Geraldine L. "Gerri" Heald, 84, of 2801 27th Ave, Marion, died Sunday, December 12, 2004, in Mercy Medical Center following a short illness. Services at 11 AM Wednesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Private interment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday and at the chapel after 10:30 AM on Wednesday.
Survivors include her husband Don, a son Terry Heald and wife Peg of Marion, two grandchildren, Julie Heald of Cedar Rapids, and John Heald and wife Jeanne of Marion, a brother Robert Preis and wife Betty of Burlington, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Jacki Hoyt.
Gerri was born September 9, 1920 in Casper, Wyoming to John and Marie Parson Preis.
Gerri enjoyed sports especially golf and bowling, sponsoring a bowling team for many years. She was past president of Ellis Women's Golf Club, and a member of Indian Creek Country Club for several years. She loved to travel, having visited many countries.
The love of her family and friends was the most important part of her life.
We loved her and will miss her.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Wilma M. Hall
Born on May 27, 1916
Departed on April 15, 2006. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Wilma Hall, 89, a resident of Northbrook Manor died Saturday, April 15, 2006 following a lingering illness. Services: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation or viewing. The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate.
Survivors include her husband Theron; two daughters, Karen Reid Donald of Blair, NE and Carol Sander Junior of Lowden; four grandchildren, Pam Williams Mark, Jeff Reid Jennie, Cathy Noska Loren and Julie Brown Chad; nine great grandchildren; nieces, nephews; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Wilma was born May 27, 1916 in Central City the daughter of Charles Ray and Leila R. Henderson Mills. She married Theron L. Hall on June 28, 1940 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was an elementary school teacher for the country schools in and around Central City, and she was a substitute teacher for the Cedar Rapids School System. Wilma was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Breast Cancer Research Center.

Robinette L. Hoppe
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on September 3, 1957
Departed on April 8, 2006. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Robinette L. Hoppe, 48, of 4420 Bowling St. SW, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, in Mercy Medical Center following a sudden illness. Services at 6:30 PM Wednesday at Turner East Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside services and burial in Linwood Cemetery at 10 AM on Thursday. Friends may call from 3 PM to service time on Wednesday.
Survivors include her daughter Leah Hoppe and fiance' Mark Bolton, granddaughter Brooke Bolton, her mother Donna Hood and husband Bill, and father Carl and wife Cathy Hoppe, and sister Tracy Gay Stephens all of Cedar Rapids. Also survived by three stepbrothers Tim Yerkes, and Ed Yerkes, both of Cedar Rapids, Robert Hood and a stepsister Wanda Ekman both of Ft. Lauderdale, a niece Heidi Stephens, and two nephews Andrew Stephens, and Trent Hoppe, and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a step sister Denise Yerkes
Robinette was born September 3, 1957 in Cedar Rapids. She volunteered at Olivet Presbyterian Church, the Madge Phillips Center, Virgil Gooding's Dinner at Our House, and volunteered for other organizations aiding to women and children. She was a NASCAR and Iowa Hawkeye fan.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Nancy Diane Hoyle
Born on January 1, 1949

Nancy Diane Hoyle, 57, of Shellsburg, died Friday, April 7, 2006, in her home following a short illness. Services at 1 PM Tuesday in Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after noon on Tuesday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include her father Leo Smith of Cedar Rapids, her children, Gretchen Hoyle of Cedar Rapids, Matt and wife Melissa Hoyle of Shellsburg, Aaron Hoyle of Cedar Rapids, Andy Smith of Cedar Rapids, and Kenny and wife Nikki Oliver of Cedar Rapids, two sisters Dixie Stumpff and Bonnie Cook both of Cedar Rapids, a brother Ted and wife Linda Smith of Cedar Rapids, 13 grandchildren, special nephews Chris and Nick Stumpff both of Cedar Rapids, and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Smith.
Nancy was born January 1, 1949 in Cedar Rapids to Leo and Billie Ramsey Smith. She enjoyed being with her family and listening to music.
She was a homemaker and a mother to many. She always put family and friends first. She was cherished and will be greatly missed by all.

Chester "Chet" Edwin Helland
Born in Thompson, IA on December 31, 1932

Chet Helland, 72, of 1945 C. Ave NE, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005, in his home following a long illness. A celebration of life memorial service and Masonic rites will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer, Rev. Harlan Gillespie, and Rev. Carol Sundberg will officiate. Private Burial with military honors will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery prior to the memorial service. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Friday.
Survivors include his wife Jo, three children, Tana Needham and husband Bob of Greenville, Wisconsin, Tom Helland and wife Shelly of La Crescent, Minnesota, and Sara Blessing and husband Mike of Davenport, Iowa, his mother Mildred Helland of Waterloo, three sisters Nadine Strait of Leon, Carol Timson of Traer, and Marilyn Gill of Cedar Rapids, and six grandchildren, Tom, Kami, Kelsey, Erik, Andrew, and Hanna. He was preceded in death by his father Herman Helland and a brother Jerry Helland.
Chester was born December 31, 1932, in Thompson, Iowa to Herman and Mildred Hunter Helland. He married Jo Ann Asper on December 22, 1956 in Waterloo. Chet was a relations representative for Blue Cross/Blue Shield from 1972 to 1988, and then worked in sales for US Cellular prior to his retirement. He served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Hanford American Legion Post No 5, Elkahir Shrine, Scottish Rite, and Bruce Masonic Lodge #665. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, coin collection, carpentry, and spending time with his family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.

Chloe Faye Holub
Born in Cedar Rapids on July 20, 2005

Chloe Faye Holub, 7 week old daughter of Brandon and Mary Holub, died suddenly Wednesday, September 7, 2005, in St. Luke's Hospital. Graveside services at 2 PM Sunday in Spring Grove Cemetery on Ross Road near Covington, Iowa. Friends may call at the cemetery beginning at 1 PM on Sunday. Arrangements by Cedar Memorial Funeral Home.
Survivors include her parents Brandon and Mary Holub, grandparents James and Connie Hultquist of Marion, Scott and Teri Lubben of Palo, and Randy and Barbi Holub of Robins, great-grandparents Velma Brady of Cedar Rapids, Darrell and Jan Harris of Cedar Rapids, Ed and Pat Lubben of Anamosa, Will and Peggy Holub of Cedar Rapids, and Dixie Hennig of Fayette, Iowa.
Chloe was born July 20, 2005, in Cedar Rapids.

Leo H. Handler
Born in New York City on August 14, 1920
Departed on September 1, 2005. Resided in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Service: Wednesday, December 31, 1969
Cemetery: Eben Israel Cemetery
Leo H. Handler, 85, a resident of Northbrook Manor died there Thursday September 1, 2005 peacefully in his sleep. Services:10:00 am Friday at Temple Judah by Rabbi Aaron Sherman.
Burial: Eben Israel Cemetery. Turner East Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, Mark Handler and wife Patty of Marion, a daughter, Barbara Feller and husband Steve of Robins, two grandchildren, Heidi and Rachel Feller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, Robert Handler.
Leo was born August 14, 1920 in the Bronx in New York City, New York. He married Frances Luroe on January 19, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She died in 1997. Leo graduated from Delaware Valley College of Science & Agriculture in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 1953. He worked for the Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service and taught in Utica, New York. He was a veteran of the Navy in World War II in a Construction Battalion See Bee's in the pacific. He moved to Cedar Rapids in 1983 to be with children and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his humor and ability to fix anything. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Northbrook Manor Care Center for the loving care they gave Leo.
A memorial fund has been established for Linn County Conservation and Temple Judah.
