Steven A. Freeman, 57, of Edwardsville, IL, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died at University Nursing and Rehabilitation on May 31, 2009. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Tom Felts will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his brothers David Freeman and wife Jane of Granite City, IL and Thomas Freeman and wife Laura of Apopka, FL, 2 nieces and one great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steven Allan Freeman was born May 29, 1952 in Cedar Rapids to Emery A. and Fleta (Clarke) Freeman. He graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. He was employed at Barron Motor Supply for over 20 years, retiring due to M.S. He enjoyed working on cars, and boating. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Mutiple Sclerosis Society.
Raymond Dale Fifield

Raymond D. Fifield, 79, of 8014 Rolling Rd. in Toddville died Saturday June 6, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Graveside services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Dunkard Cemetery in Midway. Per Ray’s request there will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, two daughters, Grace and Debbie, two step-sons, Larry (Pam) Cohn of Springville, and Roland (Sylvia) Massow of Robins, a step-daughter, Susan Godley of Las Vegas, Nevada and a brother, Gaylord of Waterloo. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Ray was born on April 26, 1930 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Forrest and Effie Kelsey Fifield. He married
Marjorie C. Cohn on Nov. 9, 1972 in Marion. Ray worked as a custodian for the Cedar Rapids School System for 25 years, retiring in 1992. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War. Ray enjoyed farming, flowers, doing crafts, animals, especially horses and spending time with his beloved family. A memorial fund has been established in Ray’s name.

Agnes E. “Aggie” Fleagle, 87 of Cedar Rapids died Monday June 29, 2009 at Mercy Medial Center after a short illness. Funeral Mass: 10:00 AM on Thursday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. David Ambrosy will officiate. Burial at St. John’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday where there will be a vigil service at 6:30 PM. Friends may also call at the Church after 9:00 AM on Thursday.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger (Steve) Hull and Sherry Decker both of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by a grandson, Scott (Stacie) Hull of Cedar Rapids and two great grandchildren, Alexis and Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, Frank and Jerry Navratil and two sisters, Mary Burlingham and Fran Crump.
Agnes was born on Dec. 26, 1921 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Frances Popelka Navratil. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus Catholic High School where she enjoyed playing basketball. She married
LaVerne B. " Buff'" Fleagle on Dec. 1, 1942 in Cedar Rapids. He died in 2004. Agnes was the owner and operator of the White Elephant for 16 years, retiring in 1986. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf, crocheting, watching sports and especially time spent with her many friends and beloved family.
Memorial donations may be given to the St. Matthew’s Renovation and Renewal Project.
James Ray Fisher

James Ray Fisher, 76, of 1424 Hickory Hollow Rd, Solon, died peacefully Sunday, July 5, 2009, with his family present in his home following a long illness. Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday in Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Sheryll Untiedt of the Shueyville United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial with military honors in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the chapel after 12:30 PM on Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years Joanne, four sons Alan and wife Laura of Solon, Eric and wife Rebecca of Granby, Colorado, Todd and wife Denise of Ely, and Drew and wife Kristie of Solon, four brothers Bert and wife Jo of Crawford, Nebraska, Bill and wife Dorothy of Swisher, Ed and Shirley of McAllister, Montana, and Bernie and wife Ardie of Helena, Montana, and eleven grandchildren, Cody, Kyle and wife Danielle, James, Katie, Samantha Sexton and husband Derrick, Jessica Herold and husband Chad, Charlie and wife Andrea, Andrew, Nicholas, Kennedy, and Taylor, and two great grandchildren, Elle and Aven. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Geraldine.
James was born December 17, 1932 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Arthur and Edna Minick Fisher. He married
Joanne Lundquist on April 5, 1953 in Florence, Oregon. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He received the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. He owned and operated Fisher Drywall. He enjoyed shooting sports, horses, ice cream, and his dog Duke.
James was a Godly man, loving husband, wonderful father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Military honors by Marion American Legion Post No 298.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Roland L. “Rolly” Frink, 77, of Marion died Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Monday, July 13, 2009 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with the Rev. William Harnish officiating. Inurnment with military honors in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial gathering with be held from 10:30 am until service time at the chapel on Monday.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Marge) Frink; Daughters, Kathy George (Jim) of Stone City, Sandi Frink (Denis Martel) of Marion; Son, Steve Frink (Becky) of Cedar Rapids; Sisters, Jan Cecil (Jon) of Peoria, IL, Linda White (Richard) of Wadsworth, IL; Brother, Robert Frink (Robert Reilly) of New York, City, NY; 6 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandson, Jeremiah “JJ” George.
Roland was born May 12, 1932 in Lisbon, IA the son of Leslie & Mamie (Stock) Frink. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then married
Margaret Pillard on September 15, 1952 in New Mexico. He was a member of the Marion American Legion Post #298, Electrical Workers’s Local #405 for 55 years, enjoyed fishing/ice fishing especially for crappies & bluegills, antiques, morel mushroom hunting, camping and enjoyed his workshop in his basement.
Geraldine (Gerry) Irene Fahnle

Geraldine (Gerry) Irene Fahnle 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday July 16, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Funeral Mass will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Jude’s Catholic Church by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. A visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.
Burial: Watkins Cemetery.
Geraldine is survived by her husband of 67 years, George, five children, Louise Michal, Lutz, Florida, Bruce (Sharon) Fahnle, Inman S.C., Jacob (Theresa) Fahnle, Sarah (Robert) Essig, Pete (Julie) Fahnle, all of the Cedar Rapids area, a sister Luella Johnson of Vinton, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Joe Michal, 2 grandsons and 5 brothers and sisters. She was an active member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. She loved to play bingo, cards and visit the casino.
Geraldine was born March 1, 1922 in Newhall, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Julia (Sevening) Boddicker. She married
George Fahnle at St. Patrick’s Church in Cedar Rapids and attended Paris Beauty School of Cosmetology.
Gerry took great pride in her family and children. She felt they were the greatest accomplishment of her life.
