Born July 12, 1930 in Pavo, he was the son of the late Edgar Howell Hart Sr. and Roselia Bryant Hart. On Dec. 27, 1951 in Pavo, he married Margaret Woods Hart who survives. Mr. Hart was a member of First Newark Church. He was a licensed minister, managed a grocery store in Pavo and a truck driver for Petroleum Products. He served in the Army Medical Corp in Korea where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Janice Hart of Pavo; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Rex Smith of Ochlocknee; son and daughter-in-law, Herbert and Melissa Hart of Pavo; brother, Charles Hart; sisters, Sara Repass, Shirley Gandy all of Pavo and Louise Fuchs of California; grandchildren, Rex Jr. and Michelle Smith, Tina Glenn, Jonathan Hart, Melita Lee Hart and Shawn Hart; and great-grandchildren, Mika Snipes, Trey Mashburn, Keyton Smith, Kaleb Smith and Aubrey Glenn. Born Sept. 15, 1909 in Grady County, she was a daughter of the late James Ivey and Rena Coble Wilder. She was married to Willie Ander Bush who died in 1948 and then she married Ellis Adams who died in 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of Mizpah Primitive Baptist Church. Born July 29, 1910 in Cairo, she was a daughter of the late Charles Sylvester and Idella Godwin Walden. She was a descendent of Elder William Hawthorne who was the earliest settler in what is now known as Grady County. On Aug. 16, 1928, she married Leslie William Crew who preceded her in death on May 19, 1990. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed God's beautiful nature and got much pleasure from creating beautiful flower gardens in her yard. She was a member of Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church, member of Moonlight Garden Club and volunteered as a Gray Lady at Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born in Thomasville and was the daughter of the late J.E. Smith and the late Julia Hicks Smith. She was a member of Metcalfe United Methodist Church and former member of the Thomasville First United Methodist Church for many years.
