Margaret Eichhorst, 80, a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, and a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, November 17, 2004, in the Care Center following a long illness. Funeral Mass at 10:30 Saturday at St. Ludmilas Catholic Church. Rev. Thomas J. McDermott will officiate. Burial will be private in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM on Friday with a Vigil service beginning at 6:30 PM.
Survivors include a son William and fiance' Mary Benda of Cedar Rapids, three daughters Judy Smith and husband William of Walker, Joyce Young and husband Bruce of Swisher, and Joan Dennison and husband Gary of Corcoran, Minnesota, two sisters Mary Anderlik of Barrington, Illinois, and Bernice Skarbek and husband Herb of Cedar Rapids, two brothers Clement Dermody and wife Blanche of Parnell, Iowa, and Arthur Dermody and wife Marietta of Williamsburg, Iowa, a sister-in-law Helen Frick and husband Harvey of Billings, Montana, 12 grandchildren, Angie Eichhorst, Allyson and Donald Kearney, Tony and Jacqueline Smith, Michelle and Gavin Harris, Kim and Aaron Benesh, Jesse Young, Jeni and Nate Poundstone, Bonnie and Scott McMahon, Chris Dennison, Bridget and Jason Morris, Jennifer and Scott Roberts, and Michelle Benda, and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother-in-law Ralph Anderlik. .
Margaret was born March 30, 1924 in Parnell, Iowa to Arthur and Mary Jane Duffy Dermody. She married
Reinhold G. "Dick" Eichhorst on February 14, 1948 in Cedar Rapids. He died December 1, 2000.
Margaret was a very active member of St. Ludmilas Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and a furrier at Armstrong's Department store.
Margaret was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

** Lois A. Ellwood, 84, of 5960 East Kacena Ave. in Marion died Sat. May 14, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services at 11 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Mike Morgan will officiate. Burial at Mt.Clark Cemetery in Central City. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Monday and at the Chapel after 10 AM on Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Marvin, a daughter, Suzanne Tom Pollard of Marion and their children, Melissa, Stacie and Dustin; a son Jay Mary Ellwood of Porter, Texas and his children, T.J., Jacob and Jesse, a great granddaughter, Paisley, sisters, Winnie Henderson, Edith Holub and a brother, Howard Burnside all of Central City. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mildred Smith.
Lois was born on June 5, 1920 in Central City the daughter of Wallis and Minnie Smith Burnside. She graduated from Central City High School. Lois married
Marvin F. Ellwood on Oct. 23, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was employed by several families in Marion to clean their houses and they always said, "No one did as good a job as Lois". She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. She loved playing cards with her friends at Scott Meadows and Scrabble with her sisters and brother. Lois also was a great pie maker, loving wife, mother, sister and grandma. She will be missed by many family and friends. Memorial donations may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Marion.

Barbara Ann Enyart, 67, of 3032 County Home Road, Marion, died at Mercy Medical Center, Friday, June 17, 2005, after a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the First Church of the Open Bible by the Rev. Charles Stevens. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home today from 4 to 7 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Billy; two sons, Richard Enyart of Cedar Rapids, and Larry Enyart of St. Louis, MO; a daughter Dot Styre of Robins; six brothers, Ben Rice of Winter Haven, FL, David, Gary, Carl, Jay, and Doug Rice, all of Findlay, OH; and a sister Ann Rice of Findlay, OH.
Also surviving are two daughters-in-law, Susan and Tricia; a son-in-law, Jon; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Barbara was born December 30, 1937 in Findlay, OH to Allen and Lillian Evick Rice. She married
Billy E. Enyart on May 26, 1955 in Catlettsburg, KY. They recently were able to celebrate their 50th anniversary. She was a nurses' aide for twenty years at St. Luke's Hospital and later for eleven years at Heritage Nursing and Rehab.
Barbara was a loving and caring person who never knew a stranger. Her family was her life. She was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible.

Robert Adkins Fuller

Robert A. Fuller, 85, of 230 - 11th Street NW, Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital from a short illness. He was born on October 20, 1924 in Norway, IA. Per his wishes, Robert's body has been donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine in the hope that someone would benefit from the experience. A celebration of life will be observed at a later date. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge or the arrangements.
Robert is survived by two sons David (Robin) Fuller of Cedar Rapids, and Douglas (Carla) Fuller of Walford and a brother, Richard (Tory) Fuller of Florida. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Florentine C. Forbes, 84, of Mercy Hallmar, died there on Sat. Aug. 21, 2004 after a brief illness. Services at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Mark Osterhaus will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4:30 to 7 PM on Monday where there will be a vigil service at 5:30 PM. There will also be a visitation at the Church after 9: 30 AM on Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, M. Marion, who is a resident at Mercy Hallmar and a daughter, Carol Forbes of Iowa City. She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Florentine was born on Dec. 9, 1919 in Mt. Carmel, the youngest of eight children to Joseph and Mary Dunck Goecke. She married
M. Marion Forbes on May 4, 1948 at Mt. Carmel. Florentine was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, St. Bernadette's Circle, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Matthew Serenaders and St. Matthew Resurrection Choir. She enjoyed travel with her family both in the United States as well as Canada. She loved the outdoors, tending her flowers, especially the Chrysler Imperial roses and hollyhocks. Memorial donation may be given to Hospice of Mercy in Florentine's name.
Gary Lee Fillenworth

Gary L. Fillenworth, 65, of Springville, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died September 30, 2010 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, from cancer with his family by his side. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, October 4, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife Kit Fillenworth; sons, Scott (Kim) of Marengo, Jeff (Heather), Brent (Denise) and Troy (Deanna) all of Cedar Rapids; step sons, Jason Kelly of Seattle, WA, Dennis (Sarah) Kelly of Coralville and Ryan Kelly of Springville; one sister Glenda Fillenworth of Cedar Rapids; and one sister-in-law Connie Fillenworth of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Hillary, Trent, Mariah, Hailee, Scott, Keegan, Kaleb, Alexis, Alaina, Andrew, Emily; nieces Brooke and Sam. He is also survived by his close companion Braxton (his dog).
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry.
Gary Lee Fillenworth was born January 6, 1945 in Cedar Rapids the beloved son of Harold and Lois (Pilgrim) Fillenworth. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Kit Tupper on August 22, 1997 in Cedar Rapids. He was employed for over 40 years as an Account Manager for the Mid Continent/Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. Gary enjoyed gardening with his wife, and was a member of the Harshbarger Hosta Society. He also enjoyed his Harley motorcycle, four wheeling, and wood working. Above all, his greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family. He will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.

Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. Arrangements are with Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Burial is private.
Survivors include his parents, Dodie and Randy Easton of Cedar Rapids; his sister, Dottie of Denver CO; his brother, R.J. of Cedar Rapids; his grandfather, Richard Moon of Colorado Springs, CO; his grandmother, Irene Easton of West Union, Iowa; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Richard was preceded in death by his grandmother, Muriel Moon and grandfather, Howard Easton.
Richard attended Hoover and Truman Elementary and Taft Middle Schools, all in the Cedar Rapids Community School District.
Richard inspired everyone he met and is thankful for the love and care he received throughout his life.
