Mrs. Elizabeth King Davis age 88 of Blairsville formerly of Flat Creek Circle Blue Ridge where she lived for over thirty years, moving there from Miami, FL, passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2007 following an extended illness. Mrs. Davis was born on Oct. 6.1918 in Winchester, KY., the daughter of the late Clay King and the late Francis Rawlins King.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jenson C. Davis and by a daughter, Dorothy Diane Davis in 1993.She volunteer’s as a Pink Lady at Fannin Regional Hospital for over twenty years. Mrs. Davis was of the Christian faith.
Surviving Mrs. Davis are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Norman and Eunice (June) Davis of Blairsville, James C. Davis of Atlanta, GA, one daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Albert Perez of Arlington, TX, one brother and sister-in-law, one brother and sister-in-law, Clay and Mary King of Hernando, FL, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 7, 2007 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Cline officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Norman Davis Jr., Michael Davis, Clint Leatherman, Clay King, Albert Perez and Tom Heiden. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park Cemetery in Blue Ridge. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm.

RANDALL MACK JOHN BEAVER
Mr. Randall Mack John Beaver age 67 of Lake Cove Lodge rd. Blairsville passed away on Thursday May 31, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Beaver was born on Dec. 21, 1939 in Union County, the son of the late Ernest Beaver and the late Vestie Thomas Beaver. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elvie Odom and Inez MaGaha, two brothers, Press and Kermit Beaver. Mr. Beaver was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Beaver are his loving wife of forty seven years, Mary (Maggie) Abernathy Beaver of Blairsville, three daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Charles Wright of Blairsville, Belinda and Mark Cash of Alburn, GA, Geraldine and Gregory Boyer of Port St. John, FL, one sister, Birdie Davenport of Morganton, one brother and sister-in-law, J. L. (Loys) and Carolyn Beaver of Blairsville, four grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jonathan Head, Joni and Ed Carney, Vanessa Hilton, three great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Reba and Zachary Carney, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 3:00pm from the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Rogers, Rev. Evan Hughes and Rev. Wayland Lovine officiating. Special music will be presented by the Heavenly Echoes. Mr. Beaver will lie in state at the church from 2-3pm prior to the service. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Terry, Tim, Brian and Chris Beaver, Kenny Chastain and Danny Davenport. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9pm.

DOROTHY ELIZABETH BUCHANAN
Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Buchanan age 89 of Sky Hawk Mountain Rd. Hiawassee formerly of Lake Shore Drive, Canal Point, FL, passed away on Thursday Oct. 5, 2006 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Buchanan was born on Oct. 6, 1917 in Lynchburg, VA, The daughter of the late Eugene Boyce Shearer and the late Sarah Elizabeth Fralin Shearer. She retired in 1983 with over thirty five years of service with the United States Sugar Corporation. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Shearer and a sister, Katherine Shearer Messer. Mrs. Buchanan was a member of the Canal Point United Methodist Church for over seventy five years.
Surviving Mrs. Buchanan are one daughter, Judith Buchanan of Hiawassee, one son and daughter-in-law, Kendrick E. and Nancy Buchanan of Loxahatchee, FL, five grandchildren, Ken and Annie Norman of Marietta, GA, Mike and Denise Norman of Cumming, GA, Karen Buchanan and Craig Sargent of Palm Springs, FL, Kay Buchanan of Sheboygan, WI., Konnie and Chris Keena of Tallahassee, FL, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday Oct. 11, 2006 at 11:00am from the Lake Worth Memory Gardens cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. with the Rev. Jackie McMillan officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, The family requests that memorials may be made to Regency Hospice of Hiawassee in Mrs. Buchanan’s memory. The family will meet with friends following the services.

WINONA MARY "BARBARA" ROGERS
Mrs. Winona Barbara Rogers age 72 of Chapman Ford Rd. Blairsville passed away on Monday Oct. 9, 2006 in the Fannin Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Rogers was born on Jan.24, 1934 in Rose Bud, SD., The daughter of the late Owen Phillip Young and the late Eva Roubideuy Young. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty two years, Eugene (better known as Gene) Rogers who passed away on April 7, 2006, two sons, Ricky Rogers in 2006 and Wayne Rogers in 1987, two brothers, Owen Young Jr. and Alex Lundermen, and a sister, Louella Young. Mrs. Rogers was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving Mrs. Rogers are two daughters and sons-in-law, Verna and Ricky Vincent of Forest Park, GA, Janet and Jeff King of Blue Ridge, three sons and two daughters-in-law, William and Glenda Peck of Douglasville, Michael Rogers of Seattle, WA., Pat and Laura Hacker of Kennesaw, three brothers, Sylvester Young of Rose Bud, SD., Wayne Young of Blairsville and Dwight Young of Houston, TX, seven grandchildren, Chase, Nicky, Christy, Krystal, Tracey, Jason and Jonathon, four grandchildren, Brandy, Brittney, Courtney and Clint Jr., many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October, 11, 2006 at 1:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. William Sisum officiating. GRADY WARREN
Mr. Grady Warren age 88 of Mt. Pleasant Church Rd. Blairsville passed away on Friday Oct. 20, 2006 in the Clay County Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mr. Warren was born on Dec. 29, 1917 in Union County, The son of the late Dallas Warren and the late Julie Grizzle Warren. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by a son Jerry Warren and a daughter, Joy Dean Warren, brothers and sisters, Ruth Holcombe, Ralph Warren, Clifford Warren and Lea Ford Warren. Mr. Warren was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Warren are his loving wife of sixty nine years, Vonnie Lou Warren, two daughters and one son-in-law, Eulene and Evon Deaver of Blairsville, Shirley Blankenship of Bonita Springs, FL, two sons, Monroe Warren of Murphy, NC, James Richard Warren of Blairsville, one brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Thelma Warren of WA., three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Geneva DeFolco of Canton, OH, Della and Bill Bowers of Mineral Bluff, GA, Stella and Ben Shell of Idaho, two sister-in-laws, Grovie Warren of Suches, Lillie Warren of Blairsville, Nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ronald Broadhead officiating. The following gentleman served as pallbearers, Bryan Plott, Lowell Martin, Eric Hughes, Kevin Warren, Tim Blankenship and Ronnie Davis. Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

MARIE BROWN
Mrs. Marie Brown age 81 of Still Meadow Ct. Young Harris passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Brown was born on Oct. 3, 1925 in Louisbiurg, TN., the daughter of the late Willie Wall and the late Bessie Allen Wall. She had retired from the State of Tennessee Government after several years of services. She was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Clark in 2005.Mrs.Brown attended Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Brown are one daughter and son-in-law, Sharee and Gary Precanico of Hollywood, FL, one grandson, Scott and Ellen Stephens of Young Harris, three great-grandchildren, Austin, Alexis and Skyler, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday March 27, 2007 at 10:00am from the Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville, TN. with the Rev. David Wall officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Brown’s memory.

FRED HARVEY WALL

Mr. Fred Harvey Wall, age 67 of Ramey Mtn., Hiawassee, GA, formerly of Deltona Fl., passed away on Friday, March 30, 2007. Fred was born on Oct. 28, 1939, in Warrick, NY, the son of late Fred Bryce Wall and the late Lois Bender Wall. Fred was a veteran of the US Army and served in Turkey throughout the Vietnam War. Fred received a Bachelors degree from Franklin and Marshal College in Pennsylvania and a Masters degree from the University of Miami in Florida. Fred enjoyed collecting coins, gardening, camping, boating, observing nature and reading. Fred's main passion was following the stock market. When Fred lived in Homestead, Fl. he owned and maintained a lime grove. Fred also had been a member of the Cotillian Dance Club and the Civitan Club. Fred was a teacher for over 30 years and taught Junior High School English and History and couched various sports. For most of his career, Fred taught at Redland Middle School. Fred attended Sharp Memorial Methodist Church.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Susan Warren Wall of Hiawassee, one daughter, Elizabeth Wall Bowers of Miami, Fl., one son, Mark Edward Wall of Hayesville, NC, 6 grandchildren - Zachary, Brianna, Kayla, Lena, Sophia, and Bryce, son-in-law, Anthony Bowers, and daughter-in-law, Annette Wall.
A memorial service will be held at their home. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in Fred's memory.

Mrs. Lynn McCormack Stultz age 75 of Kendrick Rd. Blairsville formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away on Saturday March 31, 2007 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Stultz was born on April 17, 1931 in Covina, CA, the daughter of the late Roy McCormack and the late Gladys Dilley McCormack. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Mrs. Stultz attended the Blairsville Christian Center.
Surviving Mrs. Stultz are her loving husband of fifty eight years, Richard Stultz of Blairsville, three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Ginny Stultz of WA., Christopher and Jacqueline Stultz of Margate, FL, Timothy and Carolyn Stultz of Boca Raton, FL, five daughters and four sons-in-law, Linda and Joseph Nickerson of Blairsville, Sandra and Frank Loya of Blairsville, Teresa and Jorge Correa of Pasadena, CA, Mary Stultz of Pasadena, CA, Rita and Barry Van Beers of Blairsville, twenty three grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Monday April 2, 2007 at 4:00pm from the Blairsville Christian Center with Pastor Wofford Kelley and Pastor Chris Stultz officiating. Special music will be presented by Sarah Kelley. Mrs. Ruby Mae Brown age 84 of Gainesville Hwy Blairsville passed away on Thursday March 29, 2007 in the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Brown was born on Oct. 31, 1922 in Towns County, the daughter of the late Mark Moore and the late Emma Hunter Moore. She was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Gordon in 2004.Mrs.Brown was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Brown are two daughters, Jozene King of Blairsville, Darla Norton of Blairsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Charlene Brown of Stockbridge, GA, two brothers and one sister-in-law, W. G. and Lilly Moore of Eatonton, GA, Vaughn Moore of Blairsville, five grandchildren, Tammy Arp of Myrtle Beach, SC., Cody Norton, Sheila Cash, Sherrie Stover and Sheryl Copeland all of Blairsville, six great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

HENRY JACKSON ROUNTREE
Mr. Henry Jackson Rountree age 75 of Skeenah Gap Rd. Suches, formerly of Buckhead, GA. passed away on Thursday Aug. 17, 2006 following an extended illness. Mr. Rountree was born on Sept. 30, 1930 in Atlanta, GA, The son of the late Claude Rountree and the late Edith Jackson Rountree. He was a successful self employed Optician in Atlanta for over forty years. He served in the Navy, Umpired professional and collegiate baseball and was the first inductee of the NCAA Baseball Umpires Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM. Mr. Rountree was a member of Coosa Methodist church.
Surviving Mr. Rountree are his loving wife of twenty four years, Jane Isbell Rountree of Suches, two daughters and one son-in-law, Kim Rhodes of Columbia, SC., Kris and Robert Gordon of Buckhead, GA, three sons and daughters-in-law, Harry and Brenda Rountree of Myrtle Beach, SC., Jack and Jamie Rountree of Buckhead, GA, Michael and Melissa Rountree of Montgomery, AL., one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Evoline Rountree of East Point, one sister, Dr. Judy Newton of Cumming, thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
