Robert “Bob” R. Hamilton, 66, of Cedar Rapids, IA died Friday, November 5, 2010 at home following a lengthy illness.
Services: 11:00 am Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 pm Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Keryl; Sons, Wade Fink of Marion and Joe Hamilton of Austin, TX; Sister, Linda Dart (Calvin) of Cedar Rapids; Granddaughter, Kylie Fink of Northglenn, CO; Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Robert Ulch.
Robert R. Hamilton was born May 21, 1944 in Mt. Pleasant, IA the son of Robert “Bud” and Mary Ellen (Logan) Hamilton. On June 13, 1981, he married
Keryl Bunn in Cedar Rapids, IA. Bob owned and operated Sammy’s Lounge in Cedar Rapids since 1979. Bob enjoyed playing cards, golfing, fishing, cars and his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
The family would like to especially thank all the wonderful people at the Iowa Blood & Cancer Care Center, Hall Radiation and St. Luke’s Hospice for the wonderful care and support given to Bob.

Rosemary A. Harvey, 76, of 427 F Ave NW, passed away, Monday, August 2, 2010, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter- day Saints Cedar Rapids 3rd Ward, 4150 Blue Jay Dr. NE. Burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday in Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving to honor her memory are her husband of 57 years Charles, daughter Jill (Douglas) Beardsley of Iowa City, Iowa, son William (Susan) Harvey of Brighton, Michigan, sister Elizabeth (Charlie) Heiden of Clive, Iowa, grandchildren, Brent (Anne) Beardsley, Alan (Jessica) Beardsley, Ryan (Nicole) Beardsley, Trevor Beardsley, Brittany (Brad) Galbraith, Andrew, Skip, Douglas, and Brooklyn Harvey, and two great grandchildren Miriam and Victoria Beardsley. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Frederick Ward Jr.
Rosemary was born September 7, 1933 in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Frederick and Mildred Moran Ward. She married
Charles W. Harvey on April 19, 1953, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She and her husband owned and operated Lilly Printing Co. for 42 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints where she was active serving a full time mission, taught institute, and a worker in the Nauvoo Illinois Temple. She was also a member Cedar Chapter Order of Eastern Star, El Kahir Women’s Auxiliary, and Past President of the Social Order of Beauceant. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and helping others.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke’s Hospice.

Doris M. Haverly, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday July 8, 2010 in the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church by the Rev. David O’Connor. Inurnment: Mt Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home where a vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Elmer, her children; Ronald, Mary Ann, Janet, Karen, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, David, a daughter, Kathy Jo, and grandson,
Doris was born May 23, 1928 in Bloomer, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Catherine Kunesh Marek. She married
Arthur Elmer Haverly on May 6, 1947 in Bloomer, Wisconsin. Doris was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and volunteered over 4000 hours to Mercy Medical Center. She was an avid reader, Packer Fan and a card player. Her favorite was spending time with her grandchildren.

Dorothy J. Hart, 93, of Sacramento, California formerly of Cedar Rapids died Tuesday June 22, 2010 at Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Sacramento after a brief illness. Services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Jim Langley will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Monday.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Lori) Hart of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and a daughter, Judy (Ron) Shadman of Sacramento. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Julie Hoffman and Cindy Clark; four great grandchildren and one niece, Jean Williams of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Vivian Williams.
Dorothy was born on December 5, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William and Stella Aston Ward. She married
Raymond C. Hart on June 27, 1937 in Ottumwa. He died in 1980. Dorothy was a homemaker. She had a great sense of humor; enjoy cooking and baking. She was renowned for her delicious pies.
Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Marilyn J. Houck, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died June 14, 2010 following a sudden illness. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. Dr. Dale Holloway of Living Hope Wesleyan Church will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her children Curtis Houck and Cathryn Houck both of Cedar Rapids; her brother Warne S. May, Jr. and his wife Vicki C. May of Austin, TX; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marilyn Jean Houck was born August 17, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Warne S. May, Sr. and Carlyn (Meyer). She married
John J. Houck in 1973 in Cedar Rapids, they were later divorced. She was employed at R.C.I. as an ultrasound technician for over 20 years. She attended Living Hope Wesleyan Church, where she was involved with bible study and several church activities. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, and her cat Mister. She was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the fund established in Marilyn’s honor.

Carleta A. Holloway, 67, of 2276 Forest Dr. SE died Sunday June 13, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center after a long illness. Services at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Rev. David Hohmann will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday.
Survivors include her husband, David, three daughters, Kim Berger of Downey, Karla Waggener of Hiawatha, and Sara Holloway of Monticello; a son Warren Waggener of Hiawatha and a sister, LaWona (Rick) Talcott of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Lacie and Cody Berger, Megan and Alissa Stockman, Madison and Miranda Waggener, Tyler Blattner, Rylee Holloway and Lily Kraus; many nieces and nephews to include a very special niece Jen Talcott ; as well as sisters-in-law, Kay (Paul) Knight and Joan (Glenn) Exline. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Glenn Exline and one nephew.
Carleta was born on November 26, 1942 in Centerville, the daughter of Ronald and Lucille Exline. She married
David H. Holloway on January 22, 1988 in Cedar Rapids. Carleta worked at Nissan Universal before their closing in 1994 for 24 years. She later worked at Cryovac, Square D and retired from Franklin Middle School. Carleta was a member of First Congregational Church. She enjoyed going camping, reading, computer games and time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
