A native of Thomas County, Mr. Davis was born July 3, 1957, to Pearlie Mae Guyton Davis and the late Herman Davis, Sr. He was a 1975 graduate of Central High School, attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and served as a cook in the food service industry. Mr. Davis died Dec. 23, 2004 at his residence, 320 N. Hansell St., in Thomasville. Survivors include mother, Pearlie M. Johnson, Sr. and Cecil Lee Causey Johnson. He was self-employed and of the Holiness religion. Mr. Johnson died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at his residence. Chip Gresham will officiate and interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens. A native of Thomas County, Mr. Wilson lived in Albany since 1958. He was a retired contractor and was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church. Mr. Wilson was a loving father and grandfather. He died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Elizabeth Wilson, a granddaughter, Karen Ryan of Boston, Ga. and a great-grandson, Jimmy Chavis, Jr. of Warner Robins, Ga. A lifetime resident of Cairo, he attended school in the Randolph County School System. Mr. Gilbert married Rosa Nell Jenkins and attended Little Bethel AME Church. He died Dec. 21, 2004, at Archbold Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a cook at Fair Oaks Plantation in Thomasville and attended Evergreen United Church of Christ where she held the office of elder and clerk. She was also a member of Rebecca Chapter #32 O.E.S. Mrs. Hadley died Dec. 22, 2004, at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. He attended the public schools in Leon County, Fla., was a member of Mt. Zion P. B. Church and was a retired porter for Greyhound Bus Lines.
