Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Ballard Moreland, 79 of East Peachtree Street, will be held Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Coggins Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery.
Mrs. Moreland died Monday, March 17, 2003 at Upson Regional Medical Center.
Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Moreland was a native of Upson County. She was born on Feb. 4, 1924 to the late Morgan Lee Ballard and Della Hamby Ballard. She worked for over 20 years at Thomaston Mills and was store manager at the Dixie Discount Store in Barnesville. Mrs. Moreland was a member of Wilson's Chapel FreeWill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Leonard Bruce Moreland of Thomaston.
Survivors include her sons, Mr. David (Alice) L. Moreland of Barnesville, Mr. Randy (Kathy) J. Moreland of Thomaston and Mr. Richard (Sandra) Moreland of Acworth; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jean Caldwell of Zebulon; sister, Mrs. Vesthi Wells of Thomaston, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
