MAYNARD -- J. Hollis Windenburg, 90, of Maynard, died Sunday, May 2, 1999, at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, Oelwein, after a lengthy illness; survivors include two sons, Keith of Marion and Paul of Hackett, Ark.; two daughters, Beverly Seegers of Oelwein and Barbara Schultz of Janesville, Wis.; and 15 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, on June 18, 1995; a son, Lewis Wayne; and eight brothers and sisters; services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Maynard, with burial in Campton Cemetery, Lamont; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Maynard, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church; Mr. Windenburg farmed in the Lamont, Westgate, Sumner and Maynard areas; he also was chairman of the Maynard Creamery Board for many years.
