Nancy Lee Jones, 58, of Cedar Rapids went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 26, 2011. She passed away at home with her family around her. Services: 11:00 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband Bradley D. Jones, a son, Jamie Douglas Jones and wife Jamie of Marion, her grandson, Connor Jones, her mother, Kathryn Howrey of Cedar Rapids, two sisters, Lonnie Alff, Mary Ann Dondels, and two brothers, Bill Howrey and Colin Howrey. She was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Jones, her father, Clyde K. Howrey and a brother, Bobby Howrey.
Nancy was born October 3, 1952 in Anamosa, the daughter of Clyde and Kathryn Howrey. She married
Bradley D. Jones on April 3, 1969 in Cedar Rapids. Nancy was employed with Pitney Bowes as a mail sorter and loved her job and the people she worked with. Nancy’s hobbies were spending time with family, her grandson, planting flowers, yard work and cooking for family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Luke’s Hospice for the loving care they gave to Nancy.

Marilyn J. Johnson, 88, of Marion, died Sunday July 24, 2011 in her home. Services: 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Mike Morgan. Visitation will be on Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. and after 2:30 p.m. at the chapel on Saturday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Kim D. Johnson of Cedar Rapids and Kris B. Johnson of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, her grandchildren, Courtney Daniels of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Charles Johnson, Tyler Johnson and Spencer Johnson all of Cedar Rapids, Ellie Johnson and Mollie Johnson both of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald L. Johnson, a daughter Anita Daniels, a sister, Shirley Wallace and a brother, Gene Balcom.
Marilyn was born November 5, 1922 in Caledonia, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Jennie Kvarme Balcom. The family moved to Marion in 1936, where Marilyn helped her parents run a farm and dairy delivery service. She married
Donald L. Johnson on September 7, 1947 in Marion, Iowa. Marilyn worked at the A&W; in Marion, the Marion Train Depot, Collins Radio, a legal secretary for a Marion Law Firm, and a secretary for the superintendant for Marion Schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion where she was active in various administrative committees and active in United Methodist Women. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, writing poetry and playing the guitar. Her favorite pass times were spending time with her grandchildren and taking trips to the cabin on the lake in Wisconsin. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Troy Johnson, 42, of Dubuque, formerly of Cedar Rapids died Friday. August 12, 2011.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private inurnment will be held in Palo Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Suzi of Dubuque; sons, Ricky (Kelly) Sanchez, Isaiah Abreo, Kim (Amber) Abreo all of Dubuque; 3 grandchildren; and his parents, Virgil and Karon Johnson of Cedar Rapids; numerous family and friends.

Hugh D. Johnson, 50, of Marion, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. with a vigil beginning at 4 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; children, Courtney and Dailey Johnson, both of Marion; his mother, Jacqueline Johnson of Burlington; sister, Maureen Johnson of New York, NY; a granddaughter, Campbell; his in-laws, Ronald and Dorothy Putzler of Aurora, IL; and brother-in-law, Ron Putzler of Yorkville, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh R. Johnson.
Hugh was born August 2, 1961 in Springfield, IL to Hugh and Jacqueline Johnson. He graduated from Davenport Central High School and received his bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Iowa in 1984. He owned and operated his own company dealing with protective coatings and linings. Hugh loved to hunt, fish, and barbecue. He was an avid Hawkeye fan, enjoyed tailgating at the Iowa football games, and was a proud supporter of his children’s activities.
Hugh was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Daniel James Jasper

Daniel James Jasper, 16, of Cedar Rapids, passed away in Omaha. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at St. Patrick’s Church, 500 First Ave. NW, with a vigil service at 5:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Local arrangements are with Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel.
Daniel was born Dec. 18, 1994, the first child of Dave and Kathy (Bockenstedt) Jasper. Sister Ellen joined the family in 1997. He attended Regis, Xavier and Kennedy schools and most recently Boys Town in Omaha.
He loved being with family, friends, sports and the outdoors.
In addition to his parents and sister, he is survived by his grandparents, JoAnn Bockenstedt of Manchester and Tom and Joan Jasper of Dyersville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Bockenstedt, and his uncle, James Bockenstedt.
God bless you, Daniel, you’re at peace now.

Dale Keith Junge, 79, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Keystone, died Sunday October 23, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
Funeral Services will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4210 Johnson Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, 11:00, Thursday October 27 with Dean Rothchild presiding. Visitation from 4 - 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26th at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, and one hour before service. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of 58 years, son David Junge (Mary), daughter Diane Kelley and one grandson Matt Junge all of Cedar Rapids, nephews Dan, Dennis, and Doug Schmuecker, niece Loretta Brickley and an aunt, Pearl Schuldt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth Kruckenberg.
Dale was born March 1, 1932 in Keystone to Harry and Irene (Schuldt) Junge. He married
Marilyn Stolper, October 3, 1953 in Luzerne, Iowa. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict from 1953 – 1955. He farmed in the Keystone area until he moved to Cedar Rapids in 1992. He loved to golf and his woodworking.
He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Keystone American Legion Post #107, Keystone Turners and in past years served on the Schroeder Public Library Board, Keystone Nursing Home Board and was Homer Township Clerk.
