Mrs. Page was bornin an area of Walton County that later became Barrow County. She was a daughter of the late John and Dora Fuller Green.
Mrs. Page was retired from Barrow Manufacturing Company and was a member of Winder First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Page, and a son, Billy G. Page.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 27, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Johnny Couch, Winder; two sisters, Johnnie Lou Lord and Pearl McDonald, both of Winder; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

MR. GEARING

BOGART - Roy E. Gearing, 56, diedWednesday, August 23, 2000.
A native of Clarke County, Mr. Gearing was a son of Louis Butler Gearing, Athens, and the late Martin Gearing.
He owned and operated Alps Shoe Repair and served as a past master of Mount Vernon Lodge 22.
Graveside services were held Friday, August 25, in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Elmer Butler officiaing.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Miriam Turner Gearing; one daughter, Teresa Forrest, Athens; two sons, Rick Hardy, Cary, N.C., and Ken Hardy, Asheville, N.C.; three sisters, Martha Bennett, Crawford, Janie Brown, Athens, and Patricia Hunter, Hull; two brothers, Pete Gearing, Winterville, and Charles Gearing, Jefferson; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews. WINDER - Mrs. Fellie Marie Allen, 84, diedFriday, August 25, 2000.
A native of Barrow County, Mrs. Allen was a daughter of the late Charlie and Lennie Mobley McDonald.
She had worked as a textile inspector and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. "Doc" Allen, a daughter, Joyce Hammond, and a son, Royce "Bud" W. Allen.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 28, in the chapel of Wise-Connolly Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Hewatt officiating. Burial was in the Union Baptist Church cemetery. Randall Allen, Robert Allen, Michael Hammond, Scott Hammond and J.R. Hammond served as pallbearers.
Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Hammond, Winder; one son, Russell Allen, Winder; one sister, Nettie Mae Nash, Winder; three brothers, Thomas McDonald, Winder, Charles McDonald, Statham, and Lincoln McDonald, Braselton; 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

JEFFERSON - Mrs. Helen Lucille Carlan McKinney, 70, diedTuesday, August 29, 2000, at Lakeshore Heights Nursing Home, Gainesville, following a brief illness.
Mrs. McKinney was bornin Franklin County, a daughter of the late Asbury and Nina Opal Ayers Carlan.
She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 31, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, with the Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. Burial will be in the Nails Creek Baptist Church cemetery, Carnesville.
Mrs. McKinney is survived by her husband, Frank McKinney; one son, Ronnie Sims, Vine Grove, Ky.; one daughter, Shelia S. Martin, Jefferson; two sisters, Linda Hanley, Ila, and Mary Ann Galloway, Homer; two brothers, Horace Carlan, Commerce, and Jerry Carlan, Homer; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family was to have received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

STATHAM - Mrs. Ruth F. Hardigree, 85, of Statham, formerly of Athens, diedMonday, August 28, 2000.
Mrs. Hardigree was bornin Madison County, a daughter of the late Dan and Anna Barber Fouche.
She was a retired beautician and was a member of Young Harris United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hardigree was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Hardigree, and nine brothers.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 30, in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Marsingill officiating.
Mrs. Hardigree is survived by one brother, Luther Fouche, Athens; and a number of nieces and nephews.

GAINESVILLE - Mrs. Elizabeth H. Curtis, 67, diedSaturday, August 26, 2000, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Curtis was bornJuly 18, 1933, in Manhattan, N.Y. She was a daughter of the late Maurice and Blanche Jandell Hall.
Mrs. Curtis was self-employed, having owned a Recreational Vehicles dealership.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Brenna and Keith Lindsey, Gainesville; daughter, Heather Curtis, Gainesville; three grandchildren, Chrystal Lamb, Curtis Lamb and Randy Lamb, all of Gainesville; and one great-grandchild, Tucker Austin, Gainesville.

Deward Cash
Deward Cash, 74, of Smyrna, diedFriday, August 25, 2000.
A native of Banks County, Mr. Cash moved to Cobb County in 1949.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was employed by National Linen Service for 36 years before retiring. Mr. Cash was a member of Smyrna Second Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 29, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home, Smyrna, with the Revs. Cecil Dutton and T.P. Johnston officiating. Burial was in the Nails Creek Baptist Church cemetery, Homer.
Mr. Cash is survived by his wife, Joyce R. Cash; four sons, Jerome Deward Cash, Canton, David Mark Cash, Homer, Samuel Gresham Cash, Athens, and John Reed Cash, Woodstock; four sisters, Sarah Vickery, Smyrna, Geneva Brewer and Revalee Ayers, both of Marietta, and Laverne Fletcher, Tallahassee; and 10 grandchildren.

Larrie Walter Hyatt, 51, of Homer, diedMonday, August 28, 2000, at Emory University Hospital following a brief illness.
Mr. Hyatt was bornOctober 14, 1948, in San Diego, Calif. He was a son of Stanley and Gail Hyatt, Homer.
Mr. Hyatt was employed with Statham Tire Co. in Snellville and was of the Baptist denomination.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 31, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Vaughn Howington Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Charity Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include one daughter, April Ann Hyatt, Colorado; one son, Stuart Stanley Hyatt, Des Moines, Iowa; and one brother, Timothy A. Hyatt, Sima Valley, Calif.
The family was to have received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

WINDER - Mrs. Susie Marell Little Gunter, 89, diedFriday, August 25, 2000.
Mrs. Gunter was bornin Jackson County, a daughter of the late Thomas Cleveland Banks and Lula Bell Reynolds Banks.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Buford.
Mrs. Gunter was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank D. Little, and her second husband, John T. Gunter.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 27, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. James Vickers and Ollie V. Hayes officiating. Burial was in the Union Baptist Church cemetery, Hall County.
Survivors include one son, the Rev. Edwin F. Little, Auburn; two sisters, Pauline Berry, Ft. Payne, Ala., and Catherine Troglin, Lawrenceville; one grandson, Mike Little, Statham; one granddaughter, Gina Whittaker, Suwanee; and five great-grandchildren.

COMMERCE - Mrs. Azalee Fulghum Stone, 93, diedFriday, May 19, 2000, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
Mrs. Stone was bornDecember 30, 1906, in Franklin County. She was a daughter of the late Manley and Ola Sewell Fulghum.
Mrs. Stone had lived most of her life in Stephens County, residing in Commerce for the past three years. She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, the Dorcas Sunday School class and the Ebenezer 220 Fellowship Club. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her husband, T. Bonner Stone, who passed away in 1971.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 21, at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Sosby, Larry King and Brad Wilson officiating. Burial was in Stephens Memorial Gardens. Terry Price, Gary Satterfield, Johnny Lawson, Ted Moore, Kenneth Sewell and Charlie Lanier served as pallbearers.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Moore, Commerce; one granddaughter, Lisa Moore, Lawrenceville; seven step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
