Lillian Jeanette Hall, 86, of Muscatine, died at the Lutheran Home on Sat. Dec. 15, 2001 after a long illness. At Lillian's request there will be no visitation. Inurnment in Davenport. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
Suriviors include a son, Francis Bodman I. and his wife, Patricia and a sister, Margaret Street all of Muscatine. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, a granddaughter and a great granddaughter.
Lillian was born on March 29, 1915 in Davenport, the daughter of John and Daisy Colby Ravenscraft. She married Elmer Hall Sr. He died in 1965. A memorial has been established in her name. Lillian was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends

Russell F. Hauskins

Russell F. "Bud" Hauskins, 76, of 2213 Westdale Drive SW, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, January 02, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held Saturday, January 5 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with Rev. Ed Gregory officiating. Military services to be performed by the American Legion Hanford Post #5. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the Chapel after 12:00 on Saturday.
Russell is survived by two sons, Stephen Connie Hauskins of Cedar Rapids and Jody Lori Hauskins of Coggon; two daughters, Deborah J. West of Cedar Rapids and Julie E. Bean of Toddville; three brothers, Howard D. Hauskins and Donald O. Hauskins both of Cedar Rapids and David E. Nadine Hauskins of Grand Rapids, MI and a sister Birdella Clyde Hensley of Vista, CA. He had 5 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ward Hauskins and a granddaughter Shannon Bean.
Russell was born February 9, 1925, the son of Orville James and Dorothy Alice Ward Hauskins. He graduated from high school and attended Coe College. He worked at Universal Engineering as a machinist for 22 years retiring February 1, 1987. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 13 years. He loved his church home and had many friends there. He served his country in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post Hanford Post #5. Russell volunteered at Mercy Medical Center accumulating over 3900 hours of volunteer service to the hospital. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandsons very much and will be missed by us all. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of CCU and Zone 71 at Mercy Medical Center for their kindness. A memorial fund has been established. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.

Leatha I. Herold

Leatha I. Herold, 88, a resident of Northbrook Manor, died Monday, January 14, 2002, in Mercy Medical Center from complications of a stroke. Services at 11 AM Friday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Karen Downey Beals of the Olivet Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Friday.
Survivors include a daughter Kristen A. Bozanek, and husband Francis M. of Cedar Rapids, a son Tom of Texas, a granddaughter Shelly Roman and husband Rick of Cedar Rapids, a grandson Steven Bozanek and wife Lori of Marion, three great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, and a much loved niece, Diane Penrod Maller of Wheaton, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 22, 1990, her parents, and two brothers George L. Penrod, and James P. Penrod.
Leatha was born July 21, 1913, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of George W. and Cora Lewison Penrod. She married Herbert A. Herold on October 15, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, where she has made her home since 1928. She was a member and deacon of Olivet Presbyterian Church and a member of the Esther Ward Circle of King's Daughters and Sons.
Memorial contributions may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church.

Basil L Harris Sr
Born in Blythedale, MO. on March 21, 1920

Basil L. 'Big Rock' Harris Sr., 81, of 1328 First ST. SW, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, in S. Luke's Hospital following a long illness. Services with military honors at 10 AM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Gary Sneller of Cedar Christian Church officiating. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Monday and at the chapel after 9 AM on Tuesday.
Survivors include a son Basil Jr. of Cedar Rapids, three daughters Mary Miller and husband Larry of Atkins, Bonnie Fencl of Solon, and Grace Clinton and John Gordinier of Cedar Rapids, a sister Iris Waddilove and a brother Thurman Harris both of Cedar Rapids, fourteen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers Archie, Arden, and Charles Jr., a sister Zelma Kasner, and three grandchildren, Richard Hathaway, and Christopher and Christine Fencl.
Basil was born March 21, 1920 in Blythedale, Missouri to Charles and Grace Moore Harris. He married Pearl N. Parmer on July 26, 1941, in Kahoka, Missouri. She died May 2, 1998. Basil was a foreman and worked in the stockroom at Cherry-Burrell for over 40 years. He was a member of Cedar Christian Church, U.A.W. Local 1024 where he had served as Vice President, Chief Steward, and on the negotiating team. He was a member of the Cedar Rapids softball Hall of Fame and had played fast pitch and slow pitch for several years. He served in the US Army during WW II. He enjoyed sports with his grandchildren.
Basil was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Basil's family would like to thank Dr. Charles Pruchno and the St. Luke's Staff on the 4th and 5th floors and intensive care for their special care of Basil.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dale W. Heyer, 56, of 1356 Eagle View Dr., Marion, died Friday, April 26, 2002 in Mercy Medical Center following a short illness. Services at 11 AM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial with military honors in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Monday and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Tuesday.
Survivors include two daughters Donna Heyer of Cedar Rapids, and Melinda Packebush and husband Darin of Spirit Lake, Iowa, his parents Edward and Evelyn Heyer of George, Iowa, a sister Carol Labodie of George, Iowa, three brothers Wayne of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Roger of Nisswa, Minnesota, and Monty of Mankato, Minnesota, a niece Michele Heyer and nephew Daniel Heyer.
Dale was born October 28, 1945 in George, Iowa. He was employed by Alliant Energy as an electrician for 38 years and had worked at the Duane Arnold Energy Center. He served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War and had also served with the Air National Guard and the US Air Force Reserve. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 284 AFL-CIO.

Dorris F. Hanover
Born in St. Louis, MO. on December 23, 1920
Departed on May 7, 2002. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Dorris F. Hanover, 81, of 446 18th Street NW, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002 in Linn Manor Care Center in Marion, following a long and courageous battle against cancer. Services at 10 AM Friday in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. Rev. Randy Kasch will officiate. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday and at the church after 9:30 AM on Friday.
Survivors include her husband Clayton, two sons Larry Hanover and wife Robin of Marion, and Daniel Hanover of Brooklyn, Iowa, a daughter Barbara Richardson of Marion, and three grandchildren, Wendy Hanover and Todd and Brett Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Virginia Heiss and Cleta Meyers, and a brother Charles Votava.
Dorris was born December 23, 1920 in St. Louis, Missouri to Yaro and Ruth Smith Votava. She married Clayton E. Hanover on December 27, 1938 in Vinton, Iowa. She worked in accounting at Penick - Ford for 15 years and then was one of the first meter maids for the Cedar Rapids Police Department. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Dorris was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lynn Renee Hull

Lynn Renee Robertson Hull, 49, of 1410 E Ave N.E. died Wednesday May 15, 2002 in her home following a long illness. Memorial services 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel Of Memories. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Blair Frank from Trinity Methodist Church will officiate. Cedar Memorial is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Ronald Hull, a brother, Keith Robertson of Des Moines, her aunt, Meda Lawson of Ft Dodge, and mother-in-law, Florence Hull of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Miriam Robertson and Father-in-law Merlin Hull.
Lynn was born April 10, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Glenn Robertson and Miriam Lindaman Robertson. She married Ronald Hull on April 23, 1994 at Trinity Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Jefferson High School, Kirkwood Community College and received a B.A. degree from Coe College. She was employed by the Gazette Communications in advertising since 1992. Renee enjoyed making quilts and giving the to people.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.

Helen Elaine Healey Dunn
Born in Millersburg, IA. on August 12, 1914
Departed on June 20, 2002. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Helen Elaine Healey Dunn, 87, of 2301 Aspen Lane NE, died in her home on Thursday, June 20, 2002. Services: 11:00 AM Tuesday, United Methodist Church, Millersburg, Iowa, by the Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer and the Rev. Kathleen Moore. Burial: Community Cemetery, Millersburg, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 PM Monday at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, and after 9 AM Tuesday at the church. A prayer and remembrance service will be held at the end of the visitation on Monday at 7:30 PM at Cedar Memorial.

Helen was born August 12, 1914, the daughter of John Burke and Bessie Montross Healey near Millersburg, Iowa. She attended Millersburg Consolidated Schools, graduated from Coe College, and completed additional course work in education at UNI and the University of Iowa. For over 26 years she taught school and was a lifetime member of the NEA. During her teaching career, Helen taught every grade level and also served as school principal.

On October 2, 1937, she was united in marriage to T. Winton Dunn in Lancaster, Mo. They farmed near Millersburg during the early years of their marriage and moved to Cedar Rapids in 1953. The were blessed with three sons and three daughters who survive her: John Winton Jack and wife, Janet, of Santa Clarita, CA; Steven Burke and wife, Marilyn, of Stone Mountain, GA; Thomas Brian and wife, Sheila, of West Des Moines; Marilyn Joyce Jill Bristow and husband, Jim, of Hemet, CA; Janet Irene Avery and husband, Michael, of Hemet, CA; Shirley Louise Peckosh and husband, Kenneth, of Robins. Survivors also include 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many cousins, who she viewed as her brothers and sisters, and the relatives, friends, and her students who brought so much joy to her life. He husband, her parents and infant brother, Kenneth Dean, preceded her in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Millersburg United Methodist Church or St. Luke's Hospice.
