COMMERCE - Phillip Bruce Shrader, 62, died Monday, January 3, 2000, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
Mr. Shrader was born September 30, 1937, in Tazewell County, Va. He was a son of the late Homer and Mary Virginia Wilburn Shrader.
Mr. Shrader was a painter.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 5, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Jewell Burney Shrader; two sons, Michael Hart, Brookhaven, and Phillip Bruce Shrader Jr., Lawrenceville; one daughter, Lynn Cox, Snellville; five brothers, Bill Shrader, Ohio, Daniel Shrader, Decatur, Dorn Shrader, Virginia, Jinks Shrader, Florida, and Sonny Shrader, Eatonton; one sister, Dorothy Atkins, Nitro, W.Va.; and two grandchildren.

MR. FAULKNER
Banks County native
HOMER - George Faulkner, 73, died Wednesday, December 29, 1999.
A native of Banks County, Mr. Faulkner was a son of the late Odell and Alice Richie Faulkner.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 1, 2000, at Neals Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Fred Wilson, pastor of Homer First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Homer First Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Dorine Gaither Faulkner; eleven sons, David Faulkner, George Faulkner, Arthur Faulkner and Ronald Faulkner, all of Commerce, and James Faulkner, Swayne Faulkner, Waymon Faulkner, Tommy Faulkner, John Faulkner, Bobby Faulkner and Johnny Faulkner, all of Homer; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Neal, Mrs. Lillie Mae Richie and Mrs. Margie F. Richie, all of Homer; one brother, Thomas Faulkner, Homer; 31 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mollie L. Pearson
Mrs. Mollie L. Pearson, 74, of Royston, died Tuesday, September 26, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Pearson was born March 9, 1926, in Madison County, a daughter of the late Henry Lee and Priscilla Fendora Simmonds Smith.
She had worked at Oxford and was retired from Johnson and Johnson. Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by a brother, James Smith, and a sister, Fannie Reaves.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 29, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with the Rev. Marvin Whitworth and Dr. Danny Barton officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memorial Gardens, South. Mrs. Pearson's nephews served as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur L. Pearson, Royston; two daughters, Bobbi Bowen, Danielsville, and Sandy Strickland, Lavonia; one son, Arthur Lee "Buster" Pearson, Danielsville; one sister, Lillie Lowe, Danielsville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Charles R. Domingue
Charles Ray Domingue, 53, of Nicholson, died Monday, September 25, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Domingue was born November 19, 1946, in Tucker, a son of Louise Ragsdale Domingue, Commerce, and the late Paul Domingue.
He was a truck driver and was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 28, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, with Pastor Jerry Willard officiating. Graveside services were held in Sugar Hill Cemetery, Buford.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Ginger Yvone Domingue; one step-son, Tony Antill, Buford; three brothers, Wayne Domingue, Commerce, Billy Domingue, Russellville, Ala., and Michael Wyrick, Buford; three sisters, Martha "Toad" Domingue, Nicholson, Theresa Moore, Buford, and Margie Moralis, Ila; and two grandchildren.

MR. OGLESBY
U.S. Army veteran
PENDERGRASS - Melvin Delano Oglesby, 66, died Saturday, December 9, 2000, at Alzheimer's Care Center of Commerce following an extended illness.
Mr. Oglesby was born in Meadville, Miss., a son of the late James Demann Oglesby Sr. and Nina Brown Oglesby.
He was a retired U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, and was retired from Jackson Electric Membership Corporation. Mr. Oglesby was a member of Talmo Baptist Church, where he served as deacon emeritus and taught Sunday School. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Oglesby was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Oglesby Presley, and a brother, Myron Oglesby.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 12, at Talmo Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Burt, Chad Rising and Woody Parrish officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Charles Jenkins, Joe Kinney, Luther Wilkes, Ed Oldham, R.L. Griffeth and Scotty Brooks served as pallbearers.
Mr. Oglesby is survived by his wife, Woodie Murphy Oglesby, Pendergrass; daughter and son-in-law, Julie Oglesby Allen and Chris Allen, Dahlonega; daughter, Mindy Oglesby, Atlanta; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. and Joyce Oglesby, Arlington, Texas, Glen and Ida Faye Oglesby, St. Cloud, Fla., and Lenox and Bobbie Oglesby, Memphis, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Lee Presley, Pottscamp, Miss.; and one granddaughter, Amelia Allen, Dahlonega.

MAYSVILLE - Lewis H. Maddox, 79, died Wednesday, December 6, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Maddox was born July 30, 1921, a son of the late Dan and Annie McDaniel Maddox.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 9, at Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Maddox is survived by his wife, Louise Maddox, Maysville; one daughter, Mary Skelton, Maysville; one brother, Clifford Maddox, Buford; one sister, Lelia Morrison, Buford; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

COMMERCE - Mrs. Dartha Nora Martin Waldroup, 73, died Saturday, December 9, 2000, at her residence.
Mrs. Waldroup was born December 29, 1926, in Oconee County, S.C. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Ethel Henderson Martin.
Mrs. Waldroup was a homemaker and a member of Center Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Telford Minish, and her second husband, Bill Waldroup.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 10, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Terry James officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Minish, Nicholson, and Parris Minish, Danielsville; one daughter, Linda Ingram, Nicholson; two brothers, Clayton Martin, Atlanta, and J.L. Martin, Lula; one sister, Uree Sears, Anderson, S.C.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

World War II veteran
BALDWIN - Louie J. Caudell, 80, died Tuesday, December 5, 2000, at a private nursing home following an extended illness.
Mr. Caudell was born August 17, 1920, in Banks County, a son of the late Pitner L. and Decie Coker Caudell.
He was retired from Lumite Corporation as a beamer operator, with 27 1/2 years service, and was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Mr. Caudell was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and was a member of Grant Reeves Post #7720, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 8, in Whitfield Funeral Home's South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Revs. Roy Rogers and Gene Todd officiating. Burial was in the Damascus Baptist Church cemetery.
Mr. Caudell is survived by his wife, Martha Gary Caudell, Baldwin; daughter and son-in-law, Patti Y. and Scottie Chambers, Clermont; son and daughter-in-law, Stacy W. and Kathy Caudell, Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Rothell C. Caudell, Baldwin; four sisters, Christine Ivester, Cornelia, Bernice Andrews, Dewy Rose, and Doris Comer and Bonnie Goza, both of Tucker; two brothers, John Caudell, Atlanta, and Wayne Caudell, Jefferson; and two grandchildren, Joy C. Chambers, Boston, Mass., and Dana M. Chambers, Clermont.

JEFFERSON - Mrs. Julia Redd Lentz, 86, died Sunday, December 10, 2000, at BJC Nursing Home, Commerce, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Lentz was born June 26, 1914, in Banks County, a daughter of the late Charles Redd and Leah Jane O'Donald.
She was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Jefferson. Mrs. Lentz was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lentz, two brothers, William Redd and Thurmond Redd, and four sisters, Berma Lou Tucker, Azalee Ingram, Sue Williamson and Nelle Eller.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 11, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, with the Revs. Asa Thomas and Hulon Hill officiating. Burial was in the Bethany United Methodist Church cemetery.
Survivors include three sisters, Mozelle Ayers and Nola Hulm, both of Jefferson, and Joanne Bradberry, Braselton; two brothers, Charles Redd Jr., Rex, and Ellis Redd, Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.

COMMERCE - Mrs. Reed Wood Martin, 94, died Sunday, December 10, 2000, at Lilburn Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Martin was born December 6, 1906, a daughter of the late De and Sally Smith Wood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sharp Martin.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 12, at Madison Street Baptist Church with the Rev. David Harbin officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Survivors include one son, D. Woodie Martin, Lilburn; one daughter, Nellie Jo Hubbard, Atlanta; one brother, R.J. Wood, Hartwell; one sister, Ethel Minish, Commerce; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
