GREENE -- Rose Mary Hildebrand, 80, of Greene, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital, McAllen, Texas, of natural causes; survivors include her husband, Gerald C.;two daughters, Judith Ann Blum of Cedar Rapids and Sharlene Ruth Salas of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Bernard of Royal Oak, Mich.; five grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Van Benschoten of Hueytown, Ala.; and a brother, Vincent Van Benschoten of Surprise, Ariz.; she was preceded in death by two brothers, the Rev. Wentworth and worked as a housekeeper for families in Marble Rock; later she and her husband farmed in the rural Greene area for 47 years.

VINTON -- Mary Lee Kinnane, 58, of Minnetonka, Minn., formerly of Vinton, died at home Nov. 21, 1998, from complications of rheumatoid arthritis; survivors include her husband, John E.; a son, Scott of Minneapolis; a daughter, Julie Morehouse of Minneapolis; and six grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Mabel W. Hite; and a brother, Frederick L. Hite; memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Vinton Presbyterian Church, with inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery, Vinton; a memorial fund has been established.
ELDORA -- Ruth Norma Shadle, 90, of Seattle, Wash., formerly of Eldora, died in Seattle on Nov. 19, 1998, of natural causes; survivors include a son, Jim of Libby, Mont.; a daughter, Julie Ann Snyder of Seattle; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, in 1983; memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church UCC, Eldora, with private inurnment in Eldora City Cemetery; Creps-Abels Funeral Home, Eldora, is in charge of local arrangements; a memorial fund has been established; Mrs. Shadle attended Iowa State College, Ames, for a year, then worked as a telephone operator.
