Shirley A. Smith, 72, of 2715 180th St., Marshalltown, died at her home on Dec. 21, 2004, while under care of the Iowa River Hospice.
Following cremation at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, 202 West Main Street in Marshalltown. Following services, a private family burial will be held at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. A public gathering will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, where her family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed in Shirley's name to her family.
Shirley is survived by her husband Kenneth F. Smith of Marshalltown; her children, Nancy (Jay) Tappe of Colo, Cindy (Frank) Jennings of Nevada and Roger (Teddi) Smith of Cedar Rapids; her sisters, Betty (Wayne) Paul of Laurel, Marilyn (Jack) Schoop of Granger and Virginia (Tim) Seipel of Poway, Calif.; and her seven grandchildren.

IOWA FALLS - Bill Kenison, 72, of Iowa Falls, died Dec. 17, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Iowa Falls, with Rev. Margaret Debner officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Surls Funeral Home located at 505 Stevens St. in Iowa Falls. An Elks Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a son Bruce Kenison of Clear Lake and a daughter Teri Kenison of Iowa Falls.
Doris J. Davidson, 78
GRUNDY CENTER - Doris J. Davidson, 78, of Grundy Center, died Dec. 17, 2004, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital from complications due to Parkinson's disease, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ivester Church of the Brethren in Grundy Center with Pastors Timothy Button-Harris and Mary Jane Button-Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Sheller Cemetery in rural Grundy Center. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family present, at Engelkes Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. Memorials may be directed to Ivester Church of the Brethren and Cedar Valley Hospice.
She is survived by two sons Roger Davidson of Harlan and Donald (Sharon) Davidson of Grundy Center; a daughter Vicki (Jim) Miller of Newton, five grandchildren and one brother, Donald (Eunice) Munn of Middlebury, Ind.

Everett Cook, 91, of Marshalltown, died Dec. 17, 2004, at the Iowa Veterans Home following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Christ in Green Mountain. Burial will follow at the Green Mountain Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Overton Funeral Home in Garwin.
He is survived by two daughters, JoAnne (Bruce) Thompson of LeMars and Lori (Larry) Stuckmyer of Bloomfield; two sons, Paul Cook of Oklahoma and Everett Cook Jr. of Johnston; 17 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and two sisters, Blanche Lange and Edna Shepard.

Memorial services for Miles McClurg, 81, were held Saturday morning at Elim Lutheran Church with Rev. Karen Cluts officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
Groups in attendance were PEO Chapter LT, Marshalltown High School Class of 1943 and Meals on Wheels.

Margaret Clista Carmody Lang, 88, of Ames, died Friday, December 10, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames. Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery in Nevada.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy (Howard) Reischauer of Zearing; four sons, Michael (Tammy) Lang of Boone; Patrick (Hue) Lang of San Diego; Louis of Nevada; and John (Pam) Lang of Lakeville, Minn; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; three sisters, Lillian Botts of Marshalltown, Vera Andrew of Des Moines, Delores Jones of Zearing. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard, two daughters, Marcia (Butch) Cox of Zearing and infant daughter Mary Catherine and infant brother, John, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, with a rosary at 4 p.m. and American Legion Auxiliary service at 6 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 37 building fund, St. Cecilia Church building fund or to the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames

Funeral services for Esther Stoner were held Monday morning at the LeGrand Friends Church, with Pastor Alan Mullikin and Rev. Ron Bryan officiating. Burial was in the LeGrand Friends Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Kevin Van Winkle, Lonny Van Winkle, Corey Stoner, Kelby Stoner, Tanner Stoner, Carey Stoner, Tad Stoner and Brandon Stoner.
