Helen A. Clift, 89, of Kahoka, MO died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA.
She was born July 19, 1913 in Clark County, MO, a daughter of John Arthur and Olevia Helen Glasscock Oberman. She married John W. Clift on April 15, 1936 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1987.
Helen was of the Baptist faith. As a youth, she had joined the Providence Baptist Church near Williamstown, and later changed her membership to the New Woodville Baptist Church.
She was a lifelong resident of Clark County, MO. She and her husband farmed south of Kahoka. Helen helped with 4-H in her younger years. She enjoyed quilting and cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and treasured the times she spent with her family.
Survivors include one son, Don Clift and his wife Rosalie of Kahoka, MO, four granddaughters, Mrs. Jeff (Sherry) Koonce of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Mrs. Kipp (Kathy) Randolph of Fort Madison, IA, Mrs. Kirt (Debbie) Malone of Palmyra, MO and Cindy Clift of Warrensburg, MO, four great grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Randolph and Brock and Kaden Malone, one sister-in-law, Mary Oberman of Kahoka, MO, one brother-in-law, Jack Clifft and his wife Kathleen of Evening Shade, AR and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by one son, James Arthur Clift, three sisters, Lucille Oberman, Hilma Rowe and Fern LaFrenz and two brothers, William Oberman and Wilbur Oberman.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, February 20, 2003 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Reverend Dan Deatrick and Reverend Ernest Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Frazee Cemetery.
Visitation was held after 1:00 P.M. Wednesday with the family meeting with friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorials were made to the Frazee Cemeteryor the Donor's Choice.
Joseph Concannon

Joseph A. Concannon was born on September 12, 1909 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Joseph L. and Mabel Trieber Concannon. On August 29, 1939 Joseph was united in marriage to Florence E. Mill at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City, IA. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1994.
Mr. Concannon graduated from St. Peters High School in Keokuk, IA with the Class of 1927. He graduated with honors from the University of Iowa Law School with the Class of 1934.
Mr. Concannon practiced law in Keokuk, IA for more than fifty years. In November 1934, he began working with the law firm of George L. Norman in Keokuk. In 1938 he was appointed as a Magistrate Judge, in 1942 he was elected to that position and to many old friends he was still known as Judge Concannon. He was associated with the Robert Walker Law Firm for two years and then became a partner in the Boyd Walker, Huiskamp, Concannon Law Firm, working with Robert Walker, Logan Huiskamp and Bertha Boyd and later Judge David Hendrickson and other lawyers. The last twenty years before his retirement in 1996, he worked alone.
He was a former member of St. Frances de Sales Church and currently a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA. He was a member of the National Bar Association and the Iowa Bar Association where he served on the Board of Governors. He was a member of the Keokuk Rotary Club, the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus and longtime member of the Keokuk Country Club. He had served on the Keokuk Federal Savings and Loan Board of Directors and was active on the Grand Theatre Commission. He took great pride in having developed the framework for the Grace Bott Millar and the Agnes Benstein Charitable Trusts and served as a trustee for both trusts.
He loved to play golf and read.
Joseph A. Concannon, 93, of 1415 Grand Avenue in Keokuk, IA, died Thursday, March 13, 2003 at his home.
Mr. Concannon is survived by one daughter, Erika Gibbs and her husband Dennis of Burlington, IA, three grandchildren, Amy, Ben and Kristy Gibbs, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his twin brother David Concannon
Funeral services were held at 10 A.M., Monday, March 17 at the All Saints Catholic Church in Keokuk, IA with Father Christopher David officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemeteryin Keokuk.
Memorials were established for the Keokuk Headstart Program or the Grand Theatre Commission.

Ida Cline, 66, of Luray, MO died Tuesday, March 18, 2003 at the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO.
She was born July 28, 1936 in Mt. Hamil, Iowa, a daughter of Raymond and Violet Talbot Klesener. In 1955 she married Donald Kuntz. He preceded her in death in the spring of 1958. She later married Allison B. Cline on September 1, 1958 in Kahoka, MO. He survives.
Other survivors include eleven children, Joe Cline and his wife Kathy of Downing, MO, Joan Webster and her husband Mike of Kahoka, MO, Mindy McIntosh and her husband Craig of Palmyra, MO, Donna Schmitz and her husband David of Wyaconda, MO, Anita Osbon and her husband Buddy of Hamilton, IL, Walter Cline and his wife Tycene of Luray, MO, Virgil Cline and his wife Debbie of Kahoka, MO, Mary Leverton and her husband Tom of Keokuk, IA, Roy Cline and his wife Janna of Gorin, MO, Linda Hoekman and her husband Kevin of Des Moines, IA and John Cline and his wife Rose of Kahoka, MO, one sister, Glorine Davis of Keokuk, IA, 34 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, mother-in-law, Elsie Cline of Wyaconda, MO, three sisters-in-law, Juanita Edlen and her husband Ara, Shirley Gates and her husband Calvin and Reita Noble and her husband Dick.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister at birth, one daughter-in-law, Jodi Cline, one grandson Cailib Cline, at birth, father-in-law, Otto Cline and one brother-in-law, David Davis.
Ida graduated high school in Donnellson, IA in 1954. She was of the Catholic Faith. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family. The love and wonderful memories she has created with her family will never be forgotten.
There were no funeral service.
The family met with friends from 2-4 P.M., Saturday, March 22, 2003 at the Luray Methodist Church, Luray, MO.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Memorials may be left at or mailed to the Vigen Memorial Home, 278 West Main, Kahoka, MO, 63445.
Steven Cheney

Steven Neil Cheney was born June 28, 1948 in Peoria, IL, the son of Aldo M. and Donna L. Camerer Cheney. On April 30, 1982, Steven was united in marriage to Linda J. Anderson Long in Memphis, MO.
Mr. Cheney was a veteran of the United States Marines and served during the Vietnam War.
He had been employed at Sheller Globe in Keokuk, IA for 10 years, had been a carrier for the Daily Gate City, and most recently was employed at Gregory Manufacturing in Ft. Madison, IA. He enjoyed going fishing.
Steven Neil Cheney died, Monday, May 26, 2003 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA at the age of 54.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Keokuk, IA, one daughter, Jessica Long of Bentonville, AR, one son Jacob Long of Keokuk, IA, four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Long, Kalea Long, Trinity Hardman-Long and Nevaeh Hardman-Long, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one half-brother, David Cheney.
Graveside services with military rites will be held at 10:30 A.M., Thursday, May 29 at the Keokuk National Cemeterywith Pastor Tyrone Seay officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Howard Criswell

Howard W. Criswell was born May 7, 1924 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Robert S. and Margaret Heiser Criswell. On December 7, 1962 Howard was united in marriage to Estella Nixon in Vancouver, WA.
Mr. Criswell had been employed at Shaffer Pen in Ft. Madison, IA for 15 years. He was then employed at General Electric in West Burlington, IA for 20 years and retired in 1986.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Farmington, IA. He had been a member of the Masonic Lodge in Burlington, IA for 52 years and had held the offices of Worshipful Master, High Priest and Commander. He loved to bowl and was an avid Burlington Bees baseball fan. Howard was a loving father and grandfather and treasured the times he was able to spend with his daughter and grandchildren.
Howard W. Criswell, 79, of Donnellson, IA, formerly of Farmington, IA and Burlington, IA, died Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, IA.
He is survived by one daughter, Darla Lynne Burke of Farmington, IA, three grandchildren, David Justin Burke, Kevin William Burke and Kimberly Michelle Lynne Burke all of Keosauqua, IA, one sister-in-law, Elma Olden of Farmington, IA and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estella on November 29, 1994, his parents, and two brothers, Keith and Allen Criswell.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M., on Tuesday, June 17 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Larry Wallingford officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemeteryin Keokuk, IA.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with family meeting with friends at that time. A Masonic service followed the visitation.
Memorials were established for his daughter and his grandchildren.
James Canon

James Wilson Canon was born April 5, 1928 in Battle Creek, MI, the son of William and Winifred Dierlien Canon. On December 30, 1949, James was united in marriage to Marjorie Storey in Elgin, IL
Mr. Canon graduated from the Ft. Wayne Bible Institute in Ft. Wayne, IN and taught graduate school at Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. He had been a commercial photographer, taking still photos and doing audio visual projects, for 45 years. He retired in 1995. He had been a resident of Keokuk, IA for the past seven years.
He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, IA where he served as a Deacon. He was a member of the Burlington Institute for Creation Science and the American Society of Philatelic Pages and Panels.
He enjoyed video taping, collecting stamps and philatelic pages and was a railroad buff. He had taken photographs of the progress of the building of the St. Francisville Bridge and also of Ames Contracting construction projects. He had taken photographs of the capitols of every state, except four, and was working on designing a postage stamp for each state.

Julia M. Connolly, 99, of Kahoka, MO, formerly of Colorado Springs, CO, died Monday, October 25, 2004 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO.
She was born May 13, 1905 in Kahoka, MO a daughter of Albert J. and Dora E. Penney McKee. She married W.V. Schnebly of Kahoka, MO. She later married James J. Connolly of Colorado Springs, CO. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter, Dora Caulfield of El Paso, TX, step daughter, Mary Patricia Carpenter and her husband Kenneth of Steamboat NV, her grandson, William Miller and his wife Patricia of San Antonio, TX, granddaughter, Julie Moreno and her husband Steve of Albuquerque, NM, great grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kendall Miller and Matthew and Morgan Moreno and her sister-in-law, Mary Louise McKee of Kahoka, MO.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Dixon, and brother, Dale McKee.
Julia was a member of the Kahoka Christian Church. She graduated from Gem City Business College of Quincy, IL. She made her home in Colorado Springs, CO for 52 years and was retired from Current, Incorporated. Julia loved to read until she was unable to do so. She treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at the Kahoka Cemeterywith Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
Visitation was held one hour, 1-2 P.M. prior to the graveside service at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO.
Memorials were made to the Clark County Nursing Home.

James R. Sonny Dennis was born on November 21, 1911 in Quincy, IL, the son of Harry W. and Nellie Morrison Dennis. On October 5, 1938, James was united in marriage to R. Maxine Kinkade in Keokuk, IA.
Mr. Dennis had been employed with the United States Postal Service and was a Postal Carrier for 30 years. He retired in 1973.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks club and had been a member of the Eagles since 1961.
He loved to play golf and was very proud of his two holes in one. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine, of Keokuk, IA, three daughters, Marjorie Shields of Evansville, IN, Jeannie Prindle and her husband Philip of Montrose, IA, and Connie Johnson and her husband Greg of Ft. Madison, IA, two sons, William W. Dennis of Grand Junction, IA and Jerry R. Dennis and his wife Lisa of Pryor, OK, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one step-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jim K. Dennis, his parents, one brother, Wesley Dennis and one sister Ethel Tucker.

Marie "Helen" Davidson, 98, of Kahoka, MO, formerly of Wayland, MO died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO.
She was born April 25, 1905, near Wayland, MO, a daughter of Walter J. and Mary Schreck Pence. She married Willis Glen Davidson on December 30, 1938. He died July 14, 1969.
Helen had lived in Clark County all of her life. She had been a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Wayland, MO for 98 years. She was also a member of St. Martha's Altar and Rosary Society and the Royal Neighbors Lodge of Wayland. Helen had worked at Swift and Company for 28 years. She enjoyed traveling on the Oats bus.
Survivors include three sisters, Rose Maerz of Keokuk, IA, Frances Bliven of LaGrange, MO and Nellie Palm of Toledo, OH, several nieces and nephews and special friend Eleanora Hudson of Wayland, MO.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Hagerman and one brother, John Pence.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 4, 2003 at the St. Martha's Catholic Church in Wayland, MO with Father Roland Carbone and Father David Cox officiating. Burial was in the Ashton Cemetery.
Visitation was held one hour before the service, from 9 - 10 A.M. at the St. Martha's Catholic Church.
Memorials were made to the St. Martha's Catholic Church.
The Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO was in charge of arrangements.

Born on October 12, 1933 in Donnellson, IA, Betty was the daughter of George and Nora Bradham Dravo.
She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk, IA. She had been employed at the Kings Daughters Home for 14 years and at the Park Ridge Workshop for 25 years.
She was a member of the New Testament Christian Church in Keokuk, IA. Betty loved music and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. She also liked to play bingo.
Betty Jean Dravo died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at the Keokuk Nursing Center in Keokuk, IA at the age of 69.
Betty is survived by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Dravo of Keokuk, IA, one brother, Keith Dravo of California, one sister-in-law, Alicia Dravo of California, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Arthur Dravo.

Thomas Michael Dunning, 71, of Kahoka, MO died Tuesday, July 01, 2003 at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis, MO.
He was born November 28, 1931, in Clark County, MO, a son of Thomas and Luttie Schmid Dunning.
Thomas had been a resident of Clark County all his life. He had farmed and drove a truck. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Kahoka. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Thomas enjoyed hunting and woodworking.
Survivors include special friend, Hazel Arnold of Kahoka, MO, two sisters, Sister Eleanor Dunning of Clinton, IA and Mrs. Guy (Doris) Spence of Kahoka, MO and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Bates, two brothers, Joseph and Richard and one sister-in-law, Paula Dunning.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 5, 2003 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Father Roland Carbone officiating. Burial with military rites by the V.F.W. Post #4342 and the American Legion Post #192 was be in the Kahoka Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the service. Friends registered at the funeral home from 9 - 4 P.M. on Friday, July 4.
Memorials were made to the Local Cancer Society.

She was lifelong resident of Keokuk and graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1942. She was employed at the Hubinger Co. for 17 years and several years at Crescent Electric retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Keokuk and a past member of the Eagles.
She loved to play cards and being with friends. Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she spent with her family.
Lois Arlene Dean died Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at the Keokuk Area Hospital at the age of 79
She is survived by her husband, Jack of Keokuk, two daughters, Joyce Ewing and her husband Craig, and Debra Dean both of Keokuk, three sons, Mike Conn and his wife Barb of Hannibal, MO, Bob Conn and his wife Beth of Keokuk, and Mark Dean and his wife Gina of Keokuk, IA, one sister, Wilma Sassenberg of Keokuk, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother LaVerne Shafer.

Marion Dodson

Marion Lowell Dodson was born on November 8, 1925 in Danville, IL, the son of Jerry and Geneva Pickett Dodson. On June 23, 1946, Marion was united in marriage to Mary L. Shaffer in Farmington, IA. She preceded him in death March 23, 1996. He then married Anna Marie Davis on April 5, 1997 in Keokuk, IA.
Mr. Dodson was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War II as a Tank Gunner in the 32nd Regiment of the 3rd armored Division of the 1st Army Corps.
Marion was a minister at the Church of the Nazarene serving in Roseville, IL, LaHarpe, IL, Lacona, IA, Washington, IA, Ottumwa, IA, El Paso, IL and then back to LaHarpe, IL retiring in 1995. While he was a minister he also drove school buses and worked for funeral homes.
He was a member of the Keokuk Church of the Nazarene. Marion enjoyed woodworking, listening to music, loved to sing, and liked the challenge of a good crossword puzzle or jigsaw puzzle. Most of all, Marion enjoyed the times he spent with his family and friends.
Reverend Marion Lowell Dodson died Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at his home in Keokuk at the age of 78.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie of Keokuk, four children, Paul L. Dodson of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Dianna Curl and her husband Jim of Hamilton, IL, Donna Wyckoff and her husband Darrell of Burlington, IA, Darwin Dodson of West Des Moines, IA, two step children, Faylene Smith and her husband Paul of Burlington, IA and Steve Davis and his wife Megan of Rockford, IL, two sisters, Bertha O Banion of Danville, IL and Margaret McCarty of St. Francisville, MO, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary, one son, Lowell Sonny Dodson and one brother, Dennis Dodson.
Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 18 at the Keokuk Church of the Nazarene with Reverends Grant Foster and Leonard Miller officiating. Burial with military rites was in the Keokuk National Cemeteryin Keokuk, IA.

Virginia was a member of the Bel Air Baptist Church in Keokuk, IA.
She had been employed at Shaffer Pen in Ft. Madison, IA for 18 years. She had been the assistant manager at Kirlins and Claires in the Keosippi Mall in Keokuk, IA, and had also been a Mary Kay Consultant.
Virginia loved to cook and bake for her family. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and collecting Precious Moments. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and received much joy from spending time with her grandchildren.
Virginia J. Dennis died Monday, November 29, 2004 at her home at the age of 71.
She is survived by her husband Russell of Warsaw, IL, one daughter, Sheila VanDever of Keokuk, IA, four sons, John Dennis and his wife Sheryl of Dallas City, IL, Ronald Dennis of Columbus, OH, James Dennis and his wife Sue of Davenport, IA and Tim Dennis and his wife Diane of Warsaw, IL, one sister, Veneta Justice of Kahoka, MO, one half-sister, Beulah Roberts of Fremont, OH, her precious little poodle, Penny, nine grandchildren, Andy & Candi Dennis, Greg & Brian Dennis, Dale Dennis, Matthew, Jenna and Alaina Dennis, and Katie VanDever, and one great-granddaughter, Katelyn Dennis.
She was preceded in death by eight half-sisters, one half-brother, her parents and one son-in-law, Richard VanDever.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 2 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Jim Dennis officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemeteryin Warsaw, IL.
Visitation will be held after 1 p.m., Wednesday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with the family meeting with friends from 6 8 p.m.

Beulah M. Edwards, 88, of Wyaconda, MO died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
She was born July 1, 1914 in Clark County, MO, a daughter of William and Della Dewitt Brown. She married Raymond Glasgow and to this union four children were born. She later married Perry Kitson and to this union four children were born. He preceded her in death. She then married Wayne Edwards. He also preceded her in death.
She is survived by seven children, Richard Glasgow of Wyaconda, MO, Wilbur Glasgow of Ottumwa, IA, Mrs. Gerald (Margaret) Elder of Walnut Grove, MO, Mrs. Lyle (Nora) Ludwig of Canton, MO, Nina Doran of Canton, MO, Mrs. Mike (Noma) Genck of Canton, MO and Harold Kitson of Springfield, MO, several grandchildren including Christina Adams, Wyaconda, MO who she raised from the age of six, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren, three sisters, Lois Philps, Elsie Myers and Fern Orback and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Elder, four sisters, Eula Jean Brown, Evelyn M Brown in infancy, Viola Aldridge and Opal Irvin and three brothers, W.L. Sam Brown, Raymond E. Brown and Raymond R. Brown in infancy.
She had lived in Lewis and Clark County most of her life. She was a member of the Rutledge Baptist Church. Beulah enjoyed making quilts, fishing and gardening.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 30, 2003 at the Gorin Cemetery, Gorin, MO with Reverend Ernest Deatrick officiating. Burial was in the Gorin Cemetery.
Visitation was held after 11:00 A.M. Thursday with the family meeting friends from 6 - 8 P.M. at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO.
Memorials were made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association.

Ruby Garnet Edlen, 99, of Kahoka, MO, died Sunday, September 7, 2003 at the Clark County Nursing Home, Kahoka, MO.
She was born July 2, 1904 in Clark County, Missouri, a daughter of Maurice Clark and Frances E. Davis Gardner. She married Bill Edlen on July 4, 1925. He died on October 28, 1973.
Ruby lived in Clark County most of her life. She was a graduate of Revere High School. She then attended Kirksville Teacher's College. She taught in area schools for many years. She was a member of the Kahoka Christian Church and the Rebecca Lodge.
Ruby enjoyed quilting, baking, crocheting and tatting. She also enjoyed caring for her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by four grandchildren: Charlene Robbins and her husband Donnie of Sand Springs, OK, Dena Stewart Pfeiferling of Keokuk, IA, Jim Stewart and his wife Patricia of Blairstown, IA and Bill Stewart and his wife Marcia of Kahoka, MO, twelve great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren and one sister: Mrs. Eston "Elizabeth" Wells of Kahoka, MO.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Norma Smith on December 23, 2000, one sister: Agnes Marie Calvert and two brothers: Maurice Lee Gardner and William Richard Gardner.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Herb Doty officiating. Burial was in the Kahoka Cemetery.
Visitation was held after 1:00 P.M. Tuesday with the family meeting with friends from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

She had been employed at the Iowa Ammunition Plant in Middletown, IA and the Graham Hospital in Keokuk, IA for several years. She enjoyed puzzles and word searches. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Elwanda R. Frueh, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, February 15, 2003 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA at the age of 81.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Jairl of Keokuk, IA, five grandchildren, Joy Jairl of Keokuk, IA, Brian Jairl and his wife Marsha of Keokuk, IA, Wendy Canida and her husband Mike of Montrose, IA, Randy Frueh of Des Moines, IA and Amanda Dailing and her husband Rob of Columbia, MO, eight great-grandchildren, one brother, Gerrard Rouse of Macomb, IL, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, two great-grandsons, three brothers, one sister and her parents.
A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 18 at the Hickory Grove Cemeteryin rural Keokuk, IA with Brother Bill Hauser officiating.
There will be no visitation.

Born on August 13, 1920 in Keokuk, IA, Marjorie was the daughter of Fred and Stella Milligan Glasgow. On December 6, 1944, Marjorie was united in marriage to Roy Tommy Fletcher in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1987.
Marjorie had been in the restaurant business all of her life, owning and managing several restaurants in Keokuk, IA. She retired in 1991.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Keokuk, IA. She loved to play Bingo.
Marjorie E. Fletcher, 82, of Keokuk, IA, died Sunday, March 23, 2003 at Mountain Vista Health Care in Wheat Ridge, CO.
She is survived by her beloved companion, John Kay of Keokuk, IA, two daughters, Becky McPherson and her husband George of Denver, CO, and Gloria Pearsall of Westminster, CO, six grandchildren, Kristi Louie of Long Beach, CA, John Dickerson of Westminster, CO, Thomas Teeters of Denver, CO, Kelli Swartz of Tacoma, WA, Jaime Hudson of Denver, CO and Will McPherson of Denver, CO, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by nine brothers and one grandson.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 28 at the Vigen memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk, IA.

Charles W. Felgar was born on March 6, 1934 in West Point, IL, the son of Frank and Ruth Neill Felgar. On March 9, 1957 Charles was united in marriage to Margie Helen Lora.
Mr. Felgar was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean Conflict.
He had been employed at Keokuk Die Casting and Keokuk Steel Castings in Keokuk, IA and at Freuhauf in Ft. Madison, IA. He was the owner and operator of Felgar Small Engine and Appliance in Keokuk, IA.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Keokuk, IA, the Land of Lincoln Antique Tractor and Engine Club and a charter member of the Allis Connection. He enjoyed collecting, restoring and repairing and showing his Allis Chalmers antique tractors.
Charles W. Felgar, of Keokuk, IA died April 9, 2003 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, IA at the age of 69.
He is survived by one son, Rick Felgar of Keokuk, IA, four sisters, Irene Houston of Burlington, IA, Esther Jingst and her husband Reverend Truman Jingst of Ewing, MO, Frances Trudie Best and her husband Dale of Woodland, CA and Shirley Demonbrun and her husband Don of Marengo, IA, one brother, Bill Marshall and his wife Mildred of Carthage, IL, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margie on April 9, 1989.

Born on January 24, 1916 in Summitville, IA, the daughter of Ralph W. and Nellie M. Rhum Robertson. On February 22, 1942, Dorothy was united in marriage to Wilbur Lionel Feldmann at the First United Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1997.
Dorothy graduated from Keokuk Senior High School with the Class of 1934. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Keokuk. She served as deacon of the Second Presbyterian Church and was President of the church s Women s Association. She was also a member of the Carrie Raich Circle of Kings Daughters and Sons and served as their Treasurer for over 25 years
Dorothy M. Feldmann, 87, of Keokuk, IA, died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at the Keokuk Area Hospital.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra S. Feldmann of Keokuk, IA.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters-in-law.

Kenneth Wayne Finch was born October 22, 1953 in Aledo, IL, the son of Harry and Esther Harris Finch. On November 1, 1996, Kenneth was united in marriage to Nadine Manganello in Keokuk, IA.
Mr. Finch was a veteran of the United States Army and served with the 101st Airborne during the Vietnam War.
He had been employed at Griffin Wheel in Keokuk, IA for ten years. He was a member of the Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers International Union Local 9B.
Kenneth loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, barbequing and riding his motorcycle. He had two special Australian Shepherd dogs that he loved and took with him everywhere he went. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and treasured the times he spent with his family.
Kenneth Wayne Finch died Monday, June 23, 2003 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA at the age of 49.
He is survived by his wife Nadine, of Keokuk, IA, two daughters, Jennifer Gunnels and her husband Mike of LaPlata, MO, and Christina Newland of Lawton, OK, one step-son, John Miller and his wife Kim of Rochelle, IL, three grandchildren, Derrick and Timerrick Gunnels and Tyler Manganello, one step-granddaughter, Renya Miller, one step-grandson, Eric Miller, his mother and step-father, Esther and Victor Gray of Keokuk, IA, three brothers, Harry Finch and his wife Cathy, Steve Mason and his wife Lori, and John Finch all of Keokuk, IA, one sister, Brenda Hines of Keokuk, IA, two step-brothers, Troy Gray and Dewayne Gray, both of Keokuk, IA, one step-sister, Tonya Smith of Keokuk, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Finch, one sister, Jackie Hines and one step-son, Joseph Manganello.
A memorial service with military rites was held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, June 26 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA with Reverend Matt Hunt officiating.

Cory Finton

Cory James Finton was born July 4, 1980, in Norfolk, NE the son of Art and Delores (Dohmen) Finton.
He graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1999. While in school he participated in track for two years and football for four years. He was a member of the varsity football team and a recipient of the Coach s Award. He lent his writing talents to the school newspaper, the literary magazine, and the yearbook.
He had been employed as a stockman at Wal-Mart in Keokuk, IA for the past four years. He was a member of the Safety Team and the Sunshine Committee there.
Cory faithfully attended the Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, running the soundboard for the Saturday Night Service and holding the Young Adult Bible Study at his apartment. He had also been active with the youth group at New Testament Christian Church and volunteered at the Common Grounds coffeehouse.
Cory was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing. He also liked writing, reading Christian books, and listening to praise and worship music. His true passion in life was reaching others with the love of Jesus Christ.
Cory James Finton died Saturday, July 5 in Fulton County, IL as the result of a drowning accident at the age of 23.
He is survived by his mother Delores Finton of Keokuk, IA, his father, Art Finton of Keokuk, IA, one sister, Tina Finton of Keokuk, IA, one nephew, Carson of Keokuk, IA, his maternal grandparents, Ruth and Arnold Gerst of Omaha, NE and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Albert and Harriett Finton.
Funeral services were held at 11 A.M., Friday, July 11, at the Evangelical Free Church in Keokuk, IA with Pastor Craig Burton and Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemeteryin Keokuk, IA.
A Memorial was established for the Cory Finton Memorial Fund for his love of missions.

Christina Lynn Felling, 21 months, of Wyaconda, MO, died Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, IA, the result of an accident.
She was born December 20, 2002, in Brookings, SD, a daughter of Roger and Lynettia Overhulser Felling. They survive.
Other survivors include two sisters, Sierra Harris and Kassandra Felling of the home, maternal grandfather, John Overhulser of Kahoka, MO, paternal grandparents, Dwight and Anita Felling of Marengo, IA, aunts and uncles, Dana Overhulser of Quincy, IL, Katrina and Rusty McCormick, Chad and Tonya Goddard, all of Kahoka, MO, Jason Goddard, of Rushville, IL, Denise and Scott Fowler of Marengo, IA, Ruth and Jack Massengale of Boise, ID, Esther and Martin Jenke of Hamburg, Germany, maternal great grandparents, Norval and Twila Schonlau, maternal great grandmother, Nelda Overhulser of Kahoka, MO and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by one uncle, John Overhulser, Jr., maternal grandmother, Teresa Overhulser, maternal great grandfather, Wayne Overhulser and maternal great grandmother, Mildred Schonlau.
Christina loved life and was curious about everything. She was very intelligent for her age. She was affectionately called the monster child. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2004 at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka, MO with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Burial was in the Combs Cemetery, Luray, MO.
Visitation was held from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, September 23, 2004 at the funeral home with the family meeting friends at that time.
Memorials were made to the family.
