GRACE WEAVER DANIELS
Mrs. Grace Weaver Daniels age 80 of Bald view Rd. Young Harris passed away on Saturday July 5, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Daniels was born on Oct. 2, 1927 in Union County, the daughter of the late O. Wayne Weaver and the late Edna Jarrett Weaver. She graduated at Union County High School. She was preceded in death by a daughter Cricket Spiva, a son Timothy Spiva, her former husband, Walt Spiva, three brothers, Eugene, Paul and Dick Weaver. Mrs. Daniels was a member of Old Union Baptist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Daniels are her loving husband of thirty five years, Tommy Daniels of Young Harris, two daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny and Lee Rainwater of Roswell, GA, Kristie and Joe Payne of Cumming, GA, two step daughters, Janie and Jack Knight of Jasper, GA, Debbie and Donald Keys of Young Harris, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bobbie and J. W. Payne of Blairsville, Janice Morgan of Forest Park, GA, one brother and sister-in-law, Corky and Carol Weaver of Enon, OH, eight grandchildren, Chris Rogers, Amanda Payne, Chasity Casey, Adam Payne, Julie Harrison, Michael and Mathew Rainwater and Stacy Harrison, eight great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 7, 2008 at 2:00pm from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lester Sutton and Rev. Jimmy Hogsed officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Chris Rogers, Jeremy Casey, Adam Payne, Mathew Rainwater, Gene Spiva and Jody Payne. Interment will follow in the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-9pm.

TABATHA RAYE BROWN
Mrs. Tabatha Raye Brown age 24 of Roberts Rd. Blairsville passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at her home following a sudden illness. Mrs. Brown was born on Sept. 27, 1983 in Ft. Pierce, FL, the daughter of Ricky Boehnlein and Becky Mounts Boehnlein. Mrs. Brown had lived most of her life in Union County and had attended the Union County School System. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved fishing, being with her family and going to church. She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Howard Mounts, two great grandmothers, Juanita Chisholm and Sadie Mounts. Mrs. Brown attended Owltown Church of God.
Surviving Mrs. Brown are her loving and devoted husband, Justin Brown of Blairsville, four children, Michael Blake Boehnlein, Adam Jason Lynn, Chad Cole Duane Lynn and Haley Emma-Grace Brown, all of Blairsville, grandparents, Billy and Rosemary Mounts of Blairsville, mother and step father, Becky and David Johnson of Austin, TX, father, Ricky Boehnlein of Cleveland, OH, sister, Ashley Conte of Austin, TX, father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Karen Brendle of Blairsville, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Friday July 11, 2008 at 11:00am from the Owltown Church of God with the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Adam Goodner, Charles Sadler, Billy H. Mounts, Billy Ray Mounts, Cody and Clinton Brendle. Interment will follow in the Owltown Church of God Cemetery. The family will meet with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9pm.

RICHARD HARVEY WERCH
Richard (Dick) WerchMr.Richard (Dick)Werch Passed away at age 74, at his home on July 9, 2008. The Wisconsin native was the youngest of 15 children. He and his wife, Irene, retired 11 years ago, from Marietta, GA, to their home on Lake Nottely, in Blairsville, GA.
Mr. Werch served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, with a major in engineering. He worked for FM Global for 30 years as a fire protection engineer. Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Irene (Alf) Werch; daughter, Kay Graap; son-in-law, Ken Graap; and granddaughter, Kyra; He is survived by four sisters and a brother, all reside in Wisconsin: Helen Reilly of Berlin; Lois Weisman of West Bend; Liz Martin of Poysippi; and Art Werch of Ripon. Richard and his wife are members of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. He leaves behind many, many dear friends. A funeral will be held at the church on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. The address of the church is 823 Forge Mill Road, Morganton, GA 30560.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made in memory of "Dick" Werch at: Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way, Jasper, GA 30143 or Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Mr. Werch’s ashes will be interred at the church’s Memorial Garden.

Mrs. Helen Todd Smith age 83 of Trackrock Gap Rd. Blairsville passed away on Monday July 14, 2008 in the St. Josephs Hospital in Atlanta following a brief illness. Mrs. Smith was born on April 28, 1925 in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late Robert Franklin Todd and the late Banner Bright Thompson Todd. Helen was the former owner of Helens Sports Wear. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Smith was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church
Surviving Mrs. Smith are her loving husband of sixty three years, Zeb Smith of Blairsville, three sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Sandy Smith of Tallahassee, FL, Zeb C. Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Ricky Smith of Blairsville, one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Billy Tilley of Mint Hill, NC, one brother, Larry Todd of Rockhill, SC., seven grandchildren, Tammy, Ben, Taylor, Ashley, Kara, Sarah, Jeffery and Spencer, four great grandchildren, Kalie, Cooper, Reece and Hunter, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 17, 2008 at 11:00am from the Mountain View funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Jenkins officiating. Mr. Wesley Conrad Eifert age 96 of Wesley Mtn. Drive Blairsville passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness. Wesley was born on August 23, 1916 in Keystone Park, FL, the son of the late Henry Eifert and the late Cordelia Gibson Eifert. He was a veteran of the US Navy of WWII and also of the Korean War. Wesley loved to play pool, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Lemons and Donna Fry, four brothers, Wilbur, Frank, Raymond and Dettmere and two sisters, Marion Eifert and Evelyn Gibson. Mr. Eifert was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Eifert are his loving wife of forty nine years, Yvonne Eifert of Blairsville, one son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Carol Eifert Jr. of Vacaville, CA, two daughters and three sons-in-law, Gale and Ted Barber of Murphy, Laurna and John Perkins of Murphy, Ed Fry of Marble, NC, thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday March 21, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Peachtree Community Cemetery with the Rev. George Cline officiating. The following gentleman will serve as pallbearers, Wesley Eifert Jr., Ted Barber, Eddy Fry, Sam, David and John Stevens.

Marjorie L. Brading
Mrs. Marjorie L. Brading, age 88, of Foothills Trail, Blairsville passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Union General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born June 11, 1924 in West Point, VA to the late Dewy and Ellen Pillsbury Robinson. She had lived here for the past 8 years coming here from Dayton, OH. Mrs. Brading was preceded in death by her husband, James William Brading in 1991. She was a member of the Christian Church in Westford, VA.
Survivors include children, Jim and Judy Brading of Blairsville, GA, and Michael and Kathy Brading of Dayton, OH, granddaughters, Sheryl Brading and Jennifer Dodds, great grandchildren, Troy and Madison, two nephews and one niece.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, Ohio. In lieu of flowers if you wish the family requests donations be made to Regency Hospice of Hiawassee in memory of Mrs. Brading.

Virginia Doris Deaver Bird
Mrs. Virginia Doris Deaver Bird, age 84, of Deaver’s RD, Blairsville, GA formerly of Union City, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 following an extended illness. She was born July 5, 1928 in Blairsville, GA to the late Luther Carl and Myrtle Morgan Deaver. Mrs. Bird was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Deaver, daughter, Debbie Bird in 1966 and her husband, Charles Wilbur Bird, Jr. in 2008. She was a member of Ivy Log Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Sheryl and Rick Maddox of Blairsville, GA and Jackie and Tim Caufman of Newnan, GA, brother, Neil “Jack” and Mildred Deaver of Canton, OH, five grandchildren, Jamie Summerour, Christi and “J” Bybee, Susan Maddox, Tami and Chris DeLong and Courtney and Kevin Lowe, great grandchildren, Andrew Summerour, Jack Bybee, Charlie Bybee, Ricky Maddox, Caleb DeLong, Morgan DeLong, Kailey Lowe and Lauren Lowe.

Johnny Robert Stanley
Mr. Johnny Robert Stanley, age 61, of Hideaway Place, Morganton, GA passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at his home following an extended illness. He was born Dec. 9, 1951 in Blue Ridge to the late James William and Gladys Viola Shook Stanley. He loved camping and boating, and was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was preceded in death by his long time companion, Sandy Ledford, brother, William Stanley, sister, Annette Nichols and daughter, Melissa Diane Stanley. Johnny was a member and Past master of Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge # 67 F & AM, and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Blue Ridge.
Survivors include his children, Trish and Brad Thomas of Morganton, GA and Anthony and Tiffany Stanley of Blue Ridge, GA, sister, Linda and Charlie Cochran of Blue Ridge, GA, brother, Clifford and Ann Stanley of Blue Ridge, GA, seven grandchildren, Hailee, Hannah, Emilee, Logan, Kalliee, Madison and Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Mountain View Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Ritter officiating. Music will be by Jim Stanley.
