Mary Kathryn (Fridgen) Feld, of Marion, died August 14, 2010. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion on Friday, August 20th, 2010 at 11 AM. Private inurnment will be held in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband John B. of Marion; two sons Stephen and wife Julia, of Marshalltown, Daniel and wife Dianne of Cedar Rapids; two daughters Angela Wilkinson and husband Blake of Marion, Terese Fisher and husband John of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving seven grandchildren, Joseph, Matthew, and Shelby of Marshalltown, Brian and Laura of Cedar Rapids, Jacob and Patrick of Marion. She was preceded in death by an infant son Patrick, son John L. Feld, daughter, Ann Marie Feld, her parents, and a brother Jules Fridgen.
Mary Kay was born December 27, 1934 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Angeline (LaValette) Fridgen. She married
John (J. B.) Feld on August 31, 1957 in Rochester, Minnesota.
Mary Kay had a great love of music and taught piano in her home for many years. Her love, laughter, and pleasing personality will be missed.
Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Linn Manor Care Center who treated her with such special loving care. Also, thank you to all of you who sent Mary Kay your best wishes and visited her during her last months. It meant a lot to her and her family.

: Orlo S. Eimen, 68, of 2200 Country Club Dr., Marion, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, in St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. Services at 11 AM Friday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Diana Hoover of St. Mark's United Methodist Church will officiate. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Thursday and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Friday.
Survivors include his wife Diane, son Jerry and wife Tami of North Liberty, Ia, and daughter Cindy Bys and husband Franklin of North Liberty, Ia., step mother Pauline Eimen of Williamsburg, Iowa, two sisters Helen Bluett of San Clemente, California, and Betty Ann Falls of Fallbrook, California, and five grandchildren, Rachel and Cody Eimen, and Ashley, Allison, and Ryan Bys. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Bonnie Eimen.
Orlo was born January 24, 1936 in Solon, Iowa, to Seth and Helen Reynolds Eimen. He married
Diane Abel on November 7, 1965 in Mason City, Iowa. He was an Engineer for Cedar Rapids Inc for 26 years, and had also worked for Cherry Burrell, and Universal Engineering. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Canopy Masonic Lodge No 290 in Oxford, Iowa, York Rite, Scottish Rite, and El Kahir Shrine in Cedar Rapids. He had been active in the Boy Scouts, Ham Radio, the Linn Mar Booster Club, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye Wrestling fan.

Lillian M. Frantz, 100, of Hiawatha, formerly of Palo, died September 14, 2010 at Promise House, Hiawatha. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call after 12:30 PM on Friday at the Chapel of Memories. Burial will take place at Palo Cemetery.
Surviving are her son Charles E. Frantz of Palo; 2 grandchildren; brother Bill Wiener of Minnesota; sister Mabel Christiansen of West Bend; her caregiver and friend Arlette Deines of Marion; and her adopted family Arlo and Arlene Pelley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, brothers Orville and Charlie, and sisters Ruby, Ann and Engel.
Lillian was born October 23, 1909 in Brookings County, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Minnie (Miller) Wiener. She was united in marriage to Charles M. Frantz on May 31, 1933 in Lancaster County, Nebraska. She was a graduate of Iowa State Teachers College and attended Coe College. She was a teacher at Palo Schools and later in the Cedar Rapids Community Schools. She will be remembered for her vibrant and caring personality.

Nicole Marie Evans, 22, 5831 Sanden Road NE died Monday, May 10, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital of a sudden illness. Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday at First Lutheran Church. Survivors include her parents, Michael and Janet Evans of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Chad Evans of Cedar Rapids; her grandparents, David and Peggy Schulze of Cedar Rapids; her great grandmother, Rachel Hanson of Cedar Rapids; her boyfriend, Corey Banes of Cedar Rapids; and several aunts; uncles; and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Mary Lou Evans, and her great grandfather, Art Hanson.
Nicole was born August 1, 1981 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of Michael and Janet Schulze Evans. She was an administrative assistant at Tanager Place, and a student at Kirkwood Community College for 2 years. Nicole was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her family and her friends, and she loved her animals, especially Abby and Toby.

Paul E. Fowler, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died March 27, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital following an extended illness. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Carroll Brown will officiate. Surviving are his children Dennis of Munds Park, AZ, Dick and wife Laura, Bill and wife Julie, and Susan Edmunds and husband Scott all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren Jef, Ann, Alex, Kate, Maggie, Beth, Ashley, Stephanie, and T.J.; great grandchildren Alayna, Charlotte, Lydia, and Liam; as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, and brothers Raymond, Earl, Eldon, Jerry, and Bob.
Paul Edmond Fowler was born November 16, 1920 in Coggon, Iowa the son of Thomas and Miranda (Aldrich) Fowler. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Jean Hermsen on May 14, 1942 in Cedar Rapids. She preceded him in death on September 1, 2003. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII. He started and owned P.E. Fowler Electric for over 40 years, later selling his business. He was a member of NECA, Tuesday Evening Optimist Club, the American Legion, the Ellis Twirlers dancing club, a past member of the Elks Club, and most recently joined the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Paul enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, dancing, and spending time at the family cottages at Lake Delhi and on the Mississippi River. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Harold R. Floyd

Harold R. Floyd, 83, of 951 Oakland Rd NE passed away Monday, June 21 at Manor Care Nursing home of congestive heart failure. Visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery where there will also be military rites. Rev. Rick Summerhays will officiate.
Survivors include his wife, Ardis; two daughters, Dixie Gail Thompson of Independence, Kathy Gary Louvar of Cedar Rapids, and a son, Allan Fran of Lakeland, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Shawn Louvar Reeves of Parker, Colorado, Kyle Nicole Louvar, of Houston, Texas, Denis Marcia Chavez and Tony Schmelzer fiancee' Amy Duehr of Cedar Rapids, Greg Janice Schmelzer of Independence, Cami Dr. Tim Smith of Bettendorf, Todd Leslie of Racine, Wisconsin, Dale Lourdes of Tampa, Florida, Doug Floyd and Anita Gray of Lakeland, Georgia; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dallas and Lena Floyd, a sister, Esther Halford, and brother, Donald.
Harold was born on a farm in Benton County on September 14, 1920. He married
Ardis Gardner on September 18, 1947 in Sterling, Illinois. He worked as a truck driver for Rock Island Motor Transit from 1951 1978 and retired from H & W Trucking in 1982. He then worked as a groundskeeper for his daughter and son-in-law at St. Andrews Golf Club through 1984. Harold served as a union steward for Teamster Local #238. He was a member of Hanford Post # 5 of the American Legion and the Teamster's Retirees Club. Harold was a PFC in the Army during WWII and served in Europe. He was a avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing with his son-in-laws and grandchildren.

Clemens A. Erdahl Sr

Clemens A. Erdahl Sr., 85, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Cottage Grove Place following a long illness. Services at 11 AM Monday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Pastor Ginny Bass of Amenity Hospice will officiate. Burial with military honors in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 3 to 5 PM on Sunday and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Monday.
Clem was born May 13, 1919, to Albert and Amanda Gunderson Erdahl and grew up through high school in the town of Rake, Iowa. He attended Waldorf College in Forest City. He graduated with honors from the University Of Iowa Business College with a degree in Accounting.
He married
Mary Louise Crozier on August 26, 1941, in Walford, Iowa. He was inducted as a private in the Anti-aircraft division of the Army. He fought in the battle of Kiska and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He was discharged in 1945 as a Lt. Colonel.
He was an international auditor for Price Waterhouse & Co. in New York City. He and his family resided in Scarsdale, New York until his retirement in June of 1979. As a Partner for 26 years he was fortunate to travel around the world responsible for the audits of such companies as IBM, United States Shipping Lines, and Ingersoll-Rand. From 1978-1979 he served as President of the National Association of Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. He was a life member of the Scarsdale, New York American Legion.
Clem was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf with family and friends at Elmcrest and Fairbanks Ranch. In his later years, despite being challenged by Parkinson's he was a joy to resident and staff alike at Cottage Grove.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Lou of Cedar Rapids, his daughter Catherine Erdahl of Cedar Rapids, his son Clemens II Roxanne, of rural Solon, and four grandchildren, Cory, Lily, Chase, and Colbin. He was preceded in death by one infant son, Christopher.
He is also survived by three brothers, Wallace, Elton Orpha, and Albert Jr. Marna, three sisters Grace Mickelson, Marvel Gary Sheller, and Emily John Duxbury, and four sisters-in-law, Marion George Meyer, Joy Beese, Jessie Crozier, and Bernice Crozier, and many nieces and nephews.
