HENRY WILLIAM BALDWIN
Mr. Henry William Baldwin, age 78, of Robertson Way Blairsville passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. He was born May 28, 1934 in Sidney British Columbia to the late Bernard and Willameena Levirs Baldwin. Mr. Baldwin had lived here for 15 years. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, landscaping his property, computers and electronics. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Mr. Baldwin served 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He held every enlisted rank from Private to Master Sergeant and then was commissioned an officer. He retired as a Captain. He was later employed by Baxter Healthcare Corporation as a manager of customer training and retired after twenty years He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife Judith Baldwin of Blairsville, children, Therese and Ken Phillips of Gulfport, MS and Michael and Alys Baldwin of Winder, GA, sister, Mary Seigrist of Chase, British Columbia, three grandchildren, Kendall Phillips, Courtney Baldwin and Rebecca Baldwin. There are also many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Liem Nguyen officiating. Music will be by Ron Gaucher. Interment will be in St. Clare's Haven. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 until 7:30 with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Larry Casey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to theSt. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Francis of Assisi.

ANGELA DIANE MALTBY
Mrs. Angela Diane Maltby age 49 of Chimney Stone Rd. Blairsville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 20, 2012 following an extended illness. Angie was born on December 28, 1962 in Davenport, Iowa the daughter of Clyde Carlisle and Barbara Hinrichs Carlisle. Angie loved her plants and animals. She was a caregiver and cared deeply for her aged clients. Angie was a loving wife, daughter, step mother, sister and grandmother. Angie was a born again believer and member of the Assemblies of God Church.
Surviving Angie are her loving husband of twenty three years, Benjamin T. Maltby of Blairsville, father Clyde Carlisle, mother, Barbara Russell of Palatka, FL, four step sons, Benjamin Thomas Maltby, lll of Jacksonville, FL, Matthew and Stephanie Maltby of Sanford, FL, John Michael and Vanessa Maltby of Miami, FL, Dr. Mark Maltby of St. Petersburg, FL, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Carmine Feagin, Stacey and Gus Smith all of Palatka, FL, one brother, Travis Eckman of NY, three step grandchildren, Ryan, Julianne and Riley Maltby, and many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday December 1, 2012, 4:00pm, at the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. JOEL NEWMAN TAYLOR
Mr. Joel Newman Taylor age 56 of Bonnie Lane Blairsville passed away on Friday November 23, 2012 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Taylor was born on Feb. 4, 1956 in Greenfield, MA, the son of Phyllis Joan Swehla Taylor and the late John Edwin Taylor. Joel was a loving companion, son, father, brother and grandfather. He had been living in Union County for the past eighteen years, moving here from Tampa, FL. Mr. Taylor had attended the Emmanuel House Church.
Surviving Mr. Taylor are his loving companion, Mary Lou Drake Taylor of Blairsville, mother, Phyllis Rogers of Greenfield, MA, his step mother, Joan Taylor of Blairsville, sons, Chris Taylor of Greenfield, Nicholas Taylor, Joel Taylor, Jr. and Matt Taylor all of Blairsville, one sister, Jo Dee Lewis, two brothers, John Lee Taylor and Jeff Taylor all of MS., three grandchildren, Raylyn, Logan and Lissandra Taylor, several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 21st Century Church on December 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bonnie Becker officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Mr. Taylor’s memory.

ROCKY REARDON MARTIN
US Navy Vietnam
Rocky R. Martin was born in San Bernadino, CA. on Dec. 25th, 1946 and passed away July, 29th, 2011 after an extended illness at Johns Creek, GA.
He is survived by his mother Beulah Martin, brothers Rod(Elaine), Rusty(Joan), Rovin (Marlene), nieces, Shanon, Melissa, Kristina and nephews Rand and Russell. Rocky was pre-deceased by his father James Martin and brother Royal Martin.
Rocky joined the Navy after graduating from Kent Meridian High School and retired from the IBM Corp. where he been employed. He loved to golf, hike and travel in his 5th wheel all around the United States. Rocky also loved to fish and dive in the warm waters of the south. Rocky was loved and will be dearly missed by all his family and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Blairsville, GA. Aug. 5th. at 2:00pm. Casual dress will be welcomed. The North GA. Honor Guard will be conducting Military Honors. The family will meet with friends following the services at the funeral home.

GAYLEE MALL GULLEY
Mrs. Gaylee Mall Gulley age 62 of Fern Gulley Rd. Blairsville formerly of Jupiter, FL. passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Gulley was born on Feb. 16, 1949 in St. Petersburg, FL, the daughter of Phyllis Brunet Mall and the late Willis Mall. Gaylee had owned and operated the Kids Zone in Blairsville. She loved golf, working and her many friends. She was a very loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Gaylee was of the Christian faith.
Surviving Gaylee are her loving husband of thirty years, Richard E. Gulley of Blairsville, one daughter and son-in-law, April and Mike Suder of St. White, FL, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Jamila Gulley Jr. of Hopewell, VA, Paul Cline and his partner Chris Long of Long Hurst, NY, Kevin and Jennifer Gulley of Jupiter, FL, one brother and sister-in-law, Darryl and Darlene Mall of Concord, NC, eight grandchildren, Brittany, Katelyn, Casey, Melissa, D.J., Jonny, Deschain and Brileigh, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday August 4, 2011 at 7:00 pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. Flowers are accepted or in lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Advantage Hospice of Ellijay in memory of Mrs. Gulley. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-7pm.

DALE ALEXANDER ALLSION

Mr. Dale Alexander Allison, 90, of Stable Gate Drive, Blairsville, formerly of East Alton, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 in Union General Hospital following after a brief illness. Mr. Allison was born on July 5, 1921 in Chester, Illinois the son of the late John L. Allison and Lizzie Smith Allison. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marine and US Navy in World War II. Dale was a small business owner and operator for 45 years prior to his move to Blairsville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by a brother Reuel Allison and sisters, Mildred Hawthorne and Vivian Louvier. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Minnie Jeremiah Allison, sons and daughters-in-law, Dale A. Jr and Carol Allison of Blairsville, and John and Candi Allison of St. Simons, GA, granddaughter and husband, Christa and State Representative Buzz Brockway, Lawrenceville, GA, grandson and wife, State Representative Stephen and Regina Allison, Blairsville, grandson, Jake Allison, Ackworth, GA, granddaughter, Jodi Allison, St. Simons, GA, granddaughter and husband, Jenny and Mike Levais, Watertown, NY and 8 great-grandchildren.

STEVE ANTHONY SATTERFIELD
Mr. Steve Anthony Satterfield age 53 of Ducktown, TN. Passed away on Monday Aug. 1, 2011 in the Erlanger Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Satterfield was born on June 27, 1958 in Blue Ridge, GA. the son of the late Varlin Satterfield and the late Sylvia Carringer Satterfield. Steve was a lifelong resident of the Ducktown area. He enjoyed farming, raising animals, hunting and fishing and especially riding in the mountains. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosa Lee Ratcliff, Carolyn Satterfield and Sheila Moore. Mr. Satterfield was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr. Satterfield are four daughters and three sons-in-law, Ginger and Bobby Dale of Ellijay, Jenny Satterfield of Ducktown, Holly and Donny Sawyer of Monroe, KY., Amy and Ryan Crowder of Blue Ridge, one son, Steve Satterfield of Murphy, one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Dennis Padgett of Blue Ridge, one brother and sister-in-law, J.C. and Betty Carringer of Chattanooga, TN., eleven grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 3:00pm from the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Pittman officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Jason and Nathan Rogers, Charles Brown, Shane and Bobby Dale and Steve Satterfield. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-2:00pm.

EUGENE MARSHALL FOX
Mr. Eugene (Better known as Gene) Marshall Fox age 70 of Sky View Drive Hiawassee passed away on Monday August 30, 2010 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Fox was born on Jan.23, 1940 in Ranger, NC, the son of the late Charles F. Fox and the late Evelyn Akin Fox. He was a lifelong resident of Towns and Union Counties. Eugene loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and the mandolin. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working and gardening. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Eugene attended the Cowboy Church in Hayesville.
Surviving Mr. Fox are his loving wife, Shirley Curlee Fox of Hiawassee, two daughters and one son-in-law, Lora Ann Fox of Hiawassee, Donna Jean and Jimmy Dyer of Alto, GA, two step daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Darryl Smith of Huntersville, NC, Kim and Richard Hudson of Loganville, GA, two brothers and one sister-in-law, William H. and Mary Ann Fox of Young Harris, Don L. Fox of Hiawassee, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Flora Nell and Ernest Rice of Blairsville, Kathy and Linton Powell of Arlington, TX, eight grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Interment will be held on Tuesday Aug. 31, 2010 at 3:00pm from the Ranger Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Regency Hospice of Hiawassee in memory of Mr. Fox.
