Mrs. Oeline Strickland Bridges, 53, of Danielsville, diedThursday, June 14, 2001, at her residence.
Born in Madison County, Mrs. Bridges was a daughter of the late Obediah and Kathleen Alewine Strickland.
She was employed as a dieti-tian with Ila Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Strickland.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. David Strickland officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church cemetery. Wesley Bridges, Wade Bridges, Harry Wilson, Stuart Strickland, Lamar Bond and Mark Bridges served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Bridges is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Bridges, Danielsville; and several nieces and nephews.

James Patrick Sr.
James Clinton Patrick Sr., 54, of Colbert, diedFriday, June 15, 2001.
A native of Madison County, Mr. Patrick was a son of Mary Huff Scoggins and the late Raymond Patrick Sr.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 18, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Cecil Holcombe officiating. Burial was in the Colbert Cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Nancy Patrick; two daughters, Sherry Patrick Lavender, Monroe, and Christine Patrick, Colbert; four sons, David Patrick, James Patrick Jr., Ronnie Patrick and Donnie Patrick, all of Colbert; and one sister, Ethel Scoggins, Colbert.

E. McClain
The Rev. Jarrett E. McClain, 75, of Colbert, diedThursday, June 14, 2001.
A native of Clarke County, Mr. McClain was a son of the late James Frank and Odessa Brooks McClain.
He was a World War II veteran and was a retired minister. Mr. McClain was a member of the First Apolistic Church of Bishop.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Kenith McClain.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home, Athens, with the Revs. Curtis Lee Hammond and G. Hubert Hammond officiating. Burial was in the Grove Chapel Congregational Holiness Church cemetery. Bobby McClain, Wayne McClain, Ricky McClain, James McClain, Michael McClain and Jeff Hammond served as pallbearers.
Survivors include three daughters, Dessa M. McClain, Colbert, Sherry L. Hand, Anderson, S.C., and Crissy Sims, Comer; one son, Terry Scott McClain, Colbert; four sisters, Mary A. Fiveash, Crawford, Allie Lou Pollock, Green Cove Springs, Fla., Patsy Nell McClain, Hull, and Hazel Huss, Champaign, Ill.; one brother, Florence J. "Skeet" McClain, Augusta; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Frances D. Benton
Mrs. Frances Dora Benton, 80, of Colbert, diedSaturday, June 16, 2001.
Born in Sanana, Texas, Mrs. Benton was a daughter of the late Foster and Ina Crossnae Watts.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Colbert United Methodist Church. Mrs. Benton was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Benton, and a son, Sammy Benton.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Rev. Grady Wigley and James Haralson officiating. Burial was in Colbert Cemetery. Charles Parr, Will Whaley, Leroy Parr, Tommy Simmons, Matthew Porterfield and Crosby Head served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Benton is survived by one son, Chris Benton, Colbert; one sister, Alvone Penn; and four grandchildren.

Albert M. Wilson
Albert Millard Wilson, 80, of Athens, diedTuesday, June 19, 2001.
Born in Washington County, Tenn., Mr. Wilson was a son of the late Charlie Wilson and Rachael Rice Wilson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was owner of Wilson T.V. & Appliance Co. Mr. Wilson was of the Methodist denomination.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Lee McGalliard Wilson, and a son, John Albert Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, West, with the Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet Seagraves, Hull; one son, Joseph Wesley Wilson, Hull; two brothers, Deadrick Wilson, Tullahoma, Tenn., and Robert Wilson, Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stephenson was bornApril 11, 1959, in Jackson County. He was a son of Leon and Frances Cowart Stephenson, Commerce.
Mr. Stephenson was employed with Roper Pump Company. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Johnnie Sue and Odell Stephenson.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Mr. Stephenson is survived by his wife, Tammy Reed Stephenson, Commerce; two sons, Michael Reed and Bobby Stephenson, both of Commerce; and two brothers, Josh Stephenson, Danielsville, and Mickey Stephenson, Commerce.

A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Dalton was a daughter of the late Clyde Marcus and Christine Dalton Cobb.
She had lived in the Colbert area for the last 40 years and was of the Baptist denomination.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville. Burial was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Dalton is survived by her husband, Charles William Dalton; one daughter, Emma Diane Sorrow, Colbert; one son, Charles Eugene Dalton, Colbert; one brother, Donald Edward Cobb, New York; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Margaret Alice Hutchens, 74, of Royston, diedSaturday, August 11, 2001.
Mrs. Hutchens was bornin Kriens, Switzerland, a daughter of the late Fritz and Maria Albisser Marti.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, with Father Kane officiating.
Mrs. Hutchens is survived by her husband, Wayne Hutchens; daughter and son-in-law, Martie Hutchens and Herschel Mize, Colbert; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne Hutchens Jr. and Ann Salton Hutchens, Newport Richey, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Marc and Eric Hutchens.

Annie B. Davis
Mrs. Annie Bell Queen Davis, 81, of Statham, diedThursday, August 9, 2001, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Davis was a daughter of the late Henry and Anna Fuller Queen. She was retired from R & R Manufacturing Company, with 40 years of service, and was a member of the Statham First Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis assisted the elderly in her community by helping and delivering meals to them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Davis.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, in Smith Memory Chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Winder, with the Revs. Ned Davis and Robert Stamey officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Davis, Winder, James E. Davis, Royston, and Larry Davis, Gainesville; three daughters, Ruby Lee Parten, Winder, Clara "C.J." Browning, Danielsville, and Jenet Meeks, Hoschton; one sister, Ruth Thrasher, Farmington; 25 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

John B. Parker
John Bunyan (J.B.) Parker, 93, of Ellijay, diedFriday, August 10, 2001, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Parker was bornSeptember 16, 1907, in Gilmer County, a son of the late Milford and Mary Jane Weaver Parker. He was marriedto the late Opal Pettit Parker.
Mr. Parker taught school in a one-room schoolhouse with seven grades and worked for the Soil Conservation Service. He was active in Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as clerk and deacon for 60 years.
Mr. Parker was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Parker Moore.
He will be remembered for the contributions he made to improving the community and expanding the vision of those he taught, family members stated.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 12, at Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church with Elders Edward Cagle, Lawrence Mooney and Paul Mooney officiating. Singing was presented by the church choir. Burial was in the church cemetery. Jack Chandler, Terry Chandler, Rodney Chandler, Phillip Parker, Hassel Parker Jr. and Adam Parker served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Cynthia Childs, Linda Lamb, Karen Griffin, Denise Edwards, Danita Johnson, Cheryl Lundquist, Janet Wozniak and Lydia Parker.
Survivors include five sons, J. Harold Parker, Florence, Ala., Hassel Parker, Winston-Salem, N.C., Howard J. Parker, Dalton, Hubert B. Parker, Blue Ridge, and Ruel M. Parker, Covington; daughter, Mildred Parker Chandler, Hull; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
