Makenzie Waterbeck
BLOOMFIELD - Makenzie Lee Waterbeck was stillborn Aug. 20, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
She is survived by her parents, Jerome and Kari Minnick Waterbeck of Cherokee; a brother, Jayden Waterbeck, and a sister, Taylor Waterbeck, both of Cherokee; grandparents, Roger and Lana Minnick of Bloomfield, Jerry and Anne Waterbeck of Marshalltown, and Paul and Deanna Adams of Marshalltown; and great-grandparents, J.D. Graves of Bloomfield, Frank Waterbeck of Toledo, and Marie Robertson of Marshalltown.
Services and burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Phil Griffith officiating.
Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Roxie T. Pearson, 95
GRINNELL - Roxie T. Pearson, 95, of Grinnell and formerly of Gilman died on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell with the Rev. Jeff Maskevich, pastor of the Newburg-Chester Congregational Church officiating. Pianist and flutist will be Melinda Connon.
Casket bearers will be Edwin Gooch, David and Joseph Kalkwarf, Todd Pearson, James Schmidt and Ronald Williams. Interment will be in the Prairie View Cemetery in Gilman.
Friends may call at the funeral home beginning noon on Tuesday, and the family will be present at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be directed to Grinnell Regional Hospice.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Thomas E. and Sandra Pearson of Chicago, Ill., and Dawn E. and Gerry Kalkwarf of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; and one brother, Corvan F. Gooch of Norwalk, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her daughter, Linda Pearson; one sister, Ida Heisel; and two brothers, Delmar and Oddry Gooch.

Virginia Neuroth, 91
CONRAD - Virginia Neuroth, 91, of Conrad died of natural causes Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshalltown, with the Rev. Bernie Grady officiating. Burial will be in the Conrad Cemetery in Conrad.
A visitation will be at the Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m., with a scripture service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund is being established.
She is survived by two daughters, Marjorie (Kent) Higgins of Conrad and Marylee (Mike) Kelly of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Alice M. Wilcox, 96
Funeral services for Alice M. Wilcox, 96, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Estel Perrin Avey Chapel, with Pastor Karen Cluts officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Joel McKibben, Jon McKibben, James McKibben, Tom HalI, David Boldt, Mark Boldt, Dylan McKeever, Nathan Jordebrek, Austin Boyd, Chad Hickson, Jeff Norton, Brad Norton and Justin Jordebrek.
A group in attendance was from Villa del Sol Care Center.

Floyd Zednichek, 88
Floyd Zednichek, 88, formerly of 801 E. South St., Marshalltown, currently residing at the Grandview Heights Care Center, died there Monday, Aug. 9, 2004.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Marshalltown, with Pastor Scott Lothe officiating. Burial will follow services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, where Floyd's family will be present to greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed in Floyd's name to the Make A Wish Foundation. He is survived by his son Dennis (Joan) Zednichek of Marshalltown; his daughter Barbara J. Zednichek of Marshalltown; his sister Wilma Viers of Marshalltown; his granddaughter Denise R. (Wiley) Wilkinson of Chanhassen, Minn.; and his great-grandchildren, Zachary J. and Logan D. Wilkinson.
Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Rose in April of 2002; his parents; his sister Gladys Wheater; and his brothers, Fred, Bob and George.

Robert E. Lachman, 53
Graveside services for Robert E. Lachman, 53, were held Tuesday afternoon at Riverside Cemetery, with Rabbi Aaron Schwarzbaum of Des Moines officiating.
Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Delmar Bogenrief, 80
Delmar Bogenrief, 80, of 1506 E. Nevada St., died April 1, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. The Bogenrief family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Iowa Veterans Home for making their dad feel so welcome and at home with them, and also for the staff at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines for their care and concern. Their dad also had a special roommate, Marlin, whom the family would like to thank for being so kind to their dad.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Kerry Jech of New Hope Christian Church officiating. He will be laid to rest in the private family graveside services at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with full military honors by Harry C. Harter VFW Post #839. There will be no visitation. Left to mourn his loss are his children Sandra Rae (Kent)Thiesen of Spencer, Carol Linn (Peter) Henschke of Annapolis, Md., Donald Wayne (Kayla) Bogenrief of Albion, Cheryl Lee (Mark) Hayes of Rhodes, and Barbara Ellen (Tim) Jennings of Marshalltown; seven grandchildren Jeremy and Andrew Thiesen, Colleen, Jessica and Emily Hayes and Austin and Ashley Jennings; three great grandchildren Logan and Ellie Thiesen and Skyler Ivey; his brother Harvey (Phyllis) Bogenrief of Ames; his sister in law Gladys Larson of Hot Springs, Ark.; nieces; nephews; a host of friends; two grand dogs Wilma and Freckles; and a bunch of favorite farm animals.

Fred W. Kreigel Jr., 80
Fred W. Kriegel Jr., 80, formerly of Marshalltown, died April 2, 2006, at Brookings Health Systems in Brookings, S.D.
Funeral services are pending at Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home, where friends may call for further information.

David J. Avery, 69
CAMBRIDGE - David J. Avery, 69, of Cambridge, died March 31, 2006, at his home.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell. Burial will be 12:15 p.m. Monday in Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bacon Funeral Home.
David is survived by his wife Lilly Avery of Cambridge; sister Nancy (Ralph) Smouse of Montour; two nieces Kathy (Larry) Smouse Hulse of Des Moines and Julie (Ron) Metz of Cedar Rapids; and a nephew Jeff (Doris) Smouse of Urbandale.

H. Louise Davis, 84
SOLON - H. Louise Davis, 84, formerly of Clemons, most recently of Marshalltown and then Solon, died April 1, 2006, at Solon Care Center.
Funeral services and celebration of her life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bangor Liberty Friends Church with Pastors Dale Coppinger of Oskaloosa and Dean Lambdin of the church officiating. She will be laid to rest in Bangor Friends Cemetery with a time of fellowship to follow at the church. Friends may call at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Paul S. Steuhm, 61
TAMA - Paul Sheryl Steuhm, 61, of Tama, died March 31, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines due to a short illness.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Kruse Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in rural Tama. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Kruse Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Survivors include two sons Scott (Karen) Steuhm of Tama and Brett Steuhm of Tama; two daughters Kellie (Richard) Phillips of Pella and Kendra Steuhm of Sully; one brother Stan Steuhm of Marshalltown; and four grandchildren.
