Mrs. Doris "Mick" Hammond Henderson, 57, of Highway 219, Franklin, Ga., died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at her residence.
Mrs. Henderson was born September 11, 1943 in Newnan, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, King David and Ozella Newborn Hammond and her husband, John Henderson.
The family was receiving friends at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan Thursday evening, July 18 from 7-9 p.m.
A funeral is Friday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at McKoon Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Fleming will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Phyllis Pearle Wilkie
Mrs. Phyllis Pearle Wilkie, 78, of Newnan, Ga., died July 15, 2002 at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Wilkie was born in 1923 in Charlestown, New Hampshire to Kenneth and Dorothea Hayes where she grew up and attended the local schools. After marrying William Boudrieau, they moved to Manchester, Connecticut and later to West Palm Beach, Florida. After the death of her husband, she moved to Lake City, Florida where she met and married William Clyde Wilkie. They later moved to Warner Robbins, Ga.
After the deathof her second husband, she moved to Newnan to be close to her daughter, Darlene Edwards. Mrs. Wilkie enjoyed watching stock car racing on television and listening to her old friend, Dick Bergen, announcing the races. She was a huge fan of Elvis and loved his music. She enjoyed making ceramics and had a passion for shopping. While living in Newnan, she attended church services at St. George's Catholic Church. Mrs. Wilkie will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who devoted most of her time to her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Dorothea Hayes; her first husband, Mr. William Boudrieau; and her second husband, Mr. William Clyde Wilkie.
Surviving are a son, Ron Boudrieau and his wife Pam of Fort White, Florida; two daughters, Darlene Edwards and her husband Bruce of Newnan, Ga., and Candy Smith and her husband John of Riedsville, North Carolina; two brothers, Alan Hayes of Princeton, West Virginia, and Roger Hayes of Hixon, Tennessee; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Jones Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Thomas Shannon officiating.

Mrs. Rosie Lee Ingram, 82, of Newnan, Ga., and formerly of Columbus, Ga., died Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at the Columbus Hospice House.
A funeral will be Friday, July 19 at 1 p.m. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home Chapel, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, with burial at Parkhill Cemetery.
The family will have visitation with friends beginning one hour before service time at the chapel.
Mrs. Ingram was born April 29, 1920 in Coweta County, Ga., daughter of the late Ernest Jacobs and Nellie Short Jacobs. She was the widow of Robert Ingram, was a homemaker and her religious faith was the Church of God.
Surviving are daughter, Rosie Mae Smith of Columbus, Ga.; sisters, Mrs. Mary Meadows of Valley, Ala., Mrs. Estell Farmer of Newnan, Mrs. Ruthie Mae Murphy of Palmetto, Ga., and Mrs. Nellie Tanner of Davis, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.

Miss Parrie Winkles, 84, of Luthersville Road, Greenville, Ga., died July 16, 2002 at her residence.
Miss Winkles was born October 2, 1917 in Carroll County, Ga., daughter of Riley and Susie (Reynolds) Winkles. She was a farmer and worked at Lockheed.
A funeral will be at graveside at Friendship Baptist Church cemetery in Winston, Ga. Thursday, July 18, at 11 a.m. Chaplain Thomas Taylor will officiate.

Mrs. Laura Ann Seamon died Monday, July 15, 2002 at her residence.
A funeral will be Thursday, July 18 at 11 a.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 406 Newnan Rd., Carrollton, Ga. with the Rev. Elton Davis officiating, assisted by Minister Terrence Bell and Rev. Mr. Laura Ann Boozer Seamon was born July 29, 1950 in Coweta County to the late Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Beulah Boozer.
She joined the Mt. Lowell Baptist Church in the late sixties and has been a faithful member. She was married to Mr. Randy Seamon November 1, 1997.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ms. Angel Johnson, and a brother, Mr. Stanley Boozer.

Mr. Stitious Bernard Bussie, 31, formerly of Newnan, died July 10, 2002.

Mr. Sonny Drake, 59, of Haynie Road in Moreland, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Emory-Peachtree Regional Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Sept. 18, 1942, Mr. Drake was an electrical contractor and attended Moreland Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at Moreland Baptist Church on Monday, July 15, 2002, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Jerry Eley officiating. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery.

Mr. Robert W. 'Bob' Kuehl
Mr. Robert W. 'Bob' Kuehl, 74, of Newnan, died Friday, July 12, 2002, at Newnan Hospital.
Born Jan. 12, 1928, Mr. Kuehl was retired from the James River corporation. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a guard at the Nuremburg Trials. As a youth, Mr. Kuehl participated in cross country skiing and was in the Olympic tryouts in speed skating. He moved to Newnan from Wisconsin in 1960. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Newnan Elks Lodge and a past president of the Newnan Country Club. He attended Zion Lutheran Church.
A funeral service will be graveside at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Monday, July 15, 2002 at 4 p.m. Visitation will be at McKoon Funeral Home on Monday between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Kuehl of Newnan ; two sons, Larry Kuehl and Rusty Kuehl, both of Newnan; one sister, Joanne Fugate of Sheboygan, WI; one brother, Richard Keuhl on Providence, RI; one grandchild, Kelsey Kuehl of Newnan; and one step-daughter, Dixie Brooks of Carrollton.

Mr. Ray R. Villalpando of Carrollton died Saturday, July 13, 2002, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.
Mr. Villalpando was a retired truck driver with Southeastern Truck Lines.

Mr. Freddie B. Addison
Mr. Freddie B. Addison, 68, of Blandenburg Road, Carrollton, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. Addison was born April 21, 1934 in Fulton County, son of the late Daniel Adission. He was a former resident of Moreland and a retired lumber shop foreman with Richards Lumber Company.
Mr. Addison was a U. S. Air Force veteran, serving in the 820th Installation Squadron. He received the National Defense Service Medal and after active duty was assigned to the Fourteenth Air Force Reserve Unit.
The funeral service was held July 12 at Higgins Funeral Home at Hillcrest Chapel with the Rev. Troy Blackwelder and the Rev. Corky Addison officiating. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Aline; sons, Mike Addison, Todd Trapensted, Daniel Addison; daughter, Gabriel Addison; brother, Willie Addison; sister, Inez Williams; and 14 grandchildren.

Mr. Herschel Dowdy
Mr. Herschel Dowdy, 79, of Roosterville died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at his home.
Mr. Dowdy was born April 10, 1923 in Heard County, son of the late Charlie Henry Dowdy and Gladys Prince Dowdy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnel Denney Dowdy, a sister, Mary Bailey.
Mr. Dowdy was a graduate of Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro and West Georgia College. He received his master's degree from Auburn University.
Mr. Dowdy served the children of Heard County as a teacher and as principal of Unity School and Centralhatchee Elementary School. He was Heard County School Superintendent for 20 years.
Mr. Dowdy was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for many years.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Lions Club and was a Mason.
The funeral service will be held today, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Esther Carnes Driver, 85, of Newnan died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.
Mrs. Driver was born Sept. 20, 1916 in Newnan, daughter of the late John and Lizzie Carnes. She was a retired operator with BellSouth.
She was the widow of Victor H. "Vic" Driver Jr. A sister, Jimmie Virginia Carnes, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Jeane Bexley Dunn, 80, of Rock Hill, S. C. died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, S. C.
Mrs. Dunn was born Dec. 1, 1921 in the St. Charles Community of Coweta County to the late John Rufus Bexley and Sarah Agnes Chaffin Bexley. She was a graduate of Berry College in Rome.
Mrs. Dunn was a member and Sunday School teacher at Oakland Acenue Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill. She was a former Girl Scout leader and a member of the Rock Hill Junior League
Mrs. Dunn was retired from M. Lowenstein Company after 20 years in their accounting offices. She also was an experienced dietician and tailor.
She was the widow of James Dunn.
The memorial service will be held today, July 13, at 11 a.m. at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rock Hill or to a local hospice.

Mrs. Maebelle Smith Bonner
Mrs. Maebelle Smith Bonner, of Newnan, affectionately called "Skace" by family members, died July 10, 2002.
She was born March 1, 1907 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade Smith in Coweta County.
She was married to the late Mr. Ed Lee Bonner. One son, Penniston Heath; three brothers, Wade, Robert and Clifford Smith; two sisters, Mrs. Eugenia Samuels and Mrs. Sara Frances King preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bonner joined the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church at an early age. She was a member of The Mother Board, where she served faithfully until failing health would not allow her to attend. She was a hard worker, making sure her family was well taken care of. She greeted everyone with warmth and affection.
Surviving are one granddaughter, Ms. Shirley Health; great-granddaugther, Sonya Walker of Newnan; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Smith, Mrs. Brenice Allen of Newnan and Mrs. Marcellas Grier of Pensacola, Fla; brother-in-law, Willie Lee Allen of Newnan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Matthew Shawn Hogan, 19, of Easley, S. C., died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S. C.

Born Feb. 8, 1983 in LaGrange, Ga., Mr. Hogan lived in LaGrange most of his life before making his home in Easley three months ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was employed by BASF Inc.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Deborah and Deryck White of Lutherville, Maryland; two sisters, Katherine Johnson and Clara White, also of Lutherville; grandmother, Mrs. Jacqueline Cook of Easley; great-grandmother, Mrs. Floy Hale, also of Easley; uncle and aunt, David and Pattie Driver; and cousins, Derrick Driver and Daniel Driver, all of Five Points, Alabama.

Mr. Ralph Edward Smith Sr., 47, of Newnan, Ga., died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at his home.

Mr. Smith was born March 27, 1955 in Tallapoosa, Ala., son of the late Foster and Tommie Reagan Smith. He had lived in Coweta County since 1981, was a construction sub-contractor, and attended Free Will Baptist Church in Union City.

Mrs. Rebecca Ingram Thompson
Mrs. Rebecca Ingram Thompson, 94, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 following an extended illness.
A native of Sharpsburg, Ga., she was born September 29, 1907 to the late Robert A. and Mattie Lou North Ingram. The many happy memories of growing up in Sharpsburg endeared this area to her throughout her lifetime. She married Joseph Frank Thompson on June 11, 1924 and they were married for 61 years. Her life centered on her God, her family, and her love of music. She was honored to have been organist at Newnan Presbyterian Church for 10 years and also served as guest organist at Central Baptist Church. For more than 40 years she gave private piano instruction to hundreds of young people in Newnan, and her annual piano recitals were events that were greatly anticipated by her students and their families. "Miss Rebecca" was also well-known by the locals in downtown Newnan as she was seen most days sitting on her front porch greeting her family, friends and neighbors as they passed her residence on College Street.
Surviving are her son, Dr. Robert F. Thompson and his wife Judy of Newnan, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather at a graveside service on Friday, July 12, 2002 at 4 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Joel Richardson will officiate.
