PRIMROSE - Wayne L. Benjamin, 84, of Primrose, died at 5:17 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, in Fort Madison Community Hospital.
He was born April 5, 1920, in Primrose, the son of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Schock and Leo Benjamin.
Local survivors include: two sisters, Doris I. Benjamin and Marjorie B. Benjamin, both of Primrose.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Ella Jones.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, with the Rev. Richard Bentzinger officiating.
The family will meet with friends from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in the Acklem Cemetery, Primrose.
A memorial has been established.
Kimora Curfman
DES MOINES - Kimora Curfman, infant daughter of Anthony Curfman and Susan Lloyd, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009, in Mercy Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, Kimora is survived by her brothers, Alexander and Austin; a sister, Jasmine; maternal grandparents, Sherri and Jeff Newell; paternal grandparents, Sandy Brewer and Ron Brewer; great-grandparents, Patty and Marvin Crouse and Mary and John Jones; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
James M. Boyd
SNELLVILLE, Ga. - James M. Boyd, 61, of Snellville, Ga., died Thursday, April 2, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Dyan Boyd of Snellville.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Alex Boyd and Shamus Boyd, both of Snellville; and two brothers, John K. “Pat” Boyd and Thomas A. Boyd and their families, all of Keokuk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John K. and Elizabeth Samuels Boyd.
At the request of the deceased there are no services planned.
Private family memorial will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers or other memorials, the family suggests donations be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Tribute #23659463-Boyd, 510 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, an organization for which James held a special fondness.
The family expressed appreciation for care received from Embracing Hospice.

Terry Lee Bell
Nov. 27, 1960 - April 8, 2009
Terry Lee Bell, 48, of Keokuk died in an accident on Highway 61 at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2009.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1960, in Beckley, W.Va., the son of Clifton and Christina Fields Bell.
He had lived in Keokuk since he was 15 years old. His favorite things were motorcycle rides, bike rallies, Harley Davidson motorcycles and watching marshal arts fighting. He enjoyed his family. His children were most important in his life.
Survivors include: four children, Tressa Bell and Paul Bell, both of Kahoka, Mo., Travis Atterberg of Keokuk and Aeriae Atterberg of Warsaw, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Christina Johnston of Chariton; a granddaughter, Kaylee Atterberg; a stepgrandson, Trenton Johnston; five brothers and sisters, Sherry Nelson and Gary McMann, of Kahoka, James Bell of St. Louis, Wayne Bell of Keokuk, Linda Bell of Granger, Mo., and Larry Bell of Keokuk; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his fiance and mother of Tressa and Paul, Theresa Gree, in 1996; a brother, Mike Bell; and a sister, Debbie Smith.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at DeJong's Funeral Home, Keokuk, with Pastor Orlie Yoder officiating.
Following the service, his body will be cremated.
Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made for his children.
Glenn Keith Stigall
Sept. 1, 1926 - April 7, 2009
FORT MADISON - Glenn Keith Stigall, 82, of Fort Madison died at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
He was born on Sept. 1, 1926, in Fort Madison, the son of Talton and Hattie (Stanton) Stigall.
He married
Rosma Jean “Roz” Chamberlain on Sept. 2, 1950, in Fort Madison. They were married
57 years. She preceded him in death.
The body of Mr. Stigall has been cremated.
The family will meet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Memorial services will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Simpson officiating.
Burial will be in Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.
A memorial has been established.

David Lee Tuttle

CLEARWATER, Fla. - David Lee Tuttle, 40, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Nauvoo, Ill., and Dayton, Ohio, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at his home in Clearwater.
He was born on Oct. 9, 1968, in Fort Madison, the son of Ray William Tuttle and Bonnie Lee Stapp Tuttle.
Survivors include: his father, Ray Tuttle of Nauvoo (Jeanne Willson of Fort Madison); two sisters, Nancy (John) Symmonds of Keokuk and Charlene Symmonds of Hamilton, Ill.; nieces and nephews, Kelly Symmonds of Keokuk, William Tuttle of Indiana, Jamie (Jeff) Bair of Keokuk, Christopher Symmonds of Hamilton, Nicole Villaria and Adrianne Tuttle, both of Quincy, Ill., John Symmonds and Jennifer Symmonds, both of Keokuk; and several great-nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and numerous friends, including long time friend, John Stadler of Clearwater.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ray William Tuttle, on Dec. 1, 1980; his mother, Bonnie Lee Tuttle, on Dec. 5, 2003; and his brother, Gary Wayne Tuttle, on July 20, 2007.
He attended Nauvoo-Colusa High School and Fort Madison High School. In 1987, he attended Bill Hill School of Cosmetology in Fort Madison.
Before moving to Dayton, he worked as a cook at the American Legion in West Point and as a waiter at various restaurants in the Chicago area, including Johnny Rockets where he had the experience of waiting on various television, movie and sports personalities.
In recent years, prior to moving to Florida, he had worked in a medical supply business.
David loved being with people and enjoyed sharing good food and wine with them. He was an avid collector of rocks and fossils. He spent many hours with his father exploring for that special rock or specimen to add to his collection and was particularly proud of his geodes.
He also was an animal lover and had many pets throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by his beagle, Edina, whom he affectionately called “Eddie.”
While living in Ohio, he spent many pleasant hours tending his rose garden of which he was very proud. He loved art and displayed a natural artistic talent that he explored in his younger years.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lamporte - St.Clair Funeral Home, Nauvoo, with burial in the Nauvoo City Cemetery next to his brothers and his mother.
Visitation is after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with family meeting friends and relatives from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Lawrence ‘Larry' Kolvis, Jr.
Aug. 1, 1942 - March 23, 2009
Lawrence “Larry” Kolvis Jr., 66, of Keokuk died Monday, March 23, 2009, in Douglasville, Ga.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1942, in Mason City, Ill., the son of Lawrence and Martha Thomas Kolvis.
He was first married
to Marilyn Williamson and to this union three children were born, Kevin, Shannon and Larry. He then was united in marriage to Judy McGillivray on June 1, 1984, in Alexandria, Mo. She survives.
Additional survivors include: two daughters, Laysha Kolvis of Keokuk and Shannon Towers and her husband, Larry, of Havana, Ill.; two sons, Kevin Kolvis and his fiance, Michelle, of Havana and Larry Kolvis and his fiance, Melinda, also of Havana; three stepsons, James Wigginton and his wife, Libby, of Keokuk, Kenny Irvin of Keokuk and Kent; a stepdaughter, Peggy; 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Mike Kolvis and his wife, Jane, of Havana and Eldon Kolvis and his wife, Kay, of the state of Washington; his mother-in-law, Winnie McGillivray of Keokuk; a sister-in-law, Shirley Kiester of Keokuk; and several nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors, including his best friend, Roger Lindner of Keokuk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Bud McGillivray; his brother-in-law, Jerry Kiester; a grandson; and a granddaughter.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Gem City Trucking in Keokuk for 13 years and then worked for Shelman & Son Trucking of Winfield, retiring in 2008.
He was a member of the Eagles Club.
Larry loved to tinker and fix anything, from toys to radios to trucks. He also was an avid NASCAR fan.
Graveside services will be held at a later date.
