A native of Barrow County, Mr. Phillips was a son of Wayne and Sandra Phillips, Winder.
He had resided in the Winder area for most of his life and was employed as a sales representative with Delta Apparel. Mr. Phillips was a member of Pentecost United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roy Duncan and Edward "Bo" Phillips.
Funeral services were held Monday, February 28, at Mars Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Jones officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Fork Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Rebecca Bolton Phillips; one son, Duncan Phillips, Winder; maternal grandmother, Omie Duncan, Winder; paternal grandmother, Maxine Phillips, Hoschton; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Debby Bolton, Watkinsville.

COMMERCE - John Morris Jr., 25, diedThursday, February 24, 2000, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mr. Morris was bornJanuary 9, 1975, in Jackson County. He was a son of John Morris Sr., Jefferson, and Kathy Pace Morris.
Mr. Morris was employed with Alridge Inc.
Memorial services were held Saturday, February 26, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. David Ball officiating.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include one sister, Jennifer Kent, Maysville; and grandparents, John and Lois Morris, Commerce, and George Pace, Nicholson.

ATHENS - Hugh B. Hollis, 71, diedMonday, February 21, 2000.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Hollis was a son of the late Bertha Hollis.
He was a retired salesman with the RC Cola Company and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, February 23, in Evergreen Memorial Park with the Rev. Jamie Doster officiating.
Survivors include one son, Tracy Hollis Sr., Danielsville; two sisters, Ruby Hollis and Frances Hollis, both of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, W.D. Hollis; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

U.S. Army veteran
HOMER - Louis Bishop Jordan, 79, diedSunday, February 27, 2000, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mr. Jordan was a son of the late Luther C. and Lillie Bell White Jordan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in Europe where he was a Prisoner Of War.
Mr. Jordan was a retired inspector for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was a member of the Homer American Legion. He was of the Baptist denomination.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Scales Jordan.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 29, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. John Umberhant, Ralph O. Smith and Dayton Sosbee officiating. Burial was in Banks Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Simmons Jordan; one daughter, Carolyn Allen, Lakemont; four step-children, Clarice Sosbee and Miles John Bonds, both of Alto, Faye Dunagun, Gillsville, and Gaye Galloway, Baldwin; one brother, Weldon Jordan, Homer; two sisters, Mattie Jean Ayers, Commerce, and Joann Jordan, Jacksonville, Fla.; one granddaughter, Michelle Pelot, Birmingham, Ala.; and one grandson, Louis Phillip Pelot, Royston.

Mrs. Potter was bornin Gwinnett County, a daughter of the late J. Scott and Alice Moore Davis.
She had resided in Oconee County for the past 26 years and was a homemaker and a member of Bethabara Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 1, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Frank Johnson officiating. Burial was in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Tucker.
Survivors include her husband, S.T. Potter; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Harold E. Thompson, Katy, Texas, and Sherrill and Rex Long, Statham; one sister, Nellie Davis, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Laurey Long Tenglesen, Asheville, N.C., Mark Long, Bozeman, Mont., Jennifer Penland, Arlington, Texas, Don Thompson, Sterling, Va., and Ron Thompson, Dallas, Texas; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Niles was bornin Oglethorpe, the daughter of the late Katie Mae Hudson McKenley.
She received her education in Jackson County.
Mrs. Niles was preceded in death by a brother, Roosevelt McKenley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 26, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Commerce, with the Rev. Draco Brown officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Niles; three sons, Robert Niles and Leroy Niles, both of Commerce, and Willie Niles, Rome; one brother, Bruce T. Hudson, Hephziba; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

MILLEDGEVILLE - Jessie Lee Addington, 73, formerly of Hull, diedSunday, February 20, 2000.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Addington was a resident of the Georgia War Veterans Home. He was a son of the late Hubert Paul and Nancy Ledford Addington.
Mr. Addington was a veteran of the U.S. Merchant Marine, the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mable Pauline Scoggins.
Graveside services were held Friday, February 25, in Athens Memory Gardens with the Rev. Mike Hudman officiating.
Survivors include nieces, Marian Thomas, Colbert, and Kay S. Pickett, Pocataligo; nephew, Larry Scoggins, Danielsville; and 21 other nieces and nephews.
