Donald M. Fuller, 78, 5720 Golden Ct. NE died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at his home as a result of lymphoma. Services: 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church. Inurnment is private. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Duane Hix will officiate.
Surviving in addition to his wife Sue are four sons, Steven D. Fuller Kathy of Waterloo, Vance L. Fuller Barb, Bruce K. Fuller Jean, and Brian D. Fuller Julie all of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Norma Daubenberger Daryl of Quasqueton; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Doris, Elaine and Nancy; and two brothers, Dean and Robert.
Donald was born May 21, 1927 in Delaware County the son of M. Oliver and Cora M. Neal Fuller. He married
Shirley I. Sue Prindle on June 28, 1947 in Independence. Donald worked for Eastern Iowa Artificial Breeding Co. for 7 1/2 years, for Farm Bureau Insurance for 26 1/2 years and was a Business Consultant for 23 years. He was a charter member of Marion Cedar Rapids East Rotary Club. Donald was a member of Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder and Deacon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kenwood Park Presbyterian Church or to Hospice of St. Luke's.

Ruth Ann Fernandez, 77, of 3404 Queen Dr. SW went to her heavenly home on March 17, 2008. Services: 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jonathon Offt. Visitation will be today at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4-7 p.m. and after 12:00 p.m. at the church on Thursday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Burgess Jim of Cedar Rapids and Priscilla Stamp of Loveland, CO; a son, Wesley R. Fernandez of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Joyce Kroul Lloyd of Amana; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents; one brother; and one sister.
Ruth Ann Fernandez was born on May 6, 1930 to Edwin and Minnie Stohlman Hudepohl near Williamsburg. She received her education at St. Paul's Lutheran School and Williamsburg High. Ruth married
Robert R. Fernandez on November 8, 1952. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, reading, and her home. Ruth was very active at Trinity Lutheran Church. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her beloved treasures.

Donald K. Flack Sr., 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday March 18, 2010 at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center following a long battle with Parkinson’s. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Military Rites. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Martha of Cedar Rapids; sons, Don Jr. (fiancée Cindy) of North Liberty, Max (Kristine) and Mike (Mary) of Cedar Rapids; sister, Virginia Stout of Cedar Rapids and a sister, Rosemary Kerr Oskaloosa. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lena (Broomfleet) Flack, brothers, Emory, Jess, Jim, Bob; sisters, Louise and Lola.
Don was born in Ottumwa on June 22, 1923. He served in the Navy during World War II on the battleship U.S.S. Texas and destroyer Stringham, and was medically discharged in 1943. He was united in marriage to Martha Poline in December 12, 1943 in Lancaster, Missouri.
Don owned a barber shop for several years and taught at the Davenport Barber College when it first opened in the early 60’s. He worked for the Cedar Rapids School District for almost 20 years in both maintenance and mail departments, but his real love in life was entertaining others with his music. His own radio show in the 40’s on KBIZ Ottumwa (0n-air name “Duke”) led to him forming several bands, calling square dances, and yodeling his way into the hearts of countless friends and fans for over 60 years. Janet M. Freese, 96, of Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center, formerly of the Meth-Wick Community and a resident of Springville died Wednesday December 15, 2010 at Heritage after a long illness. Services at 11 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories where friends may call after 10 AM on Monday. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Irene (Fred) Horn and Elizabeth Ann (Kaj) Jensen all of Cedar Rapids; one son, Roy Melvin (Deb) Freese Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters, Thelma Baxter of Nampa, Idaho and Geraldine Lynn of San Diego, California. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Tricia, Monica, Brian, Katrina and Jared; three great grandchildren, Lucas, C.J. and Harrison and a former daughter-in –law, Susan Freese of Springville. She was preceded in death by her husband.
Janet was born on September 30 1914 in Stuart, the daughter of Loren and Nancy Craven. She married
Roy M. Freese on February 28, 1939 in Oskaloosa. He died in 1983. Janet graduated from the University of Iowa and was an elementary school teacher, retiring from the North Linn School District. She was a member of the Springville Presbyterian Church, and the Bell Choir at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She enjoyed music, playing cards, gardening, travel and in later years taught herself to bowl and play golf. Janet was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Ann Etscheidt, 72, of Cedar Rapids died December 26, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Rev. Donald Klein officiating. Friends may call Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 pm with a vigil service starting at 6 pm. Entombment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include her three sons, Bob (JoLynne) of Iowa City, Don of Cedar Rapids and Bill J. (Tammy) of Newhall; Brothers, Norman (Dorothy) Delphey of Harpers Ferry, Richard (Mary Kay) Delphey of Harpers Ferry, Fred (Jeanene) Delphey of Waukon; Sisters, Diana (Duane) Engel of Tipp City, OH, Pam Delphey (Tom Gayther) of Waukon.
Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, Amber and Aaron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Julie, triplet granddaughters, Kate, Emily & Sara.
Mary Ann Delphey was born December 9, 1937 in Harpers Ferry, IA the daughter of Arthur and Patricia (Cavanaugh) Delphey. She married
William C. Etscheidt on August 22, 1959 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Mary Ann worked at Rockwell Collins, operated an in home daycare for many years and most recently at K’s Merchandise until they closed. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and the Tuesday morning Joy Group. She enjoyed gardening, collecting dolls, volunteering at St. Pius and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by all.

Frieda E. Epperson, 96, of the Keystone Nursing Care Center in Keystone formerly of Cedar Rapids died at the Care Center on Saturday December 19, 2009 after a long illness. Private family services on Tuesday, December 29th at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Monday December 28th.
Survivors include a son, Jerry of Cedar Rapids, three daughters, Eleanor McElree of Marion, Helen Kopecky of Cedar Rapids, Elizabeth Boltz of Waterloo and a sister, Elsie Wilson of Vinton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Viola Vaupel of Vinton. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and one sister.
Frieda was born on March 21, 1913 in Kuchen, Germany, the daughter of Justus and Gertrude Umbach Vaupel. She married
John R. Epperson on Aug. 12, 1931 in Dixon, Illinois. He died in 1994. Frieda worked at New Process Laundry and retired from there after many years of service. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Kathleen A. Epperson

Kathleen A. Epperson, 76, of Marion, died Thursday November 26, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center following a lingering illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Survivors include her children, Wendy Sue Jones (Thomas) of Cedar Rapids, Beverly Jean Hunter (Matthew) of Jacksonville, Alabama, Wayne Emery Epperson (Susan) of Shellsburg and Linda Kay Moses (Joe) of Ely. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Leroy Epperson, her daughter, Arlene Rose Epperson, a brother, Kenneth Mettler and a son in law, Andrew Boots.
Kathleen was born September 11, 1933 in Hopkinton, Iowa the daughter of Alfred and Naomi Miller Mettler. She married
John Leroy Epperson on April 13, 1958 in Center Point, Iowa. Kathleen was a Day Care Provider and later worked at Options of Linn County. She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, nature and spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation in lieu of flowers.

Rose Marie Erusha, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center following a massive stroke. Funeral Mass by All Saints Catholic Church at Immaculate Conception Church will be held 9:30 AM, Saturday, November 21, 2009. Rev. David O’Connor will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, November, 20, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home where a vigil service will begin at 4:00 PM by Rev. James Blocklinger.
Surviving are her children Rose Mary Erusha, Steve Erusha and wife Peggy, Pamela E. Johnson and husband Sam, and David and wife Kathy all of Cedar Rapids, and brother Jack Cosgrove and wife Dilla also of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are her grandchildren Emily Hilleque and husband Gordon, Jon Illian and wife Kirsten, Stephanie Erusha, Daniel Erusha and wife Amy, Elizabeth Kinneberg and husband Doug, Tim R. Johnson and Ben E. Johnson; and great grandchildren Michael, Bryson, and Elisebeth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon, and sister T. Elaine Benson
Rose Marie Erusha was born August 26, 1929 on a farm near Ryan, Iowa, the daughter of Walter D. and Gertrude A. (McEnany) Cosgrove. She was united in marriage to Vernon E. Erusha on July 29, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church in Cedar Rapids. Vern preceded her in death on September 8, 2008. She will be remembered throughout her life as being a fulltime mother and professional volunteer. She was active in the Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary, holding the office of President, and also was on the Mercy Board of Directors. Throughout her time at Mercy she accounted for over 40, 000 volunteer hours. She was instrumental in the first Mercy Designer Showcase, the first baby car seat safety program, and was an integral part of the success of the Mercy Gift Shop. She also volunteered on several PTA committees and as president at the Hayes, Wilson, and Jefferson Schools; while being a den mother for boy scouts and a camp fire leader. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church where she was active in St. Theresa’s Circle. She previously was very active with her husband at St. Ludmilla’s Church. She was a longtime member of Elmcrest Country Club. She enjoyed every moment she was able to spend with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
