Mrs. Nancy Marie Clark, age 64, of Baldwin, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at The Oaks at Scenic View Nursing Home in Baldwin, GA. Mrs. Clark was born March 18, 1947 in Atlanta, GA, a daughter of the late James and Ruth Lowe Aldridge. She grew up in Avondale Estates and was a member of North Clarendon Baptist Church in her youth. Nancy was preceded in death by a sister, Bertie Mae Stephens. She was now of the Church of God faith.
Surviving Mrs. Clark are son & daughter-in-law, Marty and Brandy Henson of Blairsville, GA, two sisters, Maggie Clower of Macon, GA and Billie Ruth Crane of Andrews, SC, three brothers, Clarence Aldridge of Forsyth, GA, Luther Aldridge of Atlanta, GA and Richard Aldridge of Griffin, GA, five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services for Mrs. Clark will be held Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Chatham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 until 1:30 p.m.

TOMMY LEE HAYNES
Mr. Tommy Lee Haynes age 50 of Young Drive Blairsville formerly of Hall County passed away on Monday October 27, 2008 in Brunswick, GA. following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Haynes was born on August 1, 1958 in Lumpkin County, GA, the son of Betty Jean Harkins Haynes and the late William Arnold Haynes. Tommy was a loving father, son and brother and was a friend to many. At the time of his death he was employed by Appalachian Enterprises of Blairsville. Mr. Haynes was a member of the First Baptist Church of Scottdale.
Surviving Mr. Haynes are his mother, Betty Jean Young of Blairsville, his step mother, Helen Haynes of Gainesville, one son, David Haynes of Blairsville, one step son, Chad Beck of Lula, GA, half sister, Susan Harkins of Suches, two grandchildren, Drelynn Hester and Cayden Pritchett, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday Oct. 31, 2008 at 2:00pm from the Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Nickerson officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, David Haynes, Justin Fugel, Chad Beck, Harold Cooper, Greg Zeger, Moe Oliveria and Dewayne Oliveria. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ervin Jones. Interment will follow in the Jones family Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the Funeral home on Thursday evening from 7-9pm.

LAWRENCE "LARRY" DELLI-VENERI
US NAVY WWII
Larry E. DelliVeneri Sr, 88 Former resident of Homestead, went home to be with his Lord on August 16, 2011 at his home in Blairsville Georgia. He was born on August 3, 1923 to the late Alfred and Ruth DelliVeneri he was raised in Miami graduating from Miami Edison Sr. High School and went on to study accounting at the University of Miami. He was the owner of Florida City Crate Co. with his son Larry Jr. His motto was "We Produce So You Can Produce". Larry served in the United States Navy during WWII, while in the Navy he met and married his late wife Alice and raised three children Ruth DelliVeneri (deceased) Mary DelliVeneri Poillion (Charles) and Larry DelliVeneri Jr. (deceased) Angela; one sister Theresa Fares; stepsons David, Jerry, Ted Maxson. His is survived his wife Barbara DelliVeneri and seven grandchildren Dawn (Daryll), Pat, Jeffrey (Stephanie), Joanna, Rocky, Danielle and Lawrence III and three great-grandchildren, Keith, Kevin and Chloe.
Memorial services will be held at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville GA. on Monday August 22, 2011 at 10am with Father Liem Nguyen officiating. Special music with me presented by Ron Gaucher. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will meet with friends following the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to support our Troops.

DARIS JEAN LEDFORD JONES
Mrs. Daris Jean Ledford Jones age 63 of Ronald Phillips Rd. Young Harris passed away on on Friday Aug. 19, 2011 at her home following a brief illness. Mrs. Jones was born on Dec. 12, 1947 in Towns County, the daughter of the late Taft Donald Ledford and the late Bonnie Lee Garrett Ledford. Daris was a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was always there for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Marie McPherson in 1977. Daris was of the Church of God faith.
Surviving Mrs. Jones are seven children, Kelvin Ledford of Blairsville, Anthony C. Brown of Mineral Bluff, Tina Michelle Franklin of Blairsville, Toby Lee Brown of Blairsville, Misty and Keith Strickland of Dawsonville, Gerry Shawn Brown of Blairsville, Kerry Shannon and Michael Lee Neace of Blairsville, two brothers, Glenn Ledford of Blairsville, Don and Margaret Ledford of Young Harris, one sister, Hilda Sue Parker of Jasper, sixteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 at 3:00pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Michael Youngblood and Rev. Johnny Barrett officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Austin Franklin, Gerry Shawn Brown and Richard A Schmalenberg. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6-9pm.

PAMELA J. JEFFERSON
Mrs. Pamela J. Jefferson, age 74, of Hiawassee, GA, passed away August 21, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Jefferson was born, July 10, 1937, in Santiago, Chile a daughter of the late Victor and Marjorie Bullick Lovell. She moved to this area in 1987 from Maryland. Mrs. Jefferson was a ballerina in her young age, and was a member of the Cuban Swimming Team and won several trophies. She attended the House of Prayer Church, and was chair person of the Mission Committee for over ten years, taught several women’s Bible studies. Above all Mrs. Jefferson loved her Lord.
Surviving Mrs. Jefferson are her husband Jeff Jefferson of Hiawassee, GA, three children, Keith and Shirley Jefferson of Jacksonville, FL, Julie and Ron McFillin of Bellaire, MD, Scott and Joyce Jefferson of Bellaire, MD, brother, Bryan Lovell of Bermith England, four grandchildren, Tina, Emily and Andrew Jefferson and Abigail McFillin, one great-grandchild Quin, a host of church family, many other relatives and friends also survive.

MARILYN ANN CHAPMAN
Mrs. Marilyn Ann Chapman age 65 of Beaver Lane Marble, NC, passed away on Wednesday Sept. 22, 2010 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Chapman was born on Dec. 11, 1944 in Berwyn, IL, the daughter of the late Clarence Fisher and the late Hazel Phillips Fisher. Marilyn enjoyed collecting beanie babies, watching the TV and using her computer. She loved animals, especially her three dogs. She was a member of the Union County Lions Club. Mrs. Chapman was of the Christian faith.
Surviving Mrs. Chapman are her loving companion, Sam Weissberg of Marble, NC, two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sunitta Chapman of Hawthorne, CA, Richard and Debbie Chapman of Mission Hills, CA, one stepson, Eric Weissberg of Hollywood, CA, one step daughter, Shawna Weissberg of San Pedro, CA, one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Paul James of Marble, NC, several nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday Sept. 25, 2010 at 2:00pm from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Special music will be presented by Mildred Lecroy. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Chapman. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30-2:00pm and also following the services.

VIRIGINIA EVELYN STRICKLAND
Mrs. Virginia Evelyn Strickland age 86 of Chosen Ridge Rd. Morganton, GA. passed away on Friday Sept. 24, 2010 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Strickland was born on Sept. 9, 1924 in Carrollton, GA, the daughter of the late Matt Otwell and the late Evelyn Carver Otwell. Virginia loved to crotchet. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Horton in 2003.Mrs.Strickland was a member of Confidence Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Strickland are her loving husband of seventy one years, Horace Strickland of Morganton, two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. John and Pat Strickland of Morganton, Tom and Denise Strickland of Acworth, GA, one daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Gene Tatum of Kennewsaw, GA, one sister, IV Akins of Ellijay, three grandchildren, Johnny and Tim Strickland and Kelley Tatum, four great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at 4:00pm from the Confidence Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Special music will be presented by Greg Wilde. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Johnny Strickland, Tim Strickland, Kelley Tatum, Cameron Strickland, Bob Maddox and Greg Wilde. The body will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 2-4pm.Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the church on Sunday from 2-4pm.

Little Hayden Steven Ray, age 5 months, of 23 Dallas Hill Rd. Blairsville, went to be with Jesus on Monday Sept. 27, 2010 from the Union General Hospital following a brief illness. Hayden was born on May 1st, 2010 in Hall County, GA the son of Christopher Steven Ray and Sasha Nicole Davidson.
Surviving Hayden are his loving parents, Christopher and Sasha (Davidson) Ray of Blairsville, a brother and a sister, Chloe and Colton Ray of Blairsville, four grandparents, Rick Hughes, Mary Walker, Mark Davidson and Valeria Field of Blairsville, four great-grandparents, Paul and Mary Field of Blairsville, Iva Jean Winkler of Blairsville and Wendall Ray of Calhoun. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 1st, 2010 at 2:00pm from the Mountain View Chapel with Rev. Tommy Jones, Rev. Wayne Hughes and Rev. Randy Hughes officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Brad Gowder, Nathan Long, Trevor Dyer and Greg Kutchens. The family will meet with friends from 10am-2pm on Friday at Mountain View Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vivian Aletha Angell age 88 of 108 Church St. Hiawassee passed away on Wednesday Sept. 29, 2010 at Stonehenge Assisted Living following a brief illness. Mrs. Angell was born on June 24, 1922 in Kansas City, MO., the daughter of the late Merle McKinley Ruff and the late Clara Gertrude Kalwuhn. She was previously employed by Florida Atlantic State University in Boca Raton, FL. She was a loving wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Angel.
Surviving Mrs. Angell are her loving daughters, Diane M. Sims of Murhpy, NC and Kathleen Becker.
