Ocheyedan native Ione (Meyer) Martenson, 81, died Wednesday, November 12, 2003, in Culver City, Calif. She was a 1939 graduate of Ocheyedan High School. Following nurse's training, she joined the Army Nurse Corps. As a 2nd Lt., she served on a hospital train in the E.T.O. Survivors include a sister, Sibyl Seymour of Ocheyedan.
