DyAnn C. Goff, 72, of 1513 Stoney Point Rd. NW. died Monday Jan. 14, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after an extended illness. Memorial services at 11:30 AM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jay Jentink will officiate.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh, two daughters, Staci Greg Brown of Jesup and Stephany Nathan Lykkegaard of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Noah and Jonah Brown and Lyndsey and Alysha Lykkegaard. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Susan Buffington.
DyAnn was born on Oct. 29, 1935 in Madrid, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Lucille Patrick Carey and graduated from Woodward High School in 1953. She married Hugh M. Goff on June 5, 1955 in Woodward. DyAnn worked at the Bradley and Riley Law Firms for over 20 years and most recently was a self-employed administrative consultant.
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches and time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. Memorial donations may be sent to the Madge Phillips Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ralph Glenn' Standley, 89, of the Meth-Wick Community, formerly of Denver, Colorado died at the Meth-Wick Community on Sunday Jan. 13, 2008 after an extended illness. Services at 9:00 AM Wed. at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Marion. Rev. Mike Morgan will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lynn, a resident of the Meth-Wick Community, and a son, Ralph and his wife, Vicki of Marion. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Joshua, Megan Simon Peters, Meredith Tim Frasher and one great grandson, Parker Frasher. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leo.
Glenn was born on Feb. 15, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Ralph and Gertrude Thompson Standley. He married Mary Lynn Daugherty on Feb. 9, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. Glen lived in Denver, Colorado for 47 years, moving to Cedar Rapids in 2001. He was an accountant for several businesses including the Davis, Graham, Stubbs Law Firm in Denver, Colorado where he retired after several years of service.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Denver. He enjoyed painting, walking, and all sports including the Colorado Rockies and St. Louis Cardinals.
Memorial donations may be given to the First United Methodist Church Endowment Fund in Marion, Hospice of Mercy or the Meth-Wick Community in Glenn's name.
Mireta L. Niebuhr, 92, of Windmill Manor, Coralville, passed away peacefully on the evening of January 14, 2008. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jonathan Offt. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Mireta was born September 18, 1915 in Guernsey, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church and graduated from Guernsey High School. Mireta married William C. Niebuhr on January 16, 1938. They farmed in the Blairstown area and lived in Des Moines before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1956. They were “Day One-ers” with Life Investors Insurance Company/Aegon and enjoyed many international and national trips with the company. Mireta was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Mary Martha Guild. Her interests included oil painting, photography, sewing, gardening and all activities of her family. She appreciated the performing arts, music and Hawkeye basketball and was well known for her witty one-liners.
She was a wonderful mother to her five children, who survive her; Gary Niebuhr of Los Angeles, CA, Jean and Bob Ross of Santa Fe, NM, Jim and Diane Niebuhr of Iowa City, Bill and Peggy Niebuhr of Streator, IL and Joyce Niebuhr of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by grandchildren Jeremy Niebuhr of Miamisburg, OH, Katie Niebuhr and Jamie Niebuhr of Iowa City, Wendy and Michael Buttacy of Springfield, MO, Anna Niebuhr and Billy Niebuhr of Streator, IL; great-grandchild Jordan Niebuhr of Hamilton, OH; sister, Verna Belle Schmidt of Princeton, IL; brother, Marvin Merck of Anamosa, IA; and devoted friend, David Bolt of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Esther Merck; her brother, Lawrence Merck; and husband, Bill.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of her caregivers at Bickford Cottage, Windmill Manor, and the Palliative Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Steven Leo Brown, 65, of Dunedin, Florida formerly of Cedar Rapids died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 at the Morton Plant Mease Countryside Hospital after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Beth, a daughter, Tracey Hunt of Las Vegas, Nevada, a step-son, Steven Stewart and a step-daughter, Ronda Althen both of Los Angels, California, and a sister Caralyn Landacre of Reno, Nevada. He is also survived by three cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerry.
Steven was born on Nov. 20, 1942.
