Byron J. Ingram, 44, of 439 Sunset Dr. in Lebanon, MO. formerly of Cedar Rapids died Friday Sept. 8, 2006 at St. John's Hospital in Lebanon, MO. after a long illness. Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM on Friday at All Saints Catholic Church. Rev. David O'Connor will officiate. Inurnment at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday where there will be a vigil service at 6:00 PM.
Survivors include his parents, Gordon and Rosemary Ingram of Lebanon, MO., a brother, Patrick and two sisters, Maureen Lee and Diane Struve all of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Byron was born on Aug. 9, 1962 in Cedar Rapids the son of Gordon and Rosemary Hayes Ingram. He graduated from Regis High School in 1980. He graduated from DeVry University in Kansas City, MO. in 1984 and went from there to work for Scientific Atlanta Co. in Sunnyvale, CA. After two years there he went to New Mexico to attend the College of Engineering in Albuquerque, NM. He started showing symptoms of multiple sclerosis after about three years while in his junior year but was not diagnosed until much later. It progressed very rapidly and ultimately led to his demise.
Byron will be remembered for his sense of humor and compassion. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Janice M. Irons

Janice M. Irons, 66, 417 Elder Lane NW died Thursday, September 14, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 2:00 P.M. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 3PM to 7PM on Sunday. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate.
Survivors include her husband Chuck; two daughters, Debbie Goodsman Keith of Dallas, TX and Kim Novak Michael of Palo; a son, Rod Irons Amy of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Chelsea and Austin Goodsman, Tiffany and Brandon Novak and Caitlyn Irons; her mother, Velva Moorman of Manchester; three brothers, Daryl Moorman of Opelika, AL, Roger Moorman of Lamont, and Bruce Moorman of Manchester; and a sister, Georgia Jones of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by her father Harold, and her father-in-law Harold Irons.
Janice was born July 22, 1940 in Manchester, the daughter of Harold and Velva Pohlman Moorman. She married
Charles Edward Irons on October 20, 1957 in Elkader. She enjoyed scrapbooking and she loved gardening. Janice was a homemaker through and through. She was a great and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
A memorial fund has been established.
Marla Sue Ikeda

Marla Sue Ikeda, 70, of Fairfax, died Monday February 15, 2010 in her home following a long illness. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday at Hillside Wesleyan Church by the Rev. J. Richard Ernst. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel and after 9:00 a.m. at the church on Friday.
Survivors include her husband Akio Ikeda, a son, John Ikeda and wife Sandy of Fairfax, a daughter, Andrea Ikeda of Chicago, a brother, William Yakish and wife Rae Jean of Cedar Rapids, two granddaughters, Kyra Judith Ikeda and Haley Sue Ikeda and a grandson, Devin Lloyd Ikeda.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Marla was born April 16, 1939 in Iowa City, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen (Petru) Yakish. She married
Akio Ikeda on February 2, 1970 in Yokosuka, Japan. She was an elementary school teacher in Garrison, Williamsburg, Vinton, Japan and Cedar Rapids. Marla was a member of Hillside Wesleyan Church where she was involved in supporting missions work and taught preschool Sunday School for 25+ years. She loved traveling, sewing, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece and aunt. Marla will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Khalil Hassan Igram

Khalil “Charlie” Igram, 82, of 2542 30th St SW died Tuesday May 26, 2009 in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services were held Tuesday. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel was in charge of the arrangements. Burial: Islamic National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Yusra Igram, 3 sons and 3 daughters, his siblings, Fatima Hutchings of Cedar Rapids, Naifi Dingle of Colorado and Nagi Igram of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are 25 beautiful grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His parents and sister Sahadi preceded him in death.
Khalil was born in Lebanon, the son of Hassan and Lila Igram. He married
Yusra El Sayed in 1953 in London, Ontario. He retired from Cedar Graphics in 2000. He was a member of the Islamic Center of Cedar Rapids. He was a man of great faith and worshiped one God. He loved his family very much and his wife Yusra was the love of his life.

David James Imhoff

David James Imhoff, 56, of Marion, died October 7, 2008 in his home following a short illness. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 10, 2008 at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Garden of Tranquility Section. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Jackie and her children Ronnie (Jessica) Heggebo of Vinton, Christopher Heggebo and Misty Cady both of Cedar Rapids; his mother Dorothy Imhoff; his two maternal children Kristy and Jamie; grandchildren Soleil, Mariah, Cassie, Zach, KayLee, RayLynn, Noah, and Leland; brothers Herman, Richard, Dennis, Robert, Tom and Jerry; sisters Irene, Harriett, Doris, Bonnie, and Julie; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Antone, and a brother Eugene.
David James Imhoff was born September 17, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, the beloved son of Antone E. and Dorothy (Beard) Imhoff. He was employed at the Cedar Rapids Schools for several years as a custodian, and for 13 years was a driver for ABC Disposal. He was united in marriage to Jackie on March 30, 1984 in Marengo. He enjoyed working on cars, and fishing.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund established in David’s honor.
Douglas John Ilten

Douglas John Ilten: 45, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, January 6 in Fort Pierce, Florida. A celebration of his life service will be at Noon on Thursday, January 18 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Lori Wunder of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 11:30 at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery in Cedar Rapids. A reception will follow at the Cedar Rapids Country Club. Friends may, if they wish, donate to a memorial fund that has been established in Doug's memory.
Doug is survived by his wife, Ann of Nashville, his parents, Lee and Ethel Ilten of Cedar Rapids, his grandmother Mrs. Lee Ilten Sr., his brother, Dan Ilten and wife Suzanne of Edina, Minnesota, two sisters, Pamela Strauss and husband Steve of Cedar Rapids and Vicki Peters and husband Stacey of Bourbonnais, Illinois and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, friends and colleagues that he dearly loved.
Doug was born May 6, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Lee and Ethel Vangen Ilten. He graduated from Washington High School in 1979 and attended the Iowa State University where he studied graphic arts. Doug married
Ann O'Donnell on November 15, 1997 at First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. Doug turned his passion for music into a successful company that he founded - Black and White Backline Company in Nashville, Tennessee. His dynamic company provided musical instruments to a host of artists around the country. He worked with Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Kool and the Gang, Jeffrey Osborne, the Beach Boys, to name a few. He also orchestrated half time shows for 6 NFL Super Bowls. Doug was an accomplished artist and enjoyed painting beautiful images. He worked in Chicago for an art gallery where he learned more about his passion for art.
As a young man, Doug was also an accomplished athlete. He participated in golf and basketball at Washington High School. He won three consecutive junior golf tournaments at the Cedar Rapids Country Club and played on the Junior Pro Circuit for a while. Doug possessed a warm, compassionate and caring heart. He carried a laugh that no one will forget. He deeply cared for animals rescuing many cats and dogs from hazardous situations hence he and Ann have 3 dogs and 6 cats at home. Paramount in Doug's life was his deep and unwavering love for his wife, family and friends. He also really enjoyed children because Doug was a kid at heart. His spiritual essence was felt by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service will also be held at Soundcheck, 750 Cowan Street, Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, January 23 at 5:00 p.m.
