William H. Behrens, 49, of 202 26th St. Dr. SE died Thursday, April 29, 2004 near Appleton, WI., the result of an auto accident. Memorial services are at 2 PM on Wed. at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Larry Hayward will officiate. Inurnment at a later date. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 9 PM on Tuesday.
Survivors include his wife, Laura, two sons, Christian and Isaac both at home, his mother, Martha of Red Wing, MN., two sisters, Marne Peterson Tim of Ellsworth, WI. and Gene Behrens of Mt. Joy, PA. He is also survived by his mother-in- law, Carol Piper of Oelwein and nine nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill was born on Jan. 4, 1955 in Red Wing, MN. the son of Kenneth and Martha Howe Behrens. Bill was a member of the Cedar Rapids Symphony. He taught low brass instruments as an adjunct professor at Coe and Cornell Colleges as well as giving music lessons out of his home. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the International Trombone Association, The American Federation of Musicians and the Cedar Rapids Coin Club. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bill's name.

Delores Bergen, 77, of Hiawatha, died in her home, Friday, May 7, 2004 after a long
illness. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Christine Wagner-Hecht. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel.
Survivors include her husband Hugh; two daughters, Jan Short and husband Jerry of Hiawatha, and Pam Waters and husband Don of Shellsburg; four grandchildren, Trent and Tanya Short of Hiawatha, Travis Waters and fiance Amanda Latteyer of Cedar Rapids, and Ashley Waters of Shellsburg; two sisters, Margaret Kvarda and Betty Graulaudd of Cedar Rapids; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Cathy Wright of Marion.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents William and Lucille Grady; a stillborn son;two brothers, Bill Garady, killed in action durig WWII, and Larry Grady; two sisters Bernadine Burgess and Shirley English.

Doris C. Bock, 76, of 4325 Westchester Dr. NE, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital following a sudden illness. Memorial services at 11 AM Tuesday in King of Kings Lutheran Church. Rev. Survivors include her husband of 54 years Ralph, three children, Diana Forsythe David of Farmington, Iowa, Keith Bock Sue of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, and Curt Bock Cheryl of Cedar Rapids. Seven grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, John, Andrew Christy, Lindsay, Jordan, and Maria, and a brother Leroy Eichhorn of Des Plaines, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Doris was born September 5, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Ella Jannusch Eichhorn. She married
Ralph W. Bock on March 4, 1950 in Chicago. They moved to Cedar Rapids in 1965. Doris worked in the office at Armstrong's Department store for 17 years. She was an active member of King of Kings Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Armstrong Ladies luncheon group.
Doris was a loving wife and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. Her positive and joyous outlook will be greatly missed.

Susan M. DeSotel, 51, of 1818 Washington Ave SE, died Monday, August 2, 2010, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from injuries suffered in a bicycle accident July 29. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday in St. Pius X Catholic Church. Father Phil Thompson will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include three children, Brandon (Heather) DeSotel of Hiawatha, Michaela (Mike) Gunsaulus of Newton, Iowa, and Reid (Stephanie) DeSotel of Cedar Rapids, her parents, Kenneth and Marlene Millsap of Cedar Rapids, two sisters Karol (Barry) Boyd of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Mary (John) Klein of Sykesville, Maryland, two brothers Mark (Cheryl) Millsap of Olathe, Kansas, and Kent (Ana) Millsap of Cedar Rapids, and two grandchildren, Abagail DeSotel and Madden Gunsaulus.
Susan was born December 4, 1958 in Cedar Rapids to Kenneth and Marlene (Cahalan) Millsap. She was employed by Quintrex Data Systems for 22 years as a Quality Assurance Specialist. She was a member of the Hawkeye Bicycle Association.

William Bill John Brown, 76, died early Friday morning, May 21, 2004, at the Lutheran Home, Vinton, Iowa, where he had been a resident since January 2004. He previously was a long time resident of Cedar Rapids. To honor his wishes, there will be no visitation. His family will gather in celebration of Bill's life. Inurnment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a sister Carol Edward Pickart, of Vinton, Iowa, two nieces Teresa Wilson of Garrison, Iowa, and Denice Williamson of Clarksville, Tennessee, a nephew Matthew Pickart of Grand Rapids, Michigan, several grandnieces and nephews, and his Aunt Mildred Retz Bowersox, of Chico, California.
Bill was born June 18, 1927 in Oelwein, Iowa the son of Earl and Evelyn Retz Brown.
He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1945. He attended Upper Iowa University, Fayette, Iowa, and Iowa State College in Ames, Iowa.
He married
Delia Joy Preece on June 15, 1968, in Cheltenham, England. She died December 3, 1996. He served in the US Navy from September 1945 to July 1946. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam War. He retired from U.S. Army in May 1974 as an Army Security Agency Master Sergeant.
Following his retirement, Bill and his wife, Joy, settled in Cedar Rapids. He was employed at Kwik Way, Marion, Iowa for about 20 years.
He volunteered in the Medical Records Dept., St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids from 1997-2003. He was a member of Hanford American Legion Post No 5, Cedar Rapids, and American MENSA, Ltd.
Bill treasured time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, the sights and sounds of nature-especially bird watching, and was an avid reader.

Survivors include two sisters Wilma Harford, and Lucille Bolton, and a brother Donald Wilkinson all of Cedar Rapids.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Esther Feo.
Dorothy was born December 25, 1922, in Iowa County to Samuel and Ressie Wilkins Wilkinson. She married
Kenneth Beebe on September 30, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri. He died October 23, 1993. She worked for 44 years for Borst Upholstery doing cutting and fitting. She was a very active member of Cedar Christian Church.

Edna Charlene Bosier, 76, loving mother and friend courageously passed into the hands of the Lord the morning of June 13, 2004, following a long battle with cancer. Pastor Dan Clark-Bridges will conduct a celebration of life service at Hope Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids on Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the church after 9:30 AM on Wednesday.
Edna was born June 23, 1927 on the family homestead in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1944. Edna came to Cedar Rapids in 1944 and married
Robert "Bob" Bosier on June 26, 1949. Edna was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids for over forty years. She was employed at Rockwell Collins for 32 years, from 1951-1983. Edna enjoyed family events, painting, family photography, traveling, big band music and dancing. Upon retiring Edna and Bob also enjoyed spending many winters vacationing in Florida. During their 49 years of marriage, Edna and Bob together raised eight children. Surviving immediate family members include three sisters Grace Sersland of Decorah, Nora Burgess of Marion, and Edith Schnoebelen of Cedar Rapids, Surviving children and their spouses include: David and Sonya Bosier of Cedar Rapids, Darrell Bosier and Pam Bueoy of Center Point, Dwight Bosier of Florida, Darlene and Lynn Shreeves of Cedar Rapids, Roberta and Benjamin Bolt of Florida, Rebecca and David McVay of Cedar Rapids, Constance and Merv Chandler of Cedar Rapids, and Darwin and Michelle Bosier of Pennsylvania. Also survived by 23 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Oscar William Monserud, her husband Robert Bosier, and her brother Wesley Monserud.
