Carl Paul Smith, 86, of Nicholson, diedMonday, June 28, 1999, at his residence.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Smith was bornMarch 23, 1913. He was a son of the late George Oscar and Emma Robertson Smith.
Mr. Smith was a retired union plasterer and was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Jackson Smith.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 1, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Richard Cathy and Bob Bone officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors include children, "The Seven G's"; two brothers, Hoyt R. Smith and Roy Neal Smith, both of Nicholson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch United Methodist Church Bicentennial Fund, 490 Tolbert Trail, Nicholson, GA 30565.

Miss Alana Dawn Harris, 18, of Homer, diedFriday, July 2, 1999, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce, following injuries received in an automobile accident.
A native of Lincolnton, N.C., Miss Harris was bornDecember 18, 1980. She was a daughter of Scott and Kelli Randolph Harris, Homer.
Miss Harris was a student at Banks County High School.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 5, at Grove Level Baptist Church, Maysville, with the Revs. Jeff Appling and Jeff Harris officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include two brothers, Chad Harris, Homer, and Marc Hewell, Gainesville; three sisters, Brittney Harris, Hannah Harris and Jennifer Harris, all of Homer; grandparents, Jim and Pat Harris, Gastonia, N.C., and Carl and Mildred Randolph, Ball Ground; great-grandparents, Mrs. Carl Randolph Sr., Shelby, N.C., Anthony Rickard, Gastonia, N.C., and Bertha Alice Harris, Clover, S.C.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 1, at Neals Grove Baptist Church, Commerce, with the Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include three sisters, Kimberly Little, Andrea Little and Chundrayvia Little, all of Commerce; and one brother, Marquavious Little, Commerce.

Mrs. Dora Vienia Pittman Baker, 85, of Gainesville, diedMonday, July 5, 1999.
A native of Hall County, Mrs. Baker was bornJuly 17, 1913. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Dora Wiley Pittman.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Talor Baker.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 8, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Jounior Swain officiating. Burial will be in Howington Cemetery, Nicholson.
Survivors include one son, Emanuel Clinton Baker, Gainesville; one daughter, Bobbie Redmon, Homer; two sisters, Margie Barrett, Nicholson, and Vernie Wiley, Commerce; 15 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Larry Wilson.
The family was to have received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Autry was a daughter of the late Tilman and Bessie Bagwell.
She had resided in Barrow County since 1944. Mrs. Autry was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Carolyn Autry.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 7, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Jerry Worley and Andy Bond officiating. Burial was in the Cabin Creek Baptist Church cemetery, Jackson County.

A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Marlowe was bornMay 23, 1946. She was a daughter of Vivian Webb Langford, Gainesville, and the late W.R. Langford.
Mrs. Marlowe was a seamstress.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 9, in the Holly Springs United Methodist Church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include one daughter, Christina Leigh Frizzell, Pendergrass; three sisters, Sara Nichols, Pendergrass, Vickie Parham, Social Circle, and Jackie Fichter, Gainesville; three brothers, Richard Langford, Maysville, James Langford, Gainesville, and Dwight Langford, Pendergrass; and two grandchildren.

A native of Madison County, Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of the late Jeff and Mattie Powers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher "Johnny" Johnson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 3, at Gholston Baptist Church, Comer, with the Rev. William Jennings officiating. Burial was in the Colbert Grove Baptist Church cemetery, Colbert. Mrs. Johnson's nephews served as pallbearers.
Survivors include one daughter, Carrie Mae Dowdy, Hull; two sisters, Jessie Griffith, Chicago, Ill., and Thelma McCurry, Athens; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Hargett was a homemaker and a member of St. Marks Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Hargett; five daughters, B.J. Martin and Sandra Hoose, both of Mt. A native of Missouri, Mrs. Ferguson was a daughter of the late Mont and Byrtle Lowrance Gant.
She had lived most of her life in Habersham County and had been employed with Mt. Vernon Mills. Mrs. Ferguson was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Ferguson.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 5, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Austin Keley officiating. Burial was in the New Bridge Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors include five daughters, Sherrie Holland, Mt. Airy, Patti Thomason, Alto, Gail Ferguson and Benita Williams, both of Cornelia, and Tammy McDuffie, Baldwin; one son, Monty "Bee Bo" Ferguson, Mt. Airy; two brothers, Jerry Gant and Fuzz Gant, both of Vienna, Mo.; three sisters, Sandie Ragan and Mett Finn, both of Vienna, Mo., and Imogene Jones, Licking, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren.
