perry. Cagle Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Frances Littleton
Ms. Frances Scott Littleton, age 91 of Lakeland, Fl. (formerly of Tate), passed away Sept. 15, 2006 at Southland Suites Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Sheldon Littleton.
Ms. Littleton was born June 10, 1915 in Sweetwater, Tn. She was an office administrator/caregiver and attended Cool Springs Baptist Church in Tate.
Survivors include her son, William S. Littleton, Lakeland; brother, John Lynn Scott, Sebring, Fl.; sisters, Ruth McCool, Middleton, Oh., Roberta Westbrook, Sacramento, Ca., Dottie Pierce, Metairie, La., and Trudy Scandland, Ellenton, Fl. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. from the First Baptist Church at the Mall under the direction of Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel. Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, Fl. 33823.

Alfred Test, Jr.
Mr. Alfred Lewis Test, Jr., age 76 of Jasper, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
Mr. Test was the only child of Oscar and Bessie Prescott Test, who preceded him in death. He attended Carlisle Military Academy and while there obtained his pilots license. He became a flight instructor, training veterans from WW II under the new GI Bill. Mr. Test crop-dusted throughout the South and Midwest. Returning to Ft. Pierce, he worked at the Ft. Pierce News Tribune before joining the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Department. He began as a deputy on road patrol, became a detective and retired as a captain. He directed the establishment of the first multi-jurisdictional 911 system in the State of Florida.
Mr. Test's hobbies included flying, photography, reading and he redefined the art of deer watching from a rocking chair on the porch.
Mr. Test is survived by Elizabeth Coberly, life partner, Jasper; former wife, Gwen Test, Ft. Pierce, Fl.; daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Jim Toler, Aiken, S.C., Terri and Matt Horn, Northridge, Ca., Barbara Lynn and Scott Vlasak, Kalispell, Mt., and Catherine F. Test and Dilbert Smith, Lake Butler, Fl. Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
A visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 16 at Roper Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Nov. 25 in Ft. Pierce, Fl. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pickens Animal Rescue. Roper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Winfred Robinson,
Mr. Winfred Odell “Buck” Robinson, Sr., age 79 of Garden City, Mi., died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 at the Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, Mi. following a period of declining health.
Born April 7, 1928 in Talking Rock, Ga., he was the son of the late E.L. and Hettie Lowery Robinson. Mr. Robinson served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Susie Robinson, Garden City; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Richard Miller, Garden City; sons and daughters-in-law, Winfred and Corrine Robinson, Jr., Hazel Park, Mi., and David and Leigh Snell Robinson, Silver Springs, Md.; brother, Jason Robinson, Jasper, Ga.; sisters, May Mosley, Gladys Cagle and Dorothy Payne, all of Jasper. He was grandfather to six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 from R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Garden City. Interment was in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mi. Roper Funeral Home of Jasper announcing for the R.G. and G.R. Harris Funeral Home.

Vernon Jackson
Mr. Vernon O. Jackson, age 77 of Jasper, Ga., died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 at Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, Ga. following a period of declining health.
Born July 3, 1930 in Pickens County, he was the son of the late John Wiley and Myrtle Malonia Tippens Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gerald Minnie Padgett Jackson in 1998. Mr. Jackson was a truck driver, having drove for C&J Leasing in Dalton and L&W Trucking in Jasper.
Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Jackson Ayers and Robin Jackson Quarles, both of Jasper; sons, Steven and Ricky Jackson, both of Jasper; grandchildren, Bridgett Harkins and Jeremy Jackson, both of Jasper; great-grandchildren, Eli Harkins and Kyle Jackson, both of Jasper; and sister, Lorene Bennett, Talking Rock. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 from Roper Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Dean officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Mitchell and Jeremy Jackson, Phillip Tippens, Joey Harkins, Darren Bennett and Greg Brendel.

Dorothy Nesbitt
Mrs. Dorothy Lee Nesbitt, age 70 of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007 at Metropolitan Hospice in Atlanta.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Nesbitt, Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Fred Collins, Jasper; brother, Douglas Cox, Hilton Head, S.C.; and grandchildren, Kristine Scurry and Diane Woodall. Five great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held Friday, Sept. 21 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. Charles Holbert, Harold Cantrell and Calvin Ball officiating. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Allen Wigington, Jim Gleason, Phil and Jeff Taylor, Tony Scurry and Jeff Woodall. Flowers were accepted and donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 17 Executive Park, Ste. 115, Atlanta, Ga. 30329-2012.

Tina Shooltz
Mrs. Tina McCallie Shooltz, age 42, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
Survivors include her mother, Faye Smith, Jasper; daughters, Sarah and Brittany Shooltz, both of Talking Rock; brothers, Jimmy Smith, Jasper, and Tony Smith, Wisconsin; sisters, Sylvia Smith, Ball Ground, Tammy Goss (twin sister), Jasper, Susan Crace, Chatsworth, and Rhonda Fair, Resaca. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Entombment was in Sunrise Gardens Chapel Mausoleum. Pallbearers were: Terry and Wayne Cowart, Tommy and Shane Page, Alex Reece and Walker Shealey, Jr.

William Mercier
William Rice Mercier, owner of Mercier Orchards, Inc., age 88 of Blue Ridge, passed away Sept. 14, 2007 at his home.
He was born in Madison County, Ga. Mr. Mercier graduated from the University of Georgia in 1940 having earned a degree in agriculture.
After college he was employed by the Farmers Security Agency in North Georgia. He met his future wife, Adele Roper of Jasper and they were married in 1941 and moved to Fannin County in 1942 where he was county extension agent.
They purchased the original apple orchard from Dr. Lloyd, the local pharmacist, in 1943. While developing the orchard, he was additionally employed as the Southeast property manager of the Tennessee Copper Co. (Cities Service Co.).
Using his knowledge of soils, he was successful in designing and implementing a plan to reforest the Copper Basic area by supervising the planting of over 300,000 pine trees each year for several years, and developing a fertilizer pellet that is still in use today.
He retired from the Cities Service Co. in 1979 after 27 years of service.
After he retired, Bill, Adele and their son Tim expanded the orchard into what is now Mercier Orchards, Inc., the largest, privately owned apple orchard in Georgia.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Adele Roper Mercier; sons and daughter-in-law, William T. and Sandra Mercier, Blue Ridge, and James Mercier, Los Angeles; daughter, Helen Mercier, Blue Ridge; grandchildren, Melissa Mercier Lillard and Amanda Mercier Foster; and great-grandchildren, Zachery and Annabel Lillard and Alexandria Foster.

Billy Wallace
Bill M. Wallace, age 76 of Dawsonville, answered God’s clarion call to come through the portals of Heaven on Monday, Sept. 12, 2005.
A highly respected and dearly loved life-long citizen of Dawson County, Bill served dutifully and gladly wherever he was needed. Although it would be impractical to cite all the roles Billy fulfilled for public benefit, particularly noteworthy are the years of service he gave to the City of Dawsonville as mayor and in many other services. Singularly noteworthy was his tenure on the county board of education.
Those who know Bill well will remember him as a devoted Christian family man, an honest, shrewd businessman, an effective and efficient public servant and a devout, dedicated worker for God and His church. Dawsonville First Baptist Church has no more dedicated member or one more eager to lend support than was Billy Wallace. There was no limit to his love for his church family as well as for his own personal family. People who know Billy heed the common belief that if there is a job to be done well, “call Billy.” God called! Billy answered! Dawson County’s loss is Heaven’s gain.
Mr. Wallace was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Mansfield.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Joyce Wallace, Dawsonville; children, David and Andrea Wallace and Russ and Jennifer Wallace, all of Dawsonville, and Carol Wallace Mansfield of Atlanta; brother and sister-in-law, Sherman and Edwina Wallace, Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Wayne Wright, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Amy, Will, Ashley and Taylor Wallace, Travis and Adam Johnson, Greer and David Mansfield; and great-granddaughter, Sydney Johnson.
A graveside service was held Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10 o’clock from new Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial service was held on the same day at 11 at the Dawsonville First Baptist Church with Dr. Jim Gaines and the Rev. Hugh Fields officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1161 Bailey Waters Rd., Dawsonville, Ga.; Dawsonville First Baptist, PO Box 1358, Dawsonville, Ga. 30534 or your favorite charity. Carol Summey
Carol Sue Russell Summey, age 60 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She attended Bethlehem Baptist Church in Monroe County.
Ms. Summey was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lillie Russell; sisters, Barbara Jean Russell and Wilma J. Shoemate; brother, Paul David Russell.
Survivors include her son, Scott Summey of Maryville; special friends, Patsy Wilhite, Wilma, Laura and Teresa Butler.
Ms. Summey was cremated and a celebration service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.

Bobby Hamby
Mr. Bobby Joseph Hamby, age 49 of Nelson, Ga., passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
Mr. Hamby is survived by his wife, Jeanine Hamby of Nelson; parents, Richard and Dottie Hamby of Nelson; sons, Michael Hamby of Powder Springs and Jason Hamby of Jasper; daughters, Meloney Hamby of Chamberton, N.C. and Violet Hamby of Jasper; brothers, David Hamby of Nelson and Bug Hamby of Ball Ground; sisters, Peggy Helms of Ft. Payne, Al., Maggie Ivey of Jasper and Kathy Hamby of Woodstock; and two grandchildren, Destin Crocker of Chamberton and McKenzie Hamby of Powder Springs.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Revs. Jerrold Young and Roy Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Sudie Clark
Mrs. Sudie “Estes” Cochran Clark, age 93 of Jasper, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Osborne Williams and Nancy and Don Roland, all of Jasper; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Clark of Ellijay; sister, Bobbie Jo Scott of Mableton. Six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Joe Clark; and son, Roy Clark.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 from Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles O. Walker and Tim Pearson officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Mark and Joey Roland, Mitchell, Phillip and Niki Clark, Bill Tilley and Brandon Rutledge. Honorary pallbearer was William Clark Roland. The family did accept flowers or donations may be made to Unity Christian Church. Roper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

James Blackwell
Mr. James H. Blackwell, age 80 of Talking Rock, Ga., passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 14, 2005 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby H. Blackwell, Jasper; step-daughter, Vivian Quinton, Talking Rock; brother, the Rev. Leroy Blackwell, Nelson; sister, Frankie Nell Dunn, Marietta; half-sister, Mattie Sue Sheriff, Gainesville; sister-in-law, Mattie Joe Blackwell, Canton; and grandchildren, Thomas and Kathy Quinton and Ricky and Connie Holmes, all of Talking Rock. Six great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held Friday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. Leroy Blackwell and Danny Townsend officiating. Interment followed in Lake Forest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were: Thomas and Anthony Quinton, Rick Holmes, James Byrd, J.L. Blackwell and Joe Burk.

Paula VanSant
Miss Paula VanSant, age 54 of Virginia Beach, formerly of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 at her residence.
Miss VanSant had been in the US Navy for over 21 years. She was a veteran of Desert Storm and a member of the United Nations Forces in Bosnia.
She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Nancy VanSant and Joe and Maxie VanSant, all of Jasper, and Jack VanSant of Virginia Beach, Va.; nieces and nephews, Nicole, Jonathan, Joey, Sara and Jordan; great-nieces, Taylor and Leah VanSant; and a great-nephew, Landon VanSant.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Von Hinton officiating. Interment followed in the Jasper City Cemetery with full military honors. Honorary pallbearers were: Jonathan, Joey, Jacob and Jordan VanSant, Phil Landrum, Jr., Tommy Lindsey and Grady Evans. The family asks that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

Hoyt Fain
Mr. Hoyt Fain, age 89 of Bent Tree, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2005 at his daughter’s residence in Marietta.
Mr. Fain had been employed with Georgia Power Co. for 40 years and had worked at Plant Hammond in Rome, Ga.
Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Sonia and James C. Locklear of Marietta, and Marcia Aycock of Rome; grandchildren, Candice Perry, Jim and Tim Locklear, Lisa Piazza and Jason Fain; and great-grandchildren, Sean and Kerry Locklear and Gabriella Aycock.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 from Salem Baptist Church in Gilmer County with the Rev. Billy Emmett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Scott Perry, George Avery, R.L. Fain, Tim Locklear, Roy Stephens and Harold Underwood. Cagle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Harvey Mullinax
The Rev. Harvey Mullinax, age 89 of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton, Ga.
Mr. Mullinax was an ordained Baptist minister who served as pastor of several churches in Pickens County for a number of years. In 1961, Harvey opened the Pickens County Farm Bureau Insurance Agency and worked as agency manager for 18 years. He then served on the board for the next 25 years, the last 22 of which was in the capacity of president, the position he held until his retirement in October 2004.
Mr. Mullinax is survived by his wife, Verna Mullinax, Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Mitchell Newton, Jasper; sisters, ImaJean Mullinax of Jasper and Vera Emory, Douglasville. Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter also survives.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. Gene Childers and Johnny Garrison officiating. Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The following served as pallbearers: Bill Newton, Jessie Mullinax, Lee Mullins, Jerry Barnes, Gary Fountain and J.L. Davis.

Donald Kolberg
Donald Wayne Kolberg, age 71 of Mt. Vernon, Oh., formerly of Bisbee, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005 at his home in Mt. Vernon.
Donald W. Kolberg was born Sept. 15, 1933 in Bisbee, N.D., the son of Hawkon I and Anna (Jennum) Kolberg. He was raised in the area and graduated from Bisbee High School. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1955. Donald married Kathlyn Anderson in Lakota, N.D. on August 13, 1955. He served in the US Air Force as a meteorologist and retired from the US Air Force Reserves as a Lt. Colonel. He attended the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and received his PhD in Geography. He was professor of Geography at the University of Valparaiso in Indiana, the University of Buffalo in New York, Georgia State University and Georgia Tech, both in Atlanta, retiring in 1995. Donald owned and operated a convenience store in Talking Rock, Ga. until retiring in 2005 and moving to be near his son David in Mt. Vernon.
Survivors include his wife, Kathlyn Kolberg of Lakota; daughters, Cynthia (Michael) Ritteman of Lakota, Lisa Curtis of St. Paul, Mn. and Sarah Donofrio of Xenia, Oh.; son, David (Lauren) Kolberg of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren, Korey Dean, Niki and John Kolberg, Quinnlyn and Hannah Ritteman, Eric Curtis, Luke, Addie and Alia Donofrio; and brother, Robert Kolberg, State of Washington; Many nieces and nephews also survive. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mervin, Orlando, Arnie and Ernie.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Loy Bruce
Mr. Loy James Bruce, age 84 of Talking Rock, passed away on
Monday, Sept. 13, 2004 at his residence. He was retired from Georgia
Marble.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bruce of Talking Rock;
son, Ronnie Bruce of Talking Rock; daughter, Jessica Bruce of Talking
Rock; step-sons, Randy, Richard and Michael Weaver, all of Talking
Rock; brother, George Bruce of Dallas; sisters, Eulamae Mooney of
Cleveland, Tn. and Gertie Spriggs of Ball Ground. Grandchildren, Alex
and Kyle Reece and David and Ansley Bruce, all of Talking Rock, and
eight step-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Bruce was preceded in
death by a son, David Bruce, and brother, Ralph Bruce.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 16
from Sosebee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Summey officiating.
Interment followed in the Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery.
