Kitteile P. Donaldson, 54, of 4206 Twin Ridge Ct. SE, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, and Fort Worth, Texas, died Thursday, June 20, 2002, in University Hospital in Iowa City following a short illness. Services at 10 AM Saturday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 9 AM on Saturday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband Gordon, two daughters Kristin Donaldson of Lexington, Kentucky, and Lauren Donaldson of Cedar Rapids, her parents Martin and Dorothy Pike of Dallas, Texas, a brother Martin E. Pike III and wife Janet of Refugio, Texas, and a sister Sue Ann Chiuminatto of Dallas, Texas.
Kitteile was born October 2, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. She married
Gordon R. Donaldson on December 31, 1969 in Kingsville, Texas. She was a homemaker and completely devoted to her family and pets.
Karen Ann Bryer
Born in Topeka, Kansas on September 23, 1947

Karen Ann Bryer, 61, of Cedar Rapids died Tuesday June 30, 2009 at her home after a sudden illness. Memorial service and inurnment will be held at a later date in Topeka, Kansas. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday.
Survivors include her brother, Jody Bryer and nephew Carleton Bryer both of Topeka, Kansas as well as many friends in the Cedar Rapids area. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Karen was born on Sept. 23, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Joe and JoeAnn Howell Bryer. She worked at Verizon in customer service and also at City News as a clerk for several years. She was a very active volunteer with Theatre Cedar Rapids both back stage and at the box office. Karen always had a positive attitude; even though the flood of 2008 took her home she still remained up beat and always looked on the bright side of everything.
Memorial donations may be given to Theatre Cedar Rapids in Karen’s name.

Nial A. Dicken, 88, passed into the arms of his Lord, January 19, 2010 after a short illness. He was a resident of Crestview Acres Nursing Home in Marion.
Friends may call from 4-7 pm Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with the Rev. David Hohmann officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Nial was born in Dysart, Iowa on December 20, 1921 the son of Paul & Ruth Dicken of Dysart. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, LaVera and his parents.
Nial is survived by three stepchildren, Sandra (Eugene) Christensen of Elberon, David (Carleta) Holloway of Cedar Rapids, and Kay (Paul) Knight of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and cousins.
Nial worked at Brucemore for Howard Hall as a chauffer, houseman, butler, building superintendant and unofficial greeter for 24 years retiring in December of 1983. Nial served in the Navy during WWII, was a life member of V.F.W. Post #788, American Legion Post #298, Marion and a member of the First Congregational Church of Christ.
Nial enjoyed bowling and golf with his family and friends for many years.

Rebecca “Becky” Gwendolyn Evans Doolittle, 90, of the Methwick Senior Residences-Woodlands died Thursday, March 8, 2012.
A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 am Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4-7 pm Sunday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her spouse, Robert Allen Doolittle of Cedar Rapids, IA; Children: son: Allen Doolittle
(Jo Anne Ollerenshaw), James Doolittle (Donna), Melvin Doolittle (Jayne), Betty Hagglund (Bryan);
Sisters: Miriam Johnson (Frank); Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Steve (Haven), Tom, (June) Lauren, Will, Sarah (Adam), Gwen, Emily, Carolyn (Laurent), Andrew, Mark; 5 great-grand children: Samuel, Savannah, Noah, Chavah, and Ari.
Becky’s family life was built on the foundation of St Paul’s United Methodist Church. She was a long time member of the choir and, with her husband Bob, was among the founding members of the Family Fellowship class. As one of the early projects of the family fellowship class, Becky, her husband Bob, and other members, were instrumental in building the St. Paul’s Cottage at Clear Lake. Many from the Family Fellowship class became Becky and Bob’s life-long friends. Becky started her musical career, along with her 3 sisters, when she learned to play the trumpet, French horn, flugelhorn, and piano at the Salvation Army in Newton. She then attended Coe College, where she graduated with a degree in Music Education. Becky started her music-teaching career in Wilton Junction then moved to the Cedar Rapids School District, where she taught for many years at Hiawatha Elementary School. When not teaching in the public schools, Becky taught private piano lessons, where often her small daughter Betty sat listening under the grand piano.

Donna L. Buss, 55, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy on Saturday, June 20, 2009 after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, 1221 – 1st Avenue SW.
Donna, the youngest of three siblings, is now lost to her sisters, Jean Buss of Nevada and Peggy Frett (Dennis) of Illinois, her Aunt Velma and Uncles Thomas and Guerdon of Wisconsin, and many, many dear friends. Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Buss, and her grandparents.
Donna, a long time resident of Cedar Rapids, was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish. She recently retired from Options of Linn County, after 28 years, and was active in the Special Olympics programs. Her passions were her family and friends, animals, flowers, bowling, Elvis, the Iowa Hawkeyes and coffee.
All who have known Donna, loved her and shared her life – will miss her smile and gentle and caring heart.
A special thanks to the entire staff at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy for the loving care they extended to Donna during her stay. Donna would want us to say “thank you so much.”

Ruth Ann Burnell

Ruth Ann Burnell, 78, of 2219 C St. SW died Tuesday June 16, 2009 at Manor Care after a long illness. Services at 1:00 PM on Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Clayton Geoerge will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday.
Survivors include three sons, Edward (Donna) of Cedar Rapids, Kenneth (Dona) of Mt. Auburn and Richard (Michelle) of Oregon; two daughters, Donna Barnes and Ruth Warren both of Cedar Rapids, and one sister Maxcine Spores also of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Judy Morris and a great granddaughter, Sierra.
Ruth was born on January 16, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Earl and Hazel Waddington White. She married
Donald L. Burnell on July 15, 1946 in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1998. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, and going to the casino.
A memorial fund has been established in Ruth’s name.
