DAVIS DELVER WAGAMAN
Funeral Services for Davis Wagaman, age 76 of Villisca, Iowa who died Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Immanuel Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska were held Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Villisca, Iowa. Visitation with the family was at the Methodist Church 9:30 A.M. until service time. Interment was held in the Villisca Cemetery in Villisca, Iowa with military rites by Detachment 2, Company B, 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Hospital. Memories can be shared with the family on our web site at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com under obituaries. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Service, Clarinda, Iowa.
Davis Delver Wagaman was born May 14, 1930, to Cleve Austin and Ona May (Higgins) Wagaman in Clarinda, Iowa, the youngest of seven children. Davis married Sharon Draper, June 24, 1955, at the Methodist Church, Villisca, Iowa. To this union three children were born; Kurt Alan, 1957, Lori Jene, 1958 and Lisa Ann, 1962. All were born in Denver, Colorado.
Davis was a 1949 Villisca High School graduate and joined the National Guard when they were first Federally Recognized in 1947 into Company F-2nd Battalion-168th Infantry 34th Division and retired after twenty one years out of what was then, Detachment 1-Company A Battalion 1-168th Infantry as a Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed his time at Guard Camp, two weeks a year and "fighting" the floods and the "Weeny War" at the Rath Meat Packing Plant in Waterloo, Iowa. He was a Mason in Colorado, a member of the Villisca American Legion and the United Methodist Church, Villisca, Iowa. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening and yard work (until he was unable to do so), reading, traveling, telling stories, horseback riding and hunting. Davis especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He worked for Draper Produce in Villisca; Rainbow Bread Company; Puritan Pie Company and Randy's Meat Company; all in Colorado and owned and operated an A & W Restaurant in Evergreen, Colorado. He moved his family back to Villisca in 1974 and worked as a machine operator for Eaton Corporation in Shenandoah, Iowa for eighteen years before retiring.
Left to cherish Davis's memory are his wife, Sharon Wagaman of Villisca, Iowa; children, Kurt Wagaman of New Market, Iowa, Lori Wagaman of Villisca, Iowa, Lisa Sparks of Glenwood, Iowa;five grandchildren, Andrea Emery of New Market, Iowa, Jessica Kamerman and husband Tyler of Playa Del Rey, California, Kyle Wagaman of Tarkio, Missouri, Cheyenne Sparks of Villisca, Iowa, Cody Sparks of Glenwood, Iowa,; three great grandchildren, Shalori Bond of Parnell, Missouri, Zackary Bond of New Market, Iowa, Tristen Emery of Parnell, Missouri; many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Davis in death were his parents; sisters, Lucille Hazelton and Helen Lewis; brothers, Fred Wagaman, Harold Wagaman, Robert Wagaman and Orvis Wagaman; sisters-in-law, Amy Wagaman, Maxinne Wagaman, and Nina Wagaman; brothers-in-law, Glen Hazelton, Clyde Lewis, and Grant Whitney and his step mother, Ella Wagaman.
May God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn Davis's passing.

JUNE ELIZABETH PALMQUIST
June Elizabeth Palmquist, the daughter of Clement and Margaret Jones, was born June 4, 1932 at Wales, Iowa. She died on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 7 days.
June was raised in the Wales community where she attended school and in 1949, graduated from Wales-Lincoln High School. She began her working career with Dr. Spicer, a dentist in Red Oak. While working for Dr Spicer, she met James. On March 2, 1952, June and James were united in marriage near Wales, Iowa. To this union, they were blessed with three children, their pride and joy. They made their home on a farm south of Stanton, Iowa. June continued to work for Dr. Spicer and Dr. Wolfe. She also worked with Studio Girl Cosmetics and enjoyed helping design the window displays for Connor's dress shop. June was an active member of Christian Women's Club of Red Oak for many years. June held many offices in the local club along with being past chairman. She also served as area representative. June treasured time spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed working with her hands, crafting, sewing and baking for loved ones. She also had a knack for interior decorating. June was an active member of Faith Community Church in Red Oak. She had a heart for children and enjoyed working with them at Awana's. June delighted in being a part of the planning committee for the Wales Alumni banquets and with her Neighborhood Club. While June loved her family and friends with all her heart, more importantly, she loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lila Mae Cooper.
June is survived by her husband, James E. Palmquist of Red Oak, IA; two daughters: Janet Kahnk and husband Patrick of Omaha, NE and Jolene Goodsell and husband Doug of Watkins, IA; son: Jerald Palmquist and wife Chrissi of Stanton, IA; 9 grandchildren: Jessica, Andrea and Brandon Kahnk; Zachary, Ellie and Amanda Goodsell; Christopher, Austin and Ashley Palmquist; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 15, 2007 at 2:00 PM, at Faith Community Church, Red Oak. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak; Rev. David MacDonald, Officiating
Visitation with the family present at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
A memorial is being established in June's name.

LINDA (WILLIAMS) McFARLAND
Linda McFarland, 63, of Percival, Iowa, formerly of Omaha, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2007. She was born on June 12, 1943; a daughter of the late Brock and Dorothy (Strain) Williams. She graduated from the Villisca High School Class of 1961. Linda worked for seventeen years for the Western Electric Co. before going to work for the Campbells Soup Company for another seventeen years. She enjoyed gardening and bird feeding and loved the outdoors.
Her family members include her husband: Douglas McFarland of Bedford; her son: William McFarland of Omaha; her daughter: Shirley (Stan) Smedra of Papillion, Nebraska; three grandchildren: Brock, Caitlin and Cadance; two brothers: Darwin (Julia) Williams of Villisca and Jerry Williams of Nebraska City, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law: Judy Williams; and a nephew: David Williams; her brother-in-law: Richard McFarland .
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Wolfe Funeral Home, 201 E. 4th St., Villisca. Reverend Gordon Scott will officiate and burial will follow at the Villisca Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home in Villisca. A memorial fund has been established.

STERLING A. WISECUP
Sterling A. Wisecup, 84, of Raymond, died Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications from pneumonia.
He was born July 18, 1922 in Adams County, Iowa, son of Fred and Pauline Livingston Wisecup. Sterling graduated from Villisca High School in 1940. He married Etta Mauderly October 16, 1942 in Marysville, Missouri.
He served in the army during World War II in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1946.
Mr. Wisecup was employed by John Deere & Company PEC for 37 years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Etta, of Raymond; a daughter, Linda (Steven) Wachal of Dunkerton; a brother, Sherold (Gayle) Wisecup of Lincoln, CA; four grandchildren, Aaron (Alycia) Bruns of Harpers Ferry, Jeremy Wachal of Duluth, MN, Jason (Jodi) Wachal of Independence, Ashley Wachal of Jesup; and a great grandson, Alex of Jesup.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to Raymond United Methodist Church.

Velma D. Case
Velma D. Case, 96, of Villisca died on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Villisca. She born on December 9, 1910 in Washington Township, Montgomery County, Iowa; a daughter to the late George and Louie (Scott) Findley. Velma was united in marriage to Ivan Case on November 3, 1931 at Troy, Kansas.
Her family members include her daughter: Joyce (Jim) Hyink of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her son: Don (Jill) Case of Villisca; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law: Jack Wright of Tipton, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and her good friend: Margaret Gay of Villisca. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ivan Case; three brothers: Dayle, Emmet and George Findley; and three sisters: Lucille Walter, Izola Jenkins and Grace Wright.
Funeral services were held at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca. Reverend Sandy Wainwright officiated and burial was in Arlington Cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 8:00PM at the funeral home in Villisca.

JUDY RAE HANSON
Judy Rae Hanson 49, of Villisca, Iowa, entered into rest Tuesday evening, December 26, 2006 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak following a three year battle with cancer.
Judy was born September 15, 1957, in Madison, South Dakota. The daughter of Clifford B. Hanson and Helen P. (Hewitt). At the age of 8 her family moved to Omaha, NE, at 17 they moved to Villisca and at 18, back to Omaha. Judy had worked at Aksarben as a groom, Hinky Dinky, Nashua Corp, Pamida in Murray and Murray Auto Assembly's, Burcliff Industries in Iowa. She helped start J&J Signs in Arizona with her sister Jacque. She moved back to Villisca in 1997 and worked for Romech in Red Oak in accounting, for Trolley and Wal-Mart in Creston and Casey's in Villisca for a short time, until her health forced her to quit working.
Judy became engaged to Keith Hammers in November of 2005. Her one regret was not being able to marry her soul mate and friend. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, fiancée and friend and will be greatly missed.
Judy is survived by her fiancé: Keith Hammers, mother and step father: Helen and Leroy Eberly of Villisca, IA, stepmother: Gen Hanson of Ralston, NE, sisters and brothers: Gloria Masher and husband Dennis of Farragut, IA, Galen Juel Hanson and wife Cathy of Carter Lake, IA, Barbara Kruse and husband Delwyn of Des Moines, IA, Bonnie Clark and husband Kirk of Omaha, NE, Jerri Otto and husband Mark of Gretna, NE, Janice Roach and husband Robert Roach of Moore, OK, Jacqueline Fisher and husband William of Springerville, AZ and Clifford Paul Hanson and wife Diana of Omaha, NE. Plus 18 nieces & nephews, 30 grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Clifford Hanson, brother Bernard Hanson and grandparents.
Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2006, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca, IA. Graveside services were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, at the Beulah Cemetery, near Afton, IA. A memorial is being established.

IRENE E. LINDNER
Irene Evelyn Lindner, the daughter of Peter and Augusta (Esias) Johnson was born February 18, 1907 in Red Oak, Iowa. She died on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 99 years, 9 months and 24 days.
Irene was raised in Red Oak, having graduated from Red Oak High School. She was united in marriage to Walter Lindner on August 2, 1926 in Atlantic, Iowa. They lived in Montgomery County on various farms until moving into Stanton in l954. Irene was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary Ernie Johnson Post #406 both of Stanton, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, mending and even repairing many different types of dolls at her "Doll Hospital". Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter on August 12, 1979; two sons: Clarence and Dale; grandson: Scott; granddaughter: Sally; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Irene is survived by daughter-in-laws; Mrs. Kay Lindner of Cypress, CA and Mrs. Marilyn Lindner of Stanton, IA; 4 grandchildren: Jay Lindner and wife Kathy of Orange, CA; Michael Lindner and wife Pam of Maple Valley, WA; Helen Petto and husband Jim of Omaha, NE and Dirk Lindner of Omaha, NE; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and a friends.
