Helen Elizabeth Hagmeier

Helen Elizabeth Hagmeier, 81, of Keokuk, died Thursday, May 28, 1998, at her home.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1916, in Keokuk, the daughter of Henry Albert and Fanny Bennet Gabel. She married
Melvin Hagmeier on March 21, 1936, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1962.
Survivors include: two sons, Jerry T. Hagmeier and his wife, Barb, of Quincy, Ill., and Rodger L. Hagmeier and his wife, Jean, of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Shawn Hagmeier of St. Louis, Cheryl Hagmeier and Cynthia Hagmeier, both of Quincy, Douglas Hagmeier and his wife, Donna, and Timothy Hagmeier and his wife, Tyler, Hagmeier of Cleveland, Ohio.
She was further preceded in death by a brother, Charles Gabel, and two half-sisters, Alma Price and Jeanette Graham.
She had been employed at Keokuk Area Hospital and the St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk until her retirement.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Keokuk.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. Thomas Reuss officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Keokuk.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Sunday, May 31, with family meeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Keokuk.
Marjorie Warren Jobe Shelton

ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Marjorie Warren Jobe Shelton, 88, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, in Roseville, Calif.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1911, in Donnellson. She married
Edward B. Jobe. He preceded her in death. She then married
Clarence Shelton. He also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: Edward B. Jobe Jr. of Princeton, N.J., Wayne F. Jobe of Yuba City, Calif., Jerilynn Mason of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dennis Jobe of Pea Ridge, Ark., Janis MacBain of Auburn, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, James and Terrance Jobe and a daughter, Janielle Jobe Berry.
She grew up and raised her family in Iowa and later migrated to California, for her golden years.
She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Private services will be held by family members.
Charles Oscar 'Chuck' Laisle

RIDGWAY, Colo. - Charles Oscar "Chuck" Laisle, 64, of Ridgway, Colo., died at 5:05 p.m. May 24, 2002, in the Doak Walker Care Center in Steamboat Springs, Colo.
He was born on Sept. 6, 1937, in Keokuk, the son of Oscar H. Laisle and Clara M. Fellows.
Survivors include: three children, two daughters and a son; grandchildren; a sister; a brother; nieces and nephews; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; two nieces; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
He had a business in plumbing and heating until his retirement.
Mr. Laisle loved the mountains.
He enjoyed a past time of inventions and had a gift of art in drawing and painting.
Mr. Laisle had taught a class of blue printing in Grand Junction College.
Mr. Laisle was loved by many. He was very kind and intelligent.
Memorial services were held Saturday in Ridgway Reservoir Lake.
Burial was in the Grand Junction Cemetery, Grand Junction, Colo.
Anna Louise Peters

DAVENPORT - Anna Louise Peters, 90, of Davenport, died at 11:57 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at the Kahl Home in Davenport.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1911, in Stuttgart, Ark., the daughter of George P. and Erna A. Hoevels Schmid. She married
William L. Peters in 1931, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keokuk. He survives.
Additional survivors include: a son, Larry Peters and his wife, Jackie, of Davenport; a daughter, Rozann Lewis of Rock Island, Ill.; two grandsons, Loren and Lee Peters of Davenport; a granddaughter, Kelly Clark and her husband, Doug, of Geneseo, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Louise Peters of Keokuk; two nieces, Carm Fett and her husband, Dale, of Donnellson and Mary Beth Larsen of Dayton, Ohio.; and her extended family, William and Virginia Moler and family of Peoria, Morton and Decatur, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a graduate of St. Peters High School in Keokuk.
She had been a resident of Keokuk from 1914 to 1973. She had been a resident of Davenport since 1973.
Mrs. Peters was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Davenport.
Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Greaves Mortuary, Keokuk, with the Rev. Paul Connolly officiating.
Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery, Keokuk.
Visitation is after noon Friday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be made to All Saints Catholic Church, Keokuk, or St. Anthony Catholic Church, Davenport.
Dennis Michael Stehl
May 28, 1948 - Dec. 20, 2001
MONTROSE - Dennis Michael Stehl, 53, of Montrose, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at Keokuk Area Hospital.
He was born on May 28, 1948, in Keokuk, the son of Harold and Louise Hagmeier Stehl.
Survivors include: two sons, Cory Stehl and his wife, Stephanie, of Tulsa, Okla., and Philip Stehl of Keokuk; a gradndaughter; a grandson; his mother, Louise Bergman of Keokuk; and a sister, Marilyn York of Pryor, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his father and his stepfather, Walter Bergman.
He enjoyed riding around in his van.
Mr. Stehl had quite a sense of humor and liked to tease and agitate his family and friends.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, with the Rev. John Abraham and Paul Mays officiating.
Burial will be in the Sandusky Cemetery, rural Keokuk.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Lee County EMS Ambulance, Inc.
Carol Elberta Faeth
March 11, 1919 - Oct. 14, 2001
FORT MADISON - Carol Elberta Faeth, 82, of Fort Madison, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Keokuk Area Hospital.
She was born on March 11, 1919, in Danville, the daughter of Elbert E. and Zoie Gibson Moore. She married
Marvin A. Faeth on June 15, 1941, in Burlington. He survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Loren Faeth and his wife, Arleen, of Ames and Lynn Faeth and his wife, Heather, of Fort Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Vince (Marva) McCarty of Urbandale; six grandchildren; a brother, William Moore of Danville; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
She had owned and operated Faeth Orchard along with her husband for the past 60 years.
She was a member of the Iowa Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, Illinois Specialty Growers Association and the Donnellson Saddle Club.
Mrs. Faeth was a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist Church and a member of the Fellowship Circle of the Church.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Santa Fe United Methodist Church, Fort Madison, with the Rev. Consorcia Sanchez officiating.
Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Wednesday at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Fort Madison, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial prayer service will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Long Creek United Methodist Church in Danville.
A memorial fund has been established.
