Marie A. Gruenewald, 88, of Northbrook Manor, formerly of Hiawatha, died Wed. Aug. 4, 2004 at St. lukes Hospital after a long illness. Services at 10:30 AM on Monday at St. Pius X Catholic Church where friends may call after 9:30 AM on Monday. Entombment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral HoHome is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a stepson, Steve Tatro of Electric, TX. She is also survived by two nieces, Sylvia, of St. Louis, MO. and Annie of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and and a brother, Otto.
Marie was born on Aug. 13, 1915 in St Louis, MO. the daughter of Otto and Elizabeth Kampmann Haldenwanger. She married
Walter Gruenewald on Aug. 31, 1940 in St, Louis, MO. He died in the mid 80s. Marie worked in housekeeping at St. Luke's Hospital for several years. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Cedar Rapids Stamp Club and the Izaak Walton League.

Jordan Anthony Grosclaude, 6, 2920 Winston Circle, Marion, died Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from a very rare form of Leukemia known as JMML. He will be greatly missed.
Jordan, the beloved son of Jeff and Susan Grosclaude, was born June 28, 1998 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. While his time here on earth was brief he touched the hearts of so many. Jordan will be remembered always for his wonderful sense of humor, amazing attitude and love for those around him. He was famous for his incredible love of Caterpillar construction equipment. Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Mitchell of Marion; grandparents, Jane and Larry Jenkins of Shellsburg, Ia and Sharon and Dennis Grosclaude of Palm Springs, CA and his pals Kona his cat and Keisha his dog. Mary L. Gardner, 73, of 1560 Havenwood Ct. NE died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Services at 1 PM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Harlan Gillespie will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday and at the Chapel after 12:30 PM on Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Chuck, two daughters, Anne Jones, her husband Terry and their children Jillian and Catherine of Cedar Rapids and Ginny Kremer, her husband Dan and their children, Nathan and Hannah of St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary was born on Aug. 11, 1931 in Vinton, the daughter of Russell and Louise Thomas Ward. She graduated from Vinton High School and married
Charles W. Gardner in Vinton on June 17, 1956. Mary was a homemaker, a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church and PEO Chapter JI. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several bridge groups. Mary loved time spent with her family and will be greatly missed by them and her many friends. Memorial donations may be given to PEO Cottey College, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Meth-Wick Community or the Witwer Center in Mary's name.

George W. Gable, 85, of the Woodlands at the Meth-Wick Community, died there, Friday, December 3, 2004, after a long illness. Services: 3 p.m. Monday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Jack Kendall. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. at the Chapel.
Survivors include a son Vic Marji Gable of Perrysburg, OH; three daughters, Holly Meyer and Abby Tom Lasecki of Cedar Rapids, Julie Mark Brewer Schultz, Elberon; eight grandchildren, Zach Kelly Schultz and Nic Amanda Masters Schultz, all of Marion, Amanda Adam Whitlatch Gable of Coos Bay, OR, Aubrey Schultz, Marcus Meyer, and Sarah Lasecki, all of Cedar Rapids, Adam Gable of USMC, and Mary Meg Gable of Perrysburg, OH; three great grandsons, Brayden Schultz of Cedar Rapids and Chayse and Tanner Schultz, both of Marion; two brothers, Robert Elsie Gable and Fred Nancy Gable, all of Cedar Rapids; and a special friend, LaVerna Cecil.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Ann; and a brother, John.
George was born October 20, 1919 in Cedar Rapids to Edward and Nannie Gable. He married
Ruth Ann Hasek there on March 9, 1946. He worked for Cryovac for over 33 years, retiring in 1984 . George was an 18 year member of the Civil Service Commission; the Elks, and served as Officer McGruff for the Linn County Sheriff's Department.

Sandra Kay Gail, 51, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Cedar Rapids, went to be with the Lord, on Friday, December 3, 2004, at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson after a long battle with breast cancer. Funeral services at 1 PM Thursday at First Church of The Open Bible by Dr. Charles Stevens and Pastor Rick Gail. Interment in the First Presbyterian Church cemetery near Ely, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 6 PM Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, and at the church after noon on Thursday.
Survivors include her husband Rev. Donald Gail, her children Jody Garland Wiley of Kentucky, Melissa Gail and Ondria Wilson Gail both of Tucson, five grandchildren Linda, David, Christy, Jeremy, and Yvette, and one great-granddaughter Jessica, her mother Doris Floyd of Ely, and three sisters Sherry Winters Michael of Osage, Susan Feyerabend Les of Ely, and Shelly Huffer Denny of Alburnett. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph F. Floyd.
Sandra was born October 20, 1953 in Cedar Rapids. She married
Donald E. Gail on May 7, 1983 in Cedar Rapids.
Sandy loved being a Pastors wife as it gave her many opportunities to serve others. Her joy in life was to play the organ and lead worship services at their church. Sandy loved sharing her faith in Jesus with everyone and leading many to the Lord. She touched many lives and will be missed by all.

Helen E. Green 89, of 3215 Dalewood Ave SE, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, in the Winslow House Care Center in Marion following a long illness. Funeral Mass at 10 AM Tuesday in All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. David O'Connor officiating. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Monday with a Vigil Service beginning at 6:30 P.M., and at the church after 9:30 AM on Tuesday.
Survivors include her son Michael Green of Marion, her daughter Kathy Hein and husband Robert of Dubuque, and her daughter-in-law Sue Green of Cedar Rapids, and her brother-in-law Bill Green and wife Janice of Cedar Rapids.
Also survived by 6 grandchildren, Laura Green and significant other Matt Mauren, and Erin Green, Brian Hein and wife Elly, Sara Hein, Heather Schoonover and husband Brian, and Kari Green, and two great-grandchildren Jacob Mauren, and Aspen Hein. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son David, a brother Alfred Berry III, and two sisters Eleanor Holmes, and Marge Chapman.
Helen was born September 23, 1915 in Bertram, Iowa, to Alfred and Mary Kilgour Berry. She married
LaVerne Green on December 13, 1939 in Cedar Rapids. LaVerne died on April 5, 1981.
Helen was a legal Secretary for Simmons Perrine Albright and Ellwood PLC for over 30 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Legal Secretaries Association. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and was excellent at doing crossword puzzles.
Helen devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Darold E. Gullickson, 65, of 3410 26th Avenue, Marion, died at Mercy Medical Center, Saturday, August 20, 2005, of an apparent heart attack. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Mike Morgan of the First United Methodist Church, Marion. Private Family Burial: Lone Tree Cemetery, Lone Tree. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. and after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; a daughter Cathy Jim Wallerich of Marion; his mother, Georgia Gullickson of Cloquet, MN; aunts, Irene Gullickson of Wahpeton, ND, and Georgia Peach of Belcourt, ND; sister-in-law, Ardis the late Dan Coffman and daughter Teresa of Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law, Quentin Kathy Coffman and son Dan of Eldridge; and many cousins and their children.
Darold was born August 26, 1939 in Cloquet, MN, the only son of Gunder and Georgia Peach Gullickson. He graduated from Cloquet High School, Dunwoody Institute in the Twin Cities, MN, and Cornell College, Mt. Vernon. Darold married
Marilyn Coffman on January 19, 1974 at Zion Lutheran Church, in Cloquet, MN. He retired from Rockwell Collins in April, 2005 after 33 years. Ten of those years were spent at the Salt Lake City, UT, facility.
In Utah he was very active at Trinity United Methodist Church, Kearns; the Utah/Western Colorado District of the United Methodist Church and, along with his daughter Cathy, in Bethel No. 16, and Jobs Daughters in Midvale, UT. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Marion; Crescent Lodge No. 25, A.F. & A.M.; Cedar Rapids Consistory; El Kahir Shrine; and was currently serving as Worthy Patron of Malta Chapter, O.E.S., all of Cedar Rapids.
In recent years, he and Marilyn enjoyed vacationing in time-share condos throughout the western United States. Darold enjoyed woodworking and always had projects underway for his home.
