GAINESVILLE - Mrs. Guynell Wilson Cheatham Myers, 75, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at Lanier Park Hospital, Gainesville.
Mrs. Myers was born January 23, 1925, in Banks County. She was a daughter of the late John C. Wilson and Ella Mae McElreath.
Mrs. Myers was a retired retail clerk and was a member of Oconee Baptist Church, Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer C. Myers, a son, Clarence Cheatham Jr., two brothers, John C. Wilson and Woodrow Wilson, and two sisters, Lucy Smallwood and Sarah Jackson.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 12, in the chapel of Jackson Funeral Home, Jefferson, with the Rev. Billy Fowler officiating. Burial was in the Oconee Baptist Church cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy N. Eubanks, Gainesville; grandchildren, George Eubanks Jr., Dahlonega, and Tracey, Chris and Kevin Eubanks, all of Gainesville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Julie and Greg Martin, Commerce; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

MAYSVILLE - Jimmy Hamilton Collins, 64, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at his residence.
Mr. Collins was born October 17, 1935, in Jackson County. He was a son of Charles E. and Faye Tucker Collins, Commerce.
Mr. Collins was a retired auditor and a member of Madison Street Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Anne Collins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 14, at Madison Street Baptist Church with the Rev. David Harbin officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sandra Carter Collins; two sons, Jay Hamilton Collins, Atlanta, and Jimmy David Collins, Ila; one daughter, Robin Renee Scoggins, Ila; two step-sons, Casey Evans, Maysville, and Edward Chuck Evans, Gainesville; one sister, Charla Lowe, Commerce; a foster brother, Gerald Mullins, Redding, Calif.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

CORNELIA - Roger Welton Hayes, 58, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Lanier Park Hospital, Gainesville.
Mr. Hayes was born May 1, 1942, in Stephens County. He was a son of Woodrow and Hazel Westmoreland Hayes, Norcross.
Mr. Hayes was a service technician for the poultry industry and a member of Baldwin Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Revs. Ed Aiken and Jentezen Franklin officiating. Burial was in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Joyce Dover Hayes; sons and daughters-in-law, Allan and Michelle Hayes, Atlanta, David and Jill Hayes, Cornelia, and Brian and Christy Hayes, Flowery Branch; sons, Greg Hayes, Atlanta, and Brad Hayes, New York; two brothers, Philip Hayes and Mark Hayes, both of Buford; and nine grandchildren.

MARIETTA - Mrs. Estella R. Morris, 73, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000.
Mrs. Morris was a former resident of Banks County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Thomas Morris.
Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, June 12, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. James Caffrey officiating. Burial was in Banks County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Morris is survived by one daughter, Ann Deaver, Marietta; one sister, Kathleen Cooney, Philadelphia, Pa.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MAYSVILLE - Mrs. Josephine Redmon Carlan, 81, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mrs. Carlan was born March 1, 1919, in Banks County. She was a daughter of the late George Wiley and Leaner Baker Redmon.
Mrs. Carlan was a homemaker and a member of Grove Level Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walton Oliver Carlan.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 14, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Swayne Carlan and Jeff Appling officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Survivors include three sons, James Carlan, Winterville, Jimmy Carlan, Homer, and Larry Carlan, Maysville; three sisters, Ruby Bales, Imogene Redmon and Viola Redmon, all of Maysville; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

COMMERCE - Amos Earl "Rusty" Faulkner, 70, died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Faulkner was born July 31, 1929, in Jackson County. He was a son of the late Patrick S. and Essie Porter Faulkner.
Mr. Faulkner was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War, and was retired from Delta Airlines. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a member of Hudson Lodge #294 F&AM.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 11, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Carlton Peters officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors include his wife, Jestean Minish Faulkner; two sons, Greg Faulkner, McDonough, and Patrick Faulkner, Monroe; one daughter, Diane Smith, Athens; one brother, M.S. Faulkner, Snellville; one sister, Florence Voyles, Commerce; and five grandchildren.

COMMERCE - Mrs. Sadie Marrett Wilbanks, 88, died Thursday, August 17, 2000, at her residence.
Mrs. Wilbanks was born January 16, 1912, in Fulton County. She was a daughter of the late Millard and Etta Brown Marrett.
Mrs. Wilbanks was retired from General Times and was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoke D. Wilbanks, and a daughter, Nancy Altice.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 19, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. David Strickland officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors include two sons, Benny Wilbanks, Athens, and Billy Wilbanks, Commerce; one daughter, Betty Wilson, Fort Mill, S.C.; four brothers, Charles M. Marrett, Atlanta, Joseph Marrett, Conyers, Millard Marrett Jr., Alabama, and Thomas Watson Marrett, Lafayette; three sisters, Inez Davis, Jasper, Nannie Lou Gunn, Clarkesville, and Ola Leikert, Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

COMMERCE - Mrs. Bernice Tolbert Brock, 77, died Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at BJC Medical Center, Commerce.
Mrs. Brock was born November 25, 1922, in Jackson County. She was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Allie Hawks Tolbert.
Mrs. Brock had been formerly employed as a clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Brock, two sons, Danny and Nicky Brock, and a grandson, Jeff Parson.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 18, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Mrs. Brock is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Parson, Lawrenceville; one sister, Bonnie Evans, Commerce; and two grandchildren.

CENTER - Arch C. Mitchell, 69, died Monday, August 21, 2000.
A native of Rhea County, Tenn., Mr. Mitchell was a son of the late A.C. and Marchie Bledsoe Mitchell.
He was retired from Vera Tec and was a faithful member of the Congregation of Victory Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 24, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Elmer Butler and Henry Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Nicholson Cemetery.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Helen J. Leffew Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Shirley Mitchell, Athens, daughter and son-in-law, Christy Mitchell and Kirk Skipper, Nicholson; four brothers, Jack Mitchell, Newt Mitchell, Paul Mitchell and Burch Mitchell, all of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Ann Pitts, Chattanooga, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Stephanie Mitchell, Lawrenceville, Breanna and Tyler Skipper, both of Nicholson, Teresa Harness, Jefferson, and Greg Dean, Winder.
The family was to have received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

CUMMING - Mrs. Crystal Hutchins, 23, died Sunday, August 20, 2000.
A native of Hall County, Mrs. Hutchins was a daughter of Don Roy, Jefferson, and Connie Roy, Auburn.
She was a former resident of Barrow County and was employed as a customer service representative with Off Saks Fifth Avenue.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 23, in the chapel of Carter Funeral Home, Winder.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hutchins is survived by her husband, Jeff Hutchins; one son, Joesph Michael Hughes, Cumming; three step-sons, Zacahary Ryan Hutchins, Cameron Martin Hutchins and Spencer Liner Hutchins, all of Buford; one brother, Bill Roy, Jefferson; two step-brothers, Ryan Roy and Jason Roy, both of Jefferson; and grandparents, Johnny and Sue Strickland, Auburn.
