Roger Ray Cummings, 56, of Mechanicsville, died at home, Friday, June 8, 2007, as a result of an accident. Memorial Services: 9 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents Lloyd "Bud" and Ramona Cummings of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Robert Cummings and Francine; his nieces and nephews, Justin, Jennifer, Jessica, Joshua, Jordan, and Dominick; and good friends, Dale and Mary Williams and their son, Kevin, of Houston, TX.
Roger was born December 6, 1950 in Cedar Rapids to Lloyd and Ramona Cummings. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked in Corpus Christie for many years. Roger was an Army veteran of Vietnam serving with the 82nd Airborne Division.
Roger liked fishing, sailing, golf, running, and flying.

June Alberta Coleman Mitchell, 83, of 202 35th Street Dr. SE, Cedar Rapids, died June 29, 2007 at Garnett Place following a brief illness. Services are to be held Monday, July 2, 2007 at 1 PM in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Daniel Krueger of Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, July 1, 2007 from 3 PM to 5 PM, and at the chapel after 12:30 PM on Monday.
Survivors of June include her sons; Douglas Coleman and wife Betty, and Stanley Coleman and wife Deborah, her stepchildren; Mike Mitchell and wife Elena, Gail Havens, Deb Wiebold and husband Dan, Teresa Preston, and Dan Mitchell and wife Wanda, two sisters; Dorothy Waln and Betty Coleman, one brother; Howard Farrington, four grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clifton, her parents, five brothers; Francis, Walter, Carl, Warren, and Marvin Farrington, and a granddaughter; Carrie Anne Coleman.
June was born to Samuel and Ida Mae Thomas Farrington on June 5, 1924 in Martelle, Iowa. She married
Earl Coleman on July 17, 1944 and to this union two sons were born. She later married
Clifton Mitchell on October 1, 1977 at Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Woman's Auxiliary 298. June worked for Collin's Radio from November 1959 until her retirement in July 1982. In her free time June loved to dance, she also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and making crafts. A memorial fund has been established in June's name.

Richard P. Chandler, 75, 3130 Adirondack Dr. NE died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at his home following a brief illness. Funeral Services: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Surviving in addition to his wife Judy are two sons, Philip Chandler Van Anh of Camarillo, CA and Frank Chandler Lisa of Madison, WI; a daughter, Caroline Hasty Jim of Denver, IA; six step-children, Michael Carlton, Matthew Carlton Tina, Martin Carlton, Mark Carlton Jenny and Kelly Carlton all of Cedar Rapids and Kathryn Durman Luke of Walker; six grandchildren, Jenna, Angela, Amy, Brady, Tim, and Stephanie; a brother, Steve Chandler Elaine of North Ft. Meyers, FL; a sister, Judi Hoerner Bob Rutter of Cleveland, OH; a sister-in-law, Joan Chandler of Orchard, IA; 11 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Charles Chandler.
Richard was born November 19, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Phillip T. and Marie Gray Chandler. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1951, and the University of Iowa-College of Engineering in 1956. After graduation, he worked for several companies, including Cook Labs, Masonite in the Chicago area, Quaker Oats and the Chandler Company in Cedar Rapids. Rick founded CPI Sales in 1972. Starting with an office in his home he built CPI into a multi-state distributor of industrial and sanitary pumps and valves. In 1998 he sold CPI Sales to Central States Industrial Supply and enjoyed a wonderful retirement. He married
Catherine Wojniak in 1957 in Palos Heights, IL, raised three children, and they later divorced. He married
Judith Carlton in 1995 at Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Richard was a member of the Cedar Rapids Kiwanis Club and the Elks Club.
The family would like to thank all of the Doctor's and Nurses that cared for Rick. They were exceptional.

Jack L. Draker, 74, of 735 Winterberry Place NE, died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in his home surrounded by his family, following a long illness. Services at 10:30 AM Thursday in St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Father Donald Klein of St. Pius X Catholic Church will officiate. Entombment with military honors in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Wednesday with a Vigil service beginning at 6:30 PM.
Survivors include his wife Dolly, a son David Draker and wife Julie, three daughters Janet Widener, and Jackie Bailey and husband Mike, all of Cedar Rapids, and Jolene Kacere of Des Moines, a brother Charles Draker and wife Betty of Cedar Rapids, a sister Phyllis Kirsch and husband Bob of Charles City, Iowa, eight grandchildren, Max Hubbard and wife Janet, Brooke and Allison Kacere, Cassidy and Rylee Draker, and Austin and Michaela Bailey all of Cedar Rapids, and Abby Reid and husband Ryan of Robins. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Charlene Still, Marilyn MacDonald, and Marie O'Grady, and a son in law Charles Widener.
Jack was born February 12, 1929 in Hills, Iowa to Charles and Evelyn Dietsch Draker. He married
Dolly R. Rinker on July 30, 1955 in Bainbridge, Georgia. He was a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force and was a fighter pilot during the Korean War. For 25 years he was the corporate pilot for Martin Marietta and later retired from Rockwell Security Services. He was a charter member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He loved duck hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Marshall Trophy Shooters and the Marion American Legion Post No 298.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at St. Pius X Catholic Church or to Hospice of Mercy.
Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post No 298.

Beverly A. Clark, 57, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 23, 2007. Visitation will be at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 4PM to 7PM. Funeral services will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 3PM. Reverend Karla Burge will officiate the services.
Survivors of Beverly include her husband, Bill Clark Sr. of Cedar Rapids; her children, Angie Climer Steve of Vinton, Ronald Clark Kelley of St. James, Minnesota, Billy Clark Jr. Debbie of Marion, Mike Clark Lisa of Anamosa, Michelle Bentley Mark of Cedar Rapids, and Rhonda Clark of Cedar Rapids; her dad, Donald Dill of Vinton; her sister Barb Skalsky Don of Norway; her brother Clifford Vredenburg Esta of Darfur, Minnesota, fifteen wonderful grandchildren, two amazing great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
Her father, Eugene Vredenburg; her mother, Elizabeth Dill; her brother, Allan Eugene Vredenburg; and her son, Scott Clark, preceded Beverly in death.
Beverly was born on May 27, 1950 in Norway, Iowa. She was united in marriage with Bill Clark on January 9, 1990 in Rock Island, Illinois. Beverly worked for Rockwell Collins International in Coralville as an assembler. In her spare time she liked to play BINGO and also enjoyed playing cards. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed every minute she spent with them.
The family would like to express a great thanks to Beverly's grandson Jesse Climer for everything he did. Memorial contributions can be made in Beverly's name to the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Lora, two sons Douglas and wife Margaret of Cedar Rapids, and Kreg of Hiawatha, a daughter Devora Crosby of Cedar Rapids, two brothers Owen of Webster City, Iowa, and Victor of North Carolina, a sister Alice Atanasoff of Maryland, two grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew, and a great granddaughter Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Miriam and Marge.
Donald was born April 24, 1927 in Webster City, Iowa to William and Grace McConnell Crosby. He married
Lora J. Hosler on June 5, 1951 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State in 1956. He served with the US Airforce during the Korean War. He managed several manufacturing plants before retiring.
Military honors by Hanford American Legion Post No. 5.

Winnabell Cherry, 95, of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, formerly of Cedar Rapids, and Peoria, Illinois, died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, following a short illness. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 1 to 2 PM on Thursday.
Survivors include a daughter Jill Hooper and special friend Roy Oglesby of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, two sons Karroll Cherry and wife Florence and Ron Cherry and wife Belva all of Tucson, Arizona, two sisters Ida Lee Badding and husband Leonard of Savannah, Missouri, and Dora Mae Vogt of Oelwein, Iowa, four grandchildren, Rene' and husband David Spiringer, Diane and husband Neil Bentley, Randy and Brett Cherry, and two great-grandchildren Collin and Christina Spiringer. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold "Bud" Cherry of 55 years, and one granddaughter Debbie Cherry.
Winnabell was born August 22, 1911 in Vinton, Iowa to Lloyd and Matilda Donley Downing. She married
Arnold Cherry on June 8, 1942, he died in 1997. She lived her first 50 years in Cedar Rapids, the next 35 years in Peoria, Illinois, and the last 10 years in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. She enjoyed every moment of her life of which dancing was a big part. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
