Otis Lee Robinson, 64, of Athens, died Thursday, January 6, 2000.
Mr. Robinson was a native of Madison County. He worked as a custodian at Cedar Shoals High School.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 10, at the First St. Paul Baptist Church, Appalachee. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sallie Robinson; daughter, Mattie Robinson, Athens; daughter and son-in-law, Linda R. and Skip Taylor, Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Ivan "Sugar" and Glenda Robinson, Athens; sons, Jeff Robinson, Athens, and Donnie Ellington, Bostwick; his mother, Bessie Robinson, Athens; three sisters, Barbara Smith, Atlanta, Carolyn Robinson, Baxley, and Marilyn Robinson, Appalachee; brother and sister-in-law, Bart "Cokey" and Chris Robinson, Baxley; brothers, Randolph Peterkin and L.C. Peoples, both of Madison, and Sonny Robinson, Atlanta; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Jackson County native
BOGART - Mrs. Mary Frances Childs Maddox, 61, died Saturday, June 3, 2000.
Mrs. Maddox was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late James Willie and Lenora Hendrix Childs.
Mrs. Maddox was a retired lab tech with the University of Georgia, with 24 years of service, and was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Happy Trails Art Club, Chestnut Mountain, and a member of the Athens Antique Car Club.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 5, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, with the Revs. Elmer Butler and Buford Lockman officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park. Mrs. Maddox's nephews served as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Gearld Maddox; one daughter, Susan Swinford, Athens; one son, Michael Maddox, Athens; one sister, Nettie Bradshaw, Jefferson; two brothers, Raymond Childs, Hull, and Otis Childs, Athens; and three grandchildren, Thomas and Jay Swinford and Travis Maddox.

ATHENS - Mrs. Mae P. Williams, 98, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at her residence.
Mrs. Williams was born December 2, 1901, in Homer. She was a daughter of the late George Marion and Elizabeth Mayes Patterson.
Mrs. Williams was the owner of a retail dress store and was co-founder of Williams Dress Shops, founded in 1924. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Wesley Williams, and a son, Marion Wesley Williams.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Donald Wilson officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. Dr. Lewis Williams, Alfred Pete Williams, Olan Garrison, Gene McWinburn, Ronald Hanley, George Patterson Williams Jr., Leroy Langford, Walter Langford and Milton Patterson served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Williams is survived by one son, Dr. George Patterson Williams, Augusta; one daughter, Peggy Deweese, Athens; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Clarke County native
ATHENS - Ronnie Paul Craft, 38, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000.
A native of Clarke County, Mr. Craft was a son of Marvin Dennis and Mary Agnes Self Craft, Bishop.
He made his home in the counties surrounding Athens and had been employed with Armour Plumbing for several years.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home, Athens, with the Rev. James McDonald officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Malinda Lee Ridgeway Craft; one daughter, Kadie Craft, Athens; one son, Anthony Craft, Athens; two sisters, Connie Fowler, Crawford, and Janet Marx, Bogart; one brother, Dennis Craft, Bogart; and a number of nieces and nephews.

ATHENS - Mrs. Brenda Wills Gunter, 54, died Sunday, June 4, 2000.
A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Gunter was a daughter of the late James David and Annie Mae Willoughby Wills.
She was employed with Village Drug Shop for 10 years and was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 6, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Revs. Buford Lockman and Curtis Hammond officiating. Burial was in the Colbert Cemetery. Tony Willoughby, Caleb Elder, Wesley Elder, Randy Taylor, Keith Chapman, James Claxton, Nelson Callway and Chris Thurmond served as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Gunter; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Samuel Craven, Marble Hill; one sister, Sandra Patridge, Winterville; four nephews, Lanier Patridge, Daryl Patridge, Ray McElreath and James McElreath Jr.; one niece, Jean McElreath; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Mrs. Eunice Ayers Guillanoff, 89, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000.
Mrs. Guillanoff was born August 1, 1910 in Franklin County. She was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dora Moore Ayers.
Mrs. Guillanoff had been employed as a waitress.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Paul Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Mount Zion Christian Church cemetery.
Mrs. Guillanoff is survived by a nephew, Talmadge Ayers, Carnesville; and a number of other nephews and nieces.

BRASELTON - Mrs. Sarah S. Padgett, 74, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000.
Mrs. Padgett was retired from Scientific Atlanta, with 12 years of service, and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Oakwood.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Burial was in Peachtree Memorial Park, Norcross.

Born in Barrow County, Mrs. Howington was a daughter of the late John and Cora Mae Maffett Stewart.
She was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Howington was preceded in death by her husband, Stoy Howington.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 5, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder, with the Rev. Robert Whitehead officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dickey and Carolyn Howington, Morganton, and Danny and Hilda Howington, Morrow; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

DAHLONEGA - Mrs. Cora E. Grizzle, 61, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at her residence, following a brief period of declining health.
A native and former resident of White County, Mrs. Grizzle was a daughter of the late Riley and Era Ruth Gilleland Pruitt. She had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 42 years.
Mrs. Grizzle had been employed by the Lumpkin County School System and was a member of the Dahlonega Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Thomas.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 2, at Cavenders Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Dean Bryant, Stephen Adams and Jerry Abercrombie officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Grizzle; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and Toby Grizzle, Dahlonega, daughter, Judy Ligon, Dahlonega; one step-son, Lamar Grizzle, Dahlonega; two sisters, Mary Lou Hubbell, Waterford, Mich., and Evelyn Thomas, Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Eloise Pruitt, Cleveland, and R.L. Pruitt, Pendergrass; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Ira E. Hill
Ira E. Hill, 90, of Charlotte, N.C., died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at Carolinas Medical Center.
Mr. Hill was born April 15, 1910, in Homer, a son of the late James Newton Hill and Emma Louise Whelchel Hill.
He was a graduate of Banks County High School, Homer, and was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Hill retired in 1975 as chief freight office clerk, after working for Southern Railway for 47 years. At Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church, Charlotte, N.C., he was a member of the Frazier Sunday School Class and the Senior Mallards.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 23, at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church with the Rev. George W. Jacobs officiating. Burial was in Sharon Memorial Park. Ray, Donnie, Craven and Martin Buster Oehler, Bill Kirk and Dan Giles served as pallbearers. Members of the Frazier Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Kay A. and Jim Thomason, Simpsonville, S.C.; two sisters, Ruby Henderson, Columbus, and Mildred Lanham, Covelo, Calif.; three grandsons, Jeff, David and Andy Grice; and five great-grandchildren.
